A bit overdue, but here is the V2 (skate 2) video I promised: ua-cam.com/video/zCnIBMFGRA0/v-deo.html&ab_channel=ScottDixon-NordixonSkiSchool I hope it helps.
So glad I found this video. With just a few hints of it I was able to (relatively 😊) easily climb a 70 m in hight hill on my crossskates at which I was completely out of my breath before. Thank you so much, Scott.
Great stuff, as usual. The "STOLE" and "LAMP" cues gave me a 'lightbulb' moment. I haven't totally fixed my timing problems but at least I can now recognize when my timing is off. Many thanks.
Perfect! That is great to hear. If you're at that level then simply having that mental alarm clock ringing when the timing goes off is ideal. Particularly to help you get back into the correct timing when you're tired or skiing in tricky conditions
Personally, I see when people ski wrong pretty well. And often the problem is to find out what exactly should be changed and the best way to do it. I like the approach in this session. Keep it up!
It’s just my personal bias but watching people do it wrong mostly just confuses me. For me it’s more helpful to see the correct techniques demonstrated and broken down than to watch incorrect techniques changed. Either way, thanks for the video. It’s cool to see coaching and progress made.
Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate that. I have a video that addresses this exact issue which is just my explanation alone. I'm currently experimenting with video ideas to see what works best. Would be great to hear if the.other was more helpful for you: ua-cam.com/video/xpucUdSaOxE/v-deo.htmlsi=8mO4-E4M24IAIWVf
Great video! Loved the attention to detail. Any plans to do a video on V2 technique?
I'm working on that right now actually! Should be up by the weekend :) thanks for watching

Generally when you teach you demonstrate the correct technique otherwise (and as you say) it can confuse students who then do exactly the wrong thing.
you're literally wearing biking helmets to do this? just bike. it's fun. you should try it.
That's right :) no need for anything else as far as I know
