In an interview recorded during Comic Con Paris 2018, Summer recalls one of her first Hollywood auditions. She auditioned for the role of the Pink Power Ranger in one of the many iterations of the kung-fu giant robot teen series Power Rangers and was second choice for the role, but didn't get the role in the end (Jessica Rey was chosen). Instead she was cast as River Tam in Joss Whedon's Firefly, that premiered that same year in 2002.

If Summer got that role, who knows how many of her other great roles we never would have seen her in.
Shes amazing Im glad she got the part in the terminator series
Ever since day one that I have followed Summer Glau, every time I see her I can't help seeing a big similarity with Sigourney Weaver when she was younger. When the game ALIEN ISOLATION came out, in many ALIEN fan pages I suggested that if ALIEN ISOLATION was to be made into a Live Action film, whether a short film or a feature one, that Summer needed to play Amanda "Amy" Ripley, Ellen Ripley's daughter. I truly wish to see both Sigourney and Summer act together.
I heard about that. A shame she didn't get the part. But it worked as she auditioned and got a better role. River Tam in Firefly.
Oh, and she was perfect as River Tam. I still watch Firefly from time to time, and Serenity, the movie. Summer was and is awesome. :)
You mean White Ranger on PR Wild Force, not Pink haha
Yup I know some people miss understood that she was pink ,even though the suit had a little pink on it
