Most of us who enjoy Mr Corbetts tiger hunting stories have tried to picture in our minds , what this Bungalow looked like ., When i'm reading about the tigers of Thak & Chuka , I think of the nights Jim spent here , wondering , was the tiger outside while he slept ? was it looking for a way in ? Each time you bring us something new , it fills our heads with awe & wonder for the great Man , Mr Jim Corbett . I have passed my love for this mans courage on to my Sons and they to theirs ,,, now , their experiences with the Kumaon maneaters has been greatly enriched thanks to your sharing with us .. Thank You UK

Thank you so much for producing these videos! It now gives me a real idea of what Jim describes in his books! Please keep it up! Your South African friend, Rupert.
I, too, grew up reading of Jim Corbett's amazing exploits, living in Assam. I have recently rekindled my interest in his writings. Thank you for giving me a visual record to link to his written record of these hunts.
Thanks a lot sir..I've read Jim Corbett's books so many times. It's my Dad's blessings and encouragement that have made me deeply fallen in love with the Indian wildlife. And at 54 yrs I'm still more hungry for the same after having been enjoying the tigers and all the beautiful different fllora n fauna of the Indian jungles like Corbett,Kanha,Bandhavgarh, etc, since last about 30 yrs. And I find your videos of those rest houses and places so spine chilling since when I watch them many of those details just strike back through the grey cells and makes me feel the awe in Jim's adventures with quite some visualisations. Since now I miss all those jungle safaris as I've moved to the USA about 1.5 yrs back and longing to go on a safari asap. Also I request you to shoot a video of the Dak bunglow right opposite to the Dhikala rest house(sorry I don't remember the name😀)and do include the original signature of Jim Corbett in the entry register there which is,I've heard the same even today. Thanks a lot dear..💐👍
@@ukrover5087 I did..Thank you so much for making it possible for us to picturise those scenes in our hero Jim's adventures.👍By the way what is Jim's exact birthdate? I'm sorry I'm not aware about this information right now.
Congratulations on your one more milestone of Jim Corbett's trail....BTW I also came back from ranthambore safari today morning and finally this time I was able to see my first tiger in wild (T58) in zone 6...😎😎
Thanks a lot Sir, after my visit to Kumaon - Garhwal (2 weeks back) & watching your several videos, I have ordered both the books (Man - Eaters of Kumaon & Rudraprayag) on Flipkart. It will be adventurous experience for me to read the books & simultaneously watching the places mentioned in the books through your UA-cam channel 😊☺🙂
I have all the books written by Jim Corbett. I fell in love with his stories when I was in 9th grade school in the 50's. Just to let you know that most of the books are available in narration form on UA-cam. One of them is here: ua-cam.com/video/blFpokHw_KA/v-deo.html
I am surprised that nowadays you can reach Kaladhunga bungalow by car. In 2016 there's no road there and I walk from Thuligad to Chuka, a hard 19kms trek and pass by this beautiful bungalow. Very nice video indeed, it is fantastic to follow on the footsteps of the great Jim Corbett, congrats brother!
Yes ,dear now there is road up to chuka.next time you can go by car till chuka than from there thak is close, the video is very much there abot thak village.thanks
@@ukrover5087 Great to hear that, but it was a pleasure to do the trek in the same fashion Corbett did more than 80 years ago. The path on the Sarda Gorge is gorgeous. I spent a very scary night camping on a terraced field at the abandoned Thak village, what a experience indeed! I saw the rock from where Corbett shot the Thak maneater one day after they put the commemorative plaque in there on april 2016. For me it is a pleasure to my soul to follow Jim Corbett footsteps, to see the places trodden by him so long time ago. All the best brother and take care!

@@ukrover5087 Yes, from Thak I went back to Tanakpur via Kot Kendri where I search for the mango tree near where the first victim was taken. Then I spend a night on another terraced field there and reach Purnagiri next day, where a car was waiting for me. I have been to Tulla Kot village on Tallas Des area two times in 2016 and 2018. I need to go back there one more time since I want to follow the path used the day Jim shot the tigress on the west side of the saddle. In 2016 it was difficult to go down on that valley because the path was completely covered by a thick carpet of pine sticks. I found the task a bit dangerous as the path was very steep and I fear to slip and fall on the precipice. In 2018 I arrived there a bit too late, so no success on my plan one more time.
