Devidhura is 45 k.m. from Lohaghat. This powerful Temple is the same temple of Temple Tiger. Where the great Jim Tried to kill a Tiger which was not maneater but the tiger could not be killed despite getting many chances. We do not downplay Jim's ability and efficiency, since this tiger belong to Goddess that is why it could not be killed, which eventually Jim acknowledge. At Devidhura a world ...

I am following the first one via kotkendri overlooking Maa Purnagiri as per the wish of the great Jim, but the terrain of this way is dour and full of danger especially in rainy season. it was in this village Jim came to the end of his man eater hunting career. Many many thanks to you sir, so that you have discovered the place where the man eater of CHAMPAWAT (Kumayun) was gunned down by Sir Jemes Adward KORBETT after killing more than 450 poor people. I have visited KALADGUNGA village of Korbett Sir, I have seen so many things of his in the museum and that great WALL which was constructed by him to save people from the wild animals! But couldn't go to the any place/spot where that great man killed a Man Eater! Now this Video you made, has given me very glad sir! Thank you, go ahead!
@@debajyotibandyopadhyay1414 thanks keep watching all videos to know more about j the great jim
10:46 the village shown at 10:46 , is that your relative's village?
0:37 I often see this confluence of Ladhya and Sharada ( JC called it Sarda), in Google Maps and always wonder how this place looks in reality, how high are the surrounding mountains etc etc. But today, I can see it here. Great share. Is Village Sem, also visible from the rock? Today one can see many houses and terrace fields on the eastern side of this place.
You r right. Thaks
Yes you can see if u stand it is just five hundred m
15:17 8:44 the houses are pucca built.... 11:24 this time also, tigers or any other animal, may be using them to live, at night.... 12:06 this one looks old house. Others look quite recent, in comparison 12:37 this one looks of thak maneaters time 13:48 its dangerous to go inside, it may fall down or a hidden animal or a snake may come out 15:17 that big rock with the ledge... But why did that plaque is built there. Its destroying the original look of that rock... They should have encircled with some metal chain and put the board at some distance, pointing towards the rock. But there are chances that this could not be the original rock....the researcher-author has written it... 16:08 surpring!!!! The water spring is still there!! 18:30 So the tigers are still living there! I was about to ask in the comment section. So it's risky.
@@vandanaabhade8885 yes even I also think something but if it is it wud b very close not more than hundred metre as Im quite familiar to that village. And visit that area and meet the people who have settled down elsewhere sone of them r ny relatives but the terrain is the same
@@vandanaabhade8885 yes the spring is the same v have planted some mango sapling over there
@@vandanaabhade8885 yes tigers r there even today. I visit Kotkendriya quite often and people tell me about tigers though I cud not see but pugmarks
7:11 Thula kot 9:42 dungarsing's house
1:37 it's quite slippery and risky... Thanks for sharing this video... We can see the terrain is so challenging. True jungle 5:05 the pugmarks are bigger than human hand, so could be of tigers
@@vandanaabhade8885 yes ur right if possible watch my latest video panarman eater thanks
@@ukrover5087 yes, I watched it. And I have been there. In sainoli's rice field, where that leopard was killed. It's jungle there. But saw women going there to collect firewood. In your video, you escaped from leopard encounter luckily. *have you been to Kanda maneater killing site, sir?*

@@sunitamishra4412 Thanks, keep on watching my latest videos!
this is like a dream come true for Jim Corbett fans. first time i read man eaters of kumaon was in 1994. today first time i saw thak village. this will always be special for corbett and his fans coz this was his last hunt. i remember the part where corbett heard a mans dying cries at night from the then deserted thak vilage, though people returned after the man eater was dead. lekin aaj dekho, thak is deserted for good now. fascinating to think.
@@rd7068 yes you r ight if possible watch my latest video panar videos and tallde u wud like them. Thanks
This was fascinating. I am a great student of all Corbett's books. The country is not what I had pictured from the books, perhaps because of his unfortunate habit of referring to nearly all kinds of woodland as "jungle," when technically none of it was.
