- In today's video, I transfer ALL of my prized rare cichlids from my tank into the new backyard pond! 2 of my African cichlids also had babies which we extracted to put into the pond! Everything from frontosa, jack Dempsey, texas cichlid, jaguar cichlid, African cichlid, and countless others were stocked in the pond!

I really love your content!!! If you want to do a really planted tank, maybe try catching some cool tropical community fish from some small planted streams type areas. Kind of like some of the peaceful small and unique fish that you usually put in your koi pond when you don't know where to put them. This way they can play in the plants and you can create a nice and unique showcase.
Use the tank as a grow out for your ponds. It would even make a killer quarenteen tank that you can watch and make sure everything is doing well.
Just don't make the same mistake as all these other youtubers and put some heaters in your outdoor systems for the winter. You could even do something as simple as tank heaters in the filtration. Yes the heat could create a bloom, but if you keep it where it's used to, you shouldn't have problems

The more aggressive fish you moved from the tank to the pond may have been chill in the tank but moving them to a new environment upsets the established hierarchy amongst those fish and can cause them to become much more aggressive to the fish they now share space with. There's also the fact that they more than likely felt threatened by having you around the tank frequently which would also have worked to curtail aggression and now that they will be going into a space where you aren't as visible to them which can embolden them. I'm not trying to be harsh or criticize you I just worry the safety of your smaller fish and don't want to to have to suffer any losses because of the larger more aggressive species.
In other words, Cichlids.
@@themanfromcabowabo1559 yeah, the majority of the fish he moved were cichlids, but mostly I was worried about the jaguar and the jack dempsey. Both get large and aggressive.

@@themanfromcabowabo1559 yes, they are, and there are different species. Most of which are pretty chill with each other but there are species that won't hesitate to kill the others, such as the Jaguar cichlid and the jack dempsey.

Dang bro, I’m sorry for your loss. I had a goldfish who was over 9 years old and was over a foot long. I got him for my 6th birthday and he lived til I was 15 years old. I called him “Grapey” (Stupid name I know, but like I said I was 6) because he was the size of a grape when I got him and eventually we had to get the largest tank in the pet store just for him and I wish we had found a place we could’ve donated him to a place like Bobby’s koi pond because he eventually got to big for even that tank. He was a good fish and absolutely beautiful, it breaks my heart that we couldn’t provide him with all of his needs. I miss him and just wish we could’ve given him a better home. I haven’t gotten another goldfish since because after Grapey I realized how much care they really require.

In the 125 you should grow out some albino and melanstic and platinum monster fish and xantic if you can find

Totally agree completely planted tank would be amazing, if you can get a ton of (Chili Rasbora) that would be ideal with their bright red against the green. You can get some really interesting schooling behavior with them. it might even be cool to go with a complete color scheme with the addition of (Cherry Shrimp) but whatever you do I'm sure it will look awesome. take your aquarium . put it in the pond and flip it upside down . get the air out lift it up . you will have a great viewing tank
Would love to see your pond having live plants like water lilies, amazon swords or java ferns. As well as fast-growing water plants like Vallisneria and cryptocorynes. Even if the cichlids take a nip off those plants, it won't be a problem because they are hardy plants and can take a beating.
The good way to net fish.... use both hands. Have a net in one hand and then his your hand and use your hand to steer the fish into the net

Because the baby fish were on the top and Bobby said go down go down! I think after the baby’s won’t go down 😂 so Bobby said: “ the smart ones will survive”
I get the invasive species in Florida are a huge problem especially the iguana, pythons and wild boar I can only imagine the damage they're doing to the native species of Florida, with that being said it's wicked awesome you can find these cichlids in what seems like every creek or pond.
It's really cool. If you had the tanks to put them in you could make ok money catching and selling fish in Florida apparently

You should do a ton of plants like you said then you should put a ton of different type of tetras and really small fish like that
U should keep the jack dimsy in the 125 gallon
Plant it heavy with a plant substrate, lots of light like 3 watts per gallon, and stock with regular and gold rams. Add some julii cories and cardinal tetras. That would give you an active and colorful tank. Also add some drift wood and bristlenose plecos as your clean up crew.

South American tank: Angelfish,Apistogramma, German Rams or Bolivian Ram Pairs, schools of atleast 10 cardinal tetras, rummynose tetras, and serpae tetras, possibly even some diamond tetras or black skirt tetras. On the bottom some L numbered plecos or schools of cory cats such as Sterbai or Black Venezuelans. For plants massive Amazon swords some Crypts Anubias and a carpet of Dwarf Hairgrass. You can also go for pencil or hatchet fish on the surface!
