Chandan Bangar: I bought this same kit and like you received the DV8 aluminum inner fenders after I had completed the install of the Fender Delete. Here are the things I ran across: 1. The inner fender Rivit Nutserts are a smaller size then the M6 metric size the Fender Deletes came with. 2. I have to removed two of the Inner Fender Nutserts on each of the back inner fender and remove the original Nutserts on the Fender Delete to mount the back inner fenders and had to purchase/order New M6 Nutserts to complete. 3. On the front Inner Fenders I had to use Self Tap Screws (with predrilled hole) to mount the inner fenders and Could not reach the second screw that is higher up towards the driverside down low. I was only able to use 1 screw/nut to mount. 4. I had to Totally remove all Fender Deletes in order to mount the inner fenders Correctly. Basically all the mounting hardware is Useless DV8 sends especially the two large bolts for the front of the inner fenders as you Cannot Reach "inside the frame" on my jeep willys 2022 diesel. Love the look but DV8 needs to do some rethinking about their products and maybe a QR code for instruction or at least say Custom Install.
Yes to all of this. It wasn't simple and I agree it should be easier to install such a small part like fender deletes. The inner fenders made it tough so I'd highly suggest if you buy these deletes install the inner fenders simultaneously. Thanks!
Do you have a video on wiring the button turn signal or can you let me know what color wires were connected or not used?
don't have a video but here's the link to the wiring diagram: www.jlwranglerforums.com/JL-Wiring-Diagrams/LAMP-DRL-RIGHT-PREMIUM-connector-details.pdf
I finally got my DV8 Fender delete kit in and it is defective. The curve on the bottom goes out towards the blinker instead of in to match the Jeep. I am in the process of talking to DV8 of what to do now. Is there any way you could show us a video with the wiring also please and thank you.
Sorry to hear about your fenders. I don't have a video but here's the link to the wiring diagram: www.jlwranglerforums.com/JL-Wiring-Diagrams/LAMP-DRL-RIGHT-PREMIUM-connector-details.pdf
What happened to the 4 brackets that were connected to the body?
They have to be cut off with a grinder/cutting wheel
Did you had to cut the metal fender brackets for stock fenders
Yes I did
Would this be roughly the same thing for the 2020 JT Gladiator? Also would there be a way to keep the stock inner fenders after install of the delete kit?
Yeah, should be the same thing. You should be able to keep the stock inner fender. The only tough thing will be removing them with all the plastic clips and not breaking them. You can buy a cheap pack of replacement ones though. You will have to cut/grind 4 fender brackets that stick off the front fenders.
@@TheChandanBangar I use a box cutter and just cut the inner fender liners as they are a really thin plastic, in place its really easy. No need to remove them really. All you have to do when you remove the fender is the cut along the body line its really that simple I have owned multiple jeeps and learned this way. I really like your video BTW.
@@GoGrandpa Very true. Box cutter works magic too.
Yo what did you end up doing about the inner fender?
I ripped it out and put in a rough country front and rear inner fenders.
@@TheChandanBangar nice. You didn't have any problems. Some of the DV8 stuff just does not go on easy. Also the fender delete didn't even come with instructions tho 😂
@@co19391 I know what you mean. I bought mine used with no instructions either. I didn't run into any issues other than the hardware. The rivets aren't very friendly so I had to use some bolts and nuts instead. Turned out great though.
