A Tribute to Corbett on Environment Day Chuka Men Eater

I went to explore the tree under which Chuka men Eater was killed but it was unsuccessful attempt however I was happy enough to rescue one calf from being drowned I am thankful to my sons, brother and local people who helped me in my endeavour and also very much thankful to Gauri Singh Ji on 5th of june It being a environment day I pay my tribute to greatest hunter of all the time besides being an environmentalist and naturalist

The Chuka maneater was shot from a Ficus Tree. Mrs Ibbotsen took a photo of the tree and you can find it online.

The tree from which Chuka maneater being shot doesn't exist anymore. Our research team had been to exact place where the Maneater was killed by Jim Corbett. Your efforts are commendable. Thanks for sharing this video.

Thanks.I recently went there spent ten days and have got the spot u wud b surprised to know. The age of that kind of tree varies hundred fifty year to three hundred years .since Im following the trail I went step by step exactly two mile towards west of thak and between kotkendri and thak,only one one percent is left unless Im hundred percent sureI will not post the video as I have a great respect for jim

@@ukrover5087 The Ficus tree from which Corbett shot the Chuka maneater had been burned up due to lightening in 1995. I am pretty much sure about that.

@@allakhtar1861 that is why I told u one percent is lef,I was in that area for ten days and combed the entire woods asked the person who knew the jungle his whole life is spent there.the original picture is always with me four persons carrying the tigers. Taken by i ibbys wife,still my hunt is one .for your kind information there r eight hundred fifty trees of ficus of this family.thanks
