Sometime in the early ‘60s, during the one hour lunch break from school, my brother and I would watch the beginning of _Gene Autrey and the Thunder Riders_ guessing to the second how long to stay in front of the Marconi television before sprinting the near mile to school in time for the start of class. The whole craze of sport running and the industry that has evolved, has its roots in these noon time sprints. I never did see a complete episode; here they are some 60 years later.
3:20 Oh what acting. And then topped off with sending a message via Morse code. 😂 9:07 H. G. Wells got the big flatscreen right. 32:48 I always got a kick out of the robots wearing hats. 😊 37:43 If only in the future they had invented pressurized cabins in aircraft. 48:12 The first “Beam me up Scotty” in a way. This was great fun. 👍🏻👍🏻
6:04 how do get above somebody in open space? microwave and xray cameras to see inside enemy ships lightyears away, but morse code is their only method of deep space communication?
Mom said she liked Buck Rogers better than Flash Gordon because Buck Rogers was more sensible in it's plot and characterizations. It was, actually, as can be observed by viewing comparison. It also featured a strong female lead squadron commander, where as Flash Gorden featured physically helpless females.

I've never seen or heard of this Kirkland brand Buck Rogers before. Interesting...
I love this!
It is I, Professor Exposition! 😅

Duck Dodgers is where it's at though 🦆🦆🦆
Ah, such a simplistic vision of the future. Now we'd elect Ming the Merciless president. 😂
Bidi-bidi-bidi hey Buck! Where's Wilma's hot spandex? Bidi-bidi-bidi xD
The Buck Rogers costumes are better than the ones in the Universal serial. The acting though....
Good stuff.
❤❤❤❤❤!
Now THIS is acting!
What a tragedy that the future didn’t turn out the way they promised us.
Well, interplanetary war is not something I mind missing out on...
Kinda sad the actors' names aren't in the credits for the 1935 Buck Rogers.
Yikes, I can see why they only made one episode of that early Buck Rogers thing. Pretty low effort. The later serial was way better.
farsical dross from the good 'ol US of
