What a wonderful teacher and charming person! I first heard David talking about importance of edges at PSOA conference in Atlanta. His teaching makes a lot of sense. Artists often spend most of their time relating values/colors, and they deal with edges at the end. After maestro's Leffel lecture I force myself to think of edges and create edge relationship from the first stages of painting. Paintings look more dramatic now. Thank you, David, for a great advice!
