Is War Within worth it? So far it looks like the development of the new expansion is shaping up to be among the most community driven out of all of them. Player feedback is being implemented in a lot of facts of the game and we see this with every new war within beta build. Now, is wow worth playing in 2024, after the new expansion is released? Let’s find out :)

Dragonflight was the first to breakdown those barriers and removing the bad stuff and with the bad stuff gone now they can start building a new future.
There's indubitably going to be more "bad stuff". That's just the marriage between corporate and creative processes. What matters is how the bad stuff, i.e. the ensuing criticism, is being dealt with.
And that only time will tell. Although I am optimistic. :)

@@face0fmars dogshit is crazy. the expansion was nowhere near "dogshit". GOOD at a minimum. People like you are the reason people say wow players can ever be satisfied. There was nothing objectively bad about this expansion, it was a regular ass expac. it wasn't legion, but it was definitely good.

Idk in terms of gameplay dragonflight was awesome

Now if the war within have the same amount of content plus a good theme and story so we can talk about one of the best expansion

Don't want to be negative and really want this to be good - dont get me wrong i still play the game / many versions of it like classic / cata / retailbut after playing Blizzard games and specifically wow for so many years i know the loop...
Expansion about to go out : we listen / hype people >
Expansion lunches : features have issues and they start to not listen progressively (Bfa Azerite / Legion Artifacts + legendary etc etc.) >
Few patches later "ok we were wrong we will fix it" >
by the time they fix it and give what people been asking from like season 1 its season 4 and they start the loop again with new expansion preparation

Ever since Wrath, I’ve primarily been interested in the story. I’ve done all the other stuff along the way too, dungeons, M+, raiding, pvp, etc., but to be honest I was originally hooked by the story. Until the end of Shadowlands. The Jailers motivations broke me. It made me realize that the story team had no idea where they were going, there is no grand story design. I couldn’t have been the only one since shortly after that Metzen was rehired. After 15 years of investment, I tapped out, I have played a second of Dragonflight and played Wrath classic instead, and from what I hear I missed out on many considered to be a decent expac. Now, that Wrath is done and I’ve been unsubbed for one of my longest stretches, we are a week or so away from TWW launch and I still haven’t bought it.
We need more war in warcraft. It just doesnt feel like the same universe anymore.

TWW is going to be setting the tone for the Worldsoul Saga so they need it to be a hit. Will it be the best? I think the potential is there but..we shall see.

Wow is the only thing today that prevent blizzard to sink and disappear, they have throw in garbage all their best title from warcraft 3 to Diablo stsrcraft, overwatch. So I'm not shock to see the effort they are putting in because if they fail they are done.

Dragonflight was solid, but it wasn't amazing because it had to redefine what are the basics of WoW. Hopefully TWW will use lessens and foundation they set up in DF and build upon it.
As a rogue main and DH alt.....yea.....super excited.....

Oh this expac learned all the RIGHT lessons from BfA, Shadowlands, and Dragonflight, obviously!!
Love how tall treat the game like it’s vastly different from the previous expansion. They changed mostly number some animations and built another zone so they can throw the new skin on the old enemies. Prime example in almost every expansion you got a quest to kill bears. The end game is repetitive grinder of low drop rates in mythic or raids. Or a boring currency grind for gear in pvp. The world last for 3 - 5 weeks depending on how much they time gate the different parts of the expansion. Then you spend the next year and a half doing those 1-3 things at nausea.
i liked shadowlands, but i'm not corrupted with 10 years of hate for the game
Legion or Pandaland was the best. But DF was nice aswell.
I'm really disappointed to the rogue hero talents so far. I hope they improve them. Rogue has been my main at the start of every expansion i've played (going all way to vanilla).
If they don't improve them on a meaningful way i'm gonna play my highmountain tauren blood dk.

So far from the beta this expansion looks great and the hero talents are going to bring some good stuff as well. My only complaint so far is just the mass pulling of everything without having to worry about any mechanics or the need for CCing. Just makes the 5 mans mobs not seem dangerous or worth a damn. Like back in the day if you didn’t use cc on mobs tactfully you’d wipe. Everything now seems to be you can face roll and force your way through things until you reach the boss and even that sometimes you can just blunt hammer it. For me it just doesn’t feel very rewarding.

