This one is pretty amazing for a Timex! That rotor looks like an 8 series movement. I wish they would have used a 9 series for that price, but still nice either way!
Hey Dan at the 5:45 mark Random Rob says it has a 4hz sweep with 28800 vibrations per hour so isn't that a Miyota 9 series movement? I thought all 8 series were 3hz 21600 vph.
Cool watch all around. I like the grey strap. That color orange (strap) just reminds me of the the "hunter" saftey orange we had to wear while hunting in NJ. Field watch for hunting? Pretty cool!
This is another nice watch from Timex. They are really putting out some fun watches. Lately I have purchased mk1 mechanical and m79 automatic blue dial. Love them both😎
Great vid. Sounds like a miyota 8215. You can see if it's a 9015 as the 9xxx series ticks quicker. Also the 9015 is 1.5mm thinner. This watch is fast. It's probs the 8215
If Timex wants to sell watches that cost more than $100 then they need to do some rebranding....maybe a spinoff like Grand Seiko. At the end of the day, I am sporting a Timex and for this price I would rather support a microbrand
Betting that the only reason they make these is to change the perception that Timex is cheapo-only. With is tricky when you still make plated brass cases.
Ooof 300$ timex kinda sus to me tbh the marlin auto was a great move and their like weekenders are awesome but timex is a 150$ bellow brand , like I like bulova but im not buying a 800$ bulova
Hoo... I don't feel like I "missed out" on anything Timex. Do not understand the fascination with the brand. There's so much better stuff out there for that price point.

@@gunot5407 If you look at the sweep it looks like a 3hz. It's a 21 jewel movement, so definitely a 8000 series. Still a good deal imho.
@@GeeMood yeah I definitely thought it was an 8 series too but just was thrown off by what Rob said. Thanks 👌.
Think I was wrong to say 4hz, it’s the 8000 3hz for sure.
I like that better than my quartz titanium Victorinox that came on orange rubber strap.

Orange strap goes well with this!
Very cool. I put that orange fkm strap on my squale 1521 militaire. Looks amazing.🍊
Nothing is better than Indiglo! 😎
Simple clean watch. I think the date window could have been better. The orange strap choice looks great.
I have the first model with the black dial and love it. Should get the white dial one this week🤞
Hey Rob, that looks just brilliant on orange
Love this watch but $400 for a Timex is ridiculous.
I got the Expidition North with a bit of discount for 250.

Nice with the orange strap

lovely looking. Just too big for me. I really like it. I wonder do they do it in quartz.
A very nice watch, but the movement is definitely an 8 series (21 jewels)
Yeah, newer 8000 series that hacks. That works for me.
Had the first version. It was a nice watch but boy it wore big. Felt clunky on the wrist and i sold it rather fast.

Where can you get a mechanical watch with a Miyota movement for under $150. Even the Ali Express brands aren’t a guarantee for under $150 any more.
@@dspserpico Is it not an automatic? I do like it but its up against a lot of opposition with the likes of bulova and seiko at this price point.
For an automatic titanium watch that's a good price
Still waiting on the Brian collab 👍
Yeah, "automatic" would have been a breath of fresh air.
Way too expensive for a Timex, they should stick to making budget watches with the signature wobbly seconds hand 😁
💟
They are releasing these 250 at a time.
