- In today's video, I place a fish trap in the Walmart parking lot sewers to catch exotic cichlid fish for my new backyard pond! I ended up catching several African cichlids, including my FAVORITE catch yet!

Also, that was the nicest tilapia I've ever seen. That was actually a tank/pond worthy fish right there. Glad to see Bruiser is fine, I was worried that he would get eaten, because largemouths are known cannibals.

This fish had potential
The barred fish is another Victorian cichlid called a hap obliquidis(spelling is wrong of course). Green faced fish is green terror. Love the videos B, keep them coming!

He will kill everything on the pound be careful
They are but man the red devil I owned killed everything in my tank everything and all the fish in the tank were bigger than the red devil. Everything was feed well
I’ve owned many Orange-edged Rivulatus and not a single one of them has ever lived up to the name of Green Terror. They’ve always been the largest fish in my collection and every single one of them has been pretty chill (for a cichlid). They are by far my favourite South American!

Watching y'all catch aquarium fish git me inspired and I got me a tank 😁 wish I could pop down to Walmart to catch me some fish lol unfortunately live at the bottom of the world and it's abit cold here 😂
Make sure to do some research on how fishtanks work so u dont get disappointed.
There is lots of good info even on YT for beginners.
The aquarium coop YT channel for example has a decent amount of good info for beginners.
Also the main advice I can give is to be patient with whatever tank u decide to set up.

@@baum8981 I'd been watching a few different vids on fish keeping and made sure to cycle my tank first. Had it running 5 weeks before I got my first guppy last week. Oh and a snail lol. My guppy is pregnant so I figure that should keep me on my toes and see if I can keep them alive 😅 so good so far. Thanks for the recommend on the channel tho, I'm all about learning and not killing my fish. I'm attached to her already
I would love to see you do a video where you go back to the Walmart parking lot and put a fish trap in every single one of those drainage ditches and leave them for 24 hours

You should add a bunch of shells to the bottom and all around the sand . Then add some African shell dwellers would make the pond complete.

That Tilapia with hot pink fins was sharp. I know they're super invasive but hot pink could be a feature fish. Love the green terror

The New Cichlid/Invasive Pond Just Keeps Getting Better..It Will Be So Sick Once You Get A Couple Baby Clown Knifefish,, Some Midas,, Jack Demsey's & Some Flowerhorns In There,, Also Even Though They Are Common Where You Are,, A Small.School Of Jewels Would Look Great Too.

The one with the blueish specles might be a young geophagus brasiliensis
Or generally a geophagus species, but im not 100% on that
The striped one is another species of victoria chichlids i think.
Also nice OB u caught, the mouth looks different than any pictures of OBs ive ever seen.

Yeah that little green fish is a green acara/green terror cichlid, that striped one may be a color mutation of the normal African cichlids, I originally thought it was a yellow perch just from the patterning but it has the shape and head of a cichlid. I have no clue what it is. Great video though!

I *LOVE* the underwater camera footage. You should make a video that's just 10-20 minutes of your cichlid pond underwater from a few angles with some tropical house or lofi in the background. Would be excellent to relax and chill too.

Those tilapia would be fried and cooked in coconut milk in the country where one side of my family is from. With chilis and rice. And a side of buko pandan for dessert and ice cold pineapple juice. It's sad that they've become invasive in other countries. I wish they bred as much back there, they would be less expensive. Anywho, love your videos. Love your fishes. You keep them so well! 🥰🥰

The fish you released last and think looks a bit weird is a Blue Acara. Its a South American cichlid.
