      For that purpose I would use pork liver.

    Aye Keef, it might sound a bit fancy, but makin' yer own chicken liver paté’s nowt to fret about, love. Dead simple, it is. Plus, chicken livers don’t cost owt - proper bargain!     Made myself some chicken liver pate a few weeks back. People are still asking when I am going to do it again. Home made pate is brilliant.

    I make a very similar version with an additional pinch of mace.

    Definitely will be giving this a go. Although when you said it was a bit runny. Instead of reducing the mixture would it be a case of less double cream and brandy? I'm not good with recipes unless I have the exact amounts. Look delicious. Can't wait to give it a go. Also can it be frozen? Thank Keef :)

    I’ve made it before and is great, but always worried about how long it lasts under butter? Traditionally I suppose it would keep in a shallow pot with a lid over winter somewhere cool.

    I like old Jewish Grandma chopped chicken liver with eggs, you cook the livers in chicken fat and leave it in yum

    Nice, easy and cheap...
    I understand why the rooster did not sing the next day. He found out where his chicks had gone. Their livers transformed in pate. He ran away 😅

    I'm sure this is V good, but I prefer chopped liver-no cream, hard-boiled eggs, and chopped coarsely leaving nice little chunks of egg, liver, etc. :-)
