  • Roti as many of you know is a flat bread that comes with a side of curry. I grew up eating roti, sadly no one in my family knew how to make it but my mom had a Fijian friend who made the best roti and curry. I did my research and did a few trial runs before I made this video. It tasted what I would expect of a Roti and I hope this basic how to video helps you to make the roti for your curry. I enjoyed devouring it with my chicken curry. Hope you all enjoy

Looks good. I wonder if the Fijians borrowed that recipe from their Indian neighbours.

"Indo-Fijian", they are Fijian, and we all call ourselves Fijian.

@@justmila68 Nope. Not Fijian. This is what happened to Hawaiian's they can longer call themselves actual Hawaiian's anymore, they have to call themselves "Native Hawaiian" meanwhile Philpino's, Japanese, Chinese, Korean's etc get to refer to themselves as "Hawaiian's". The same as "Native American's" they were robbed of calling themselves the actual "American's". In Tonga the Chinese migrants and small groups of newly arrived Phillipino are pushing to call themselves "Tongan" meanwhile if the government and UN pass this as law on the same grounds that passed for Hawaiian situaiton it will dispossess and displace the actual real Tongan's identity and hierachary in THEIR OWN LANDS! There was a coup in Fiji in the 90's because the actual Fijian's who are indigenous to their lands were getting really tired of being pushed and bullied by the migrant Indian's. I've heard migrant Indian's refer to our Fijian brothers and sisters as "lazy" and "dumb" and even "Black" by actual Indian's who are the same skin colour??? The audacity of Indian migrants to go to a country that is not theirs and demand to have the same rights and same entitlements as its Indigenous and natural citizens is beyond me! If India and China were not so heavily populated and impacting the rest of the world and its natural resources with its over population we would not be in the global conundrum we are in today. I was appalled at suggestions by Bill Gates to significantly reduce the worlds population but now I am in favour of it and I believe that it should be the countries with highest populace that need to be reduced to save our planet. It is just not fair. We do not need more of one dominating group of people to take over indigenous lands and to not practice preventative pregnancies.