The biggest con of dragonflight was that the characters and stories are something that would fit in a disney movie. TWW seems to be going to a darker direction when it comes to the story and characters which i'm hyped for.
I'm still kinda mad that we didn't get option to create them beefy boi dragons e.g. similar to the guards in Valdrakken.
That being said DF was an amazing expansion when it comes to gearing, class design and of course dragon riding.
I don’t think they ever wanted previous expansions to be less than the best, it’s just they got certain ideas in their heads about the best way to retain players and then were stubborn and took ages to change in the face of player feedback. It seems that they truly have changed that philosophy now and are listening to feedback and acting immediately.
As for what they're adding to the game and the quick responses to community feedback + UI / QoL changes.... I'm gonna guess it's gonna be one of the better expansions. It's really up to blizzard to mess it up at this point

i just hope content creators and streamers don't overhype TWW too much, you should rather say "not bad but we still need a lot" so there could be a chance, they delay the release by 1 month and we don't get an open beta 2.0 with a lot of bugs, exploits and what not. in addition blizzard tends to get lazy and dorment, if ppl praise their work too much, just keep that in mind. i hope the crest system will get some warband/acc wide treatment...if there was cut content in DF...S4 would have been the perfect timing bringing it, as well as the cut content from SL...drust etc.

It will 100% be the best expansion ever. I though it was Wraith but this is it. THis is the final push for WoW. With the Last Titan being the ending. They going all in.
Who knows? After SL, DF was a good start. Let's see what they've learned

Over last 3 days iam trying to to sub vbut its being unsubscribed as soon as i leave screen, I tried to sub on other channels and it happens only on Your channel.
i hope Blizzard will work more on UH DK's talent tree, it has way to many 2 talent points in the last row, it still has some passives that sucks, and Gargoyle is just a bad design now that we are spamming less Death Coils, they should remove that effect and bake Unholy Assault and Gargoyle together.

you were meant to feel weak going into bfa, what kind of expansion would it have been if they just gave you all the traits, people would have gotten bored of it quickly. trust me near the end of bfa. people were getting trait fatigue.

Too early to say. You said the same about DF, but DF sucked so much in terms of lore and content.
We hyped the expansion sure, can't remember we legit called it best. And people tend to focus on the negative always and actually not see how much Dragonflight change wow, or they choose not to see :P

the new hero talent is a fresh thing about TWW. dwelves is just like another island expedition in bfa. warband is good but not that great. other from that, TWW feels like another DF

i still think hero talents are a shit expansion feature.. its just like an expanded covenant system because one hero talent tree will be outperforming the other ones so once again you probably get shoehorned into a playstyle you dont understand (looking at you aldrachi reaver)...
the fact that they want this to be an evergreen feature overca few expansions really pisses me off tbh.. especially since most of the look so boring and uninspired
rest looks cool tho..

About the hero talents some of them are pretty shit. We'll see the next changes, even if i like what they did with bdk. I'll probably not buy the new extension if they dont fix the shity hero talents

Legion is the benchmark for me. It wasnt the best version of WoW, but it was a good all around expansion, with very few negatives. It isnt sustainable to make everything better than what came before it. Sometimes good is good. Right now, for me, the biggest issue is that WoW feels like D3 in the sense that its too bright and shiny and flash and "Disney"
Ngl only Dragonflight looked and felt Disney. Playing the beta rn - especially with the underground zones feel and look cool. The story feels and looks cooler too.

If you watched the whole video, they do make many good points about why prior expansions weren’t expected to be “best” and this one really is focused on improvement from the player perspective. So far I agree with them!

Blizz needs to stop with the generic armor sets. I lvl'd my destro lock to 80 on Beta and i look like a Pope not a Warlock. Bring back armor that goes with the class.
For me it can't be even good expansion. Retail is not WoW anymore. It's hard to come back after break, as its very different game. All super hero mega classes and weirdo talent trees.. No ty.
