Thank You again UK for the view of the Bungalow Our great Hero Jim Corbett stayed in just before killing the Champawat Tiger . I am looking at the chapter in the book " Man eaters of Kumaon " , where he talks about the bungalow , it is so COOL to read the story while I watch you standing right where it all happened .. You have done us another great favor UK !! Be careful out in the Bush , we don't want any harm to come to you .. Your Friend ,, Jeff Warren
@@ukrover5087 - I watched video again , ,, I am looking at my 1946 { date of publishing } copy of " Man Eaters Of Kumaon " and it looks like Champawat is sitting kinda alone on the map ,, Bhunaghat to the northwest , Lohaghat to the northeast , and Sem , Chuka , and Thak to the southeast ,,, back in 1907 Champawat must of been alot smaller & more secluded than today .. When you showed the City , I saw housing all around in the hills in Champawat ,, most of those hills must of been wild forest in Mr Jims day ,, knowing he walked to Chuka from there , gives me even more respect for his bravery , yet although he was brave and having grown up in Nain Nital region ,, I think it wasn't just bravery , but his Great Love for the Country and especially the People that drove him to destroy the Maneaters , in his mind those Tigers were killing his family of the Hills people . Great men as Mr Jim only come once in many generations ,, I seriously doubt the World will ever see his kind again , because the Country will never be or look as it once did ,,, Jim Corbett was the last of his kind and that is why he is my Hero and always will be ,, I have taught my Sons & Grandchildren to idolize him too .. Stay Healthy and Safe my greatly respected Friend UK .. We will talk again soon ..
@@jeffwarren6906 Respected Jeff you are absolutely right about the place and bravery of the great Jim. Champawat was a very small town even when I was small. It was surrounded by densely wooded land. I wish you could see these very places physically in my company. Anyway I do not know much about yourself except name and beautiful comments, yet I have developed a great respect and sense of friendship for you . May this unknown friendship last long. I wish if not physically at least over the video call we can see each other in near future. Take care remain in touch and you know how much I adore the great Jim just like you hopefully you will see many more spots of the great Jim which have not yet been discovered. Thanks a lot Regards Uk Rover
Jim Corbett really cared about the people. Even when he was sick he went out looking to kill the man eater. So good of him for his much he cared about the people where he grew up.
I recently read an article in Internet about this incident. His Cook a Muslim ,said that Jim came out of the room without his shirt with perspiration and sweating at night. The conclusion was that he was suffering from claustrophobia. This he might have acquired in his childhood and, therefore, stayed in tent when hunted for tigers, while his men slept inside room! There is nothing more to infer
last victim relative may have forgotten something. last victim was 16-17 years in 1907. she may had born in 1890-91. His grandpa may have born in 1900-1905. his father in 1930's ....... so may be the last victim was great grrandpa's sister
Absolutely brilliant video ...I always wait for your vidoes on Jim Corbett legacy..you are true admirer of Jim and he will be watching you from happy hunting grounds and his blessings are with you 🙏🙏keep up the good work 🙏

Many thanks to you for showing this and other remarkable places associated with the Legendary Jim Corbett -the much famous and beloved Carpet Sahib of the Kumaon Hills!
Thanks you so much for showing us the bungalow we read only in the book. Would you please add caption in English when in conversation in other languages so that we could understand?
@@ukrover5087 I have watched most of your videos about Jim Corbett. It’s because of you that we are able to see the places described in his books in video.Even though you cover most of the hunting places he mentioned, there is one important place in Jim’s life you haven’t covered so far. That place is Choti Haldwani about which Jim wrote a lot in his book - Jungle Lore. I haven’t seen any videos on UA-cam that cover extensively on that village. I would be very grateful if you could make a video about Jim’s village and its wall.

Thank you Sir, for your tour of the bungalow. And yes, the room was dark in broad daylight. Watching this excellent program from Birmingham, Alabama USA
This bunglow is haunted and Jim felt some extra energy pushing him down..he went outside of room and spent the night in courtyard...some people believed that he was claustrophobic that's why he felt like this...but tehsildar also not ready to spend night there..so it proves otherwise
Cary in Tucson US. It is so wonderful to see the places and countryside refered to by Corbett in his books. That bungalow is the one Jim refers to in his book as involving supernatural events that were not relevant to his story. But that he would write about in another book?
I have always been mystified by what happened that night all those years ago. I think it was of an evil spiritual nature. From your South African friend.
