Rip Sam,he was a good father, grandfather, friend to Clark and John Henry, grandfather figure to Natalie and a fellow hero and member of team Superman. I will miss him as a character on this show and Dylan Walsh’s performance
I think when Clark does come back, he'll have limitations on himself. Superman will be able to come back, and this time, with the help of his family and friends, will defeat Doomsday, but will find that because of his new heart that he can't use his powers for too long or do anything at quite the level he used to be able to due to possessing an altered human heart instead of a perfect kryptonian one. He'll go into semi-retirement and mainly focus on the farm while occasionally helping his sons as they take on the mantle of Supermen. Edit: Man I totally called it. I don't think I've ever been this right in my predictions for a show before.
Yk I was wondering the same thing myself, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's what they do here. Although there is part of me that hopes that won't be the case as I feel like it would be disappointing, but than again if you give a Kryptonian a human heart there are bound to be some kind of consequences that goes along with that, but I guess we will see what happens
In Kryptonians dna and ograns are totally different from humans so technically getting human heart would never work but... to bring him back with limitations would be even worse
I think the mention of Lane using some of Superman’s blood in his heart seems to suggest that his heart has been altered to adopt to the requirements for a Kryptonian. I don’t like to criticize the concepts of shows in general, and I do understand the symbolism when Lane said that he would be there “for every beat;” however, it just seems that it would make more sense to defeat Doonsday somehow and take his heart, unless his heart was altered with all its transformations.
I don't think he'll ever get back to full power , him being superman and having his heart was the reason he was the strongest kryptonian and even lasted as long as he did with doomsday . If he has a human heart he'll be very weak and most likely unlike last season cannot do a sun dip since even normal kryptonians like Tal could not
Him having a kryptonian heart didn’t make him stronger than other kryptonian’s with kryptonian hearts. That makes no sense. As long as the heart is beating and pumping blood, he is fine. The heart is inside his body and protected by his body.
I disagree with the notion that he should or will be limited. We've seen humans in the show take the super drug and basically be superman. They had normal hearts too
Couldn’t have said it better myself. If Superman & Lois (the producers) wanted to run it for 7 seasons then they should have done it that way, not cancel after 4, far out even Supergirl ran for 6 seasons!

Anyone else notice it’s a regular heartbeat and not the “three” beats he used to have- her concerns are probably that he won’t have the same power he used to 🤔
Yeah, I thought that was pretty awful. The entire speech, I was waiting for him to mention his other daughter and he never did. I wonder if it's meant to be a parallel for Lois clearly favoring Jon over Jordan.
I think he’ll have the same powers, but will now become mortal and will die when the human heart fails. Means he & Louis will live a natural lifespan together
It's great that he gave Superman his heart. But are you sure because no offense, but Lois Lane's father was an old man. How can Superman work with the heart? of an old person
I never realized how much they equate supes to jesus. He "rises" again. Remember way back when the whole "supes can't tell a lie" thing they used to do but they stopped using that line. So manyy similarities.
So this is how Superman is brought back & solves the problem of the missing heart. This is going to be a really good episode, & just like I read, canceling it is a mistake. Plus, can't wait to see Brainiac that the show runners said will be in this season.
Sam, the general that started saying that he could not trust anyone as Clark does, for the safety of all, ends up trusting with his very core to the best one of us, so he can save everyone, one more time, and keep having faith, and hope on us. In a way, Sam ended up trusting that the world would be fine in our hands, that theres still hope for humanity, for all of us. Lets not make himself down.
I knew he would come back hahaha and everytime he does come back he's stronger then before so this time he will be able to withstand doomsday and heal up faster and be hell lot more tougher
Careful! I remember what happened last time Superman was resurrected! We saw it with Doomsday! I believed he would return because you can't kill such an icon as Superman when there are so many episodes left. His powers will slowly fade until he gets to live a human lifespan. But that's a good thing as he'll only have to live a few years without Lois instead of around 300 years!
This season has been dark so far, though it was needed. The mention of Brainiac always meant they were going to bring superman back early, but they have handled the death of superman story so well. A sacrifice to actually bring superman back keeps the stakes high. Interested on how he actually beats doomsday this time, maybe this time they do it as a family or dying and coming back would make him stronger just like Lex did to Doomsday but then there's the issue of having a human heart if they choose to go with it. Interesting times

Maybe he will come back as kingdom come superman.Research on kingdom come superman if you don't know who he is
So guess Sam didn’t wanna include Lucy in his goodbye message like he has 2 daughters 😂
He may have had another one for her
I think the show forgot about her
@@Justwatching746Agreed maybe that
😂 didn’t even think of that
Yeah, I thought that was pretty awful. The entire speech, I was waiting for him to mention his other daughter and he never did. I wonder if it's meant to be a parallel for Lois clearly favoring Jon over Jordan.
Yeaaaaah Superman is back 😮🥳
Damn shame how sam went out but at least he brought back Superman for his daughter I guess.
Wau Superman is the best.
I think he’ll have the same powers, but will now become mortal and will die when the human heart fails. Means he & Louis will live a natural lifespan together
Has it ever been mentioned in the show that he doesn't age normally?
@@kathrynhoward4196 I can’t recall it being mentioned, I always just assumed he was immortal!
Superman should be godlike, not a lame mortal being.
I can imagine Lois loved and loathed her fathers for doing this decision. She understands it was out of love, but to leave her like that is angering.
Why. Why are you don't this to me? I still love it. ❤️💙❤️💙
Oh yeah ho yeah he's back he's alive SUPERMAN IS HERE
This season the best one yet!!!
Man i hate cw for cancelling this masterpiece of a show
Superman with a literal human heart. Poetic.
"Oh and Lucy too."
That hit hard
It's great that he gave Superman his heart. But are you sure because no offense, but Lois Lane's father was an old man. How can Superman work with the heart? of an old person
Sounds like he injected himself with some sort of super soldier sirum?
@@alexakaa.charlesross8919he injected his heart with Superman’s blood
@@Justwatching746 but will be enough for him to come back to life and kill doomsday and stop luther
Giving a human heart make him alive, but weak.
*This time superman must use every ability every power every sundip to obliterate doomsday 'even his atoms must be destroyed into oblivion*
so a human heart in side a kryptonian.....so hes going to be alot weaker unless some modifications fixed that weakness
The way they made this show is the stuff of legend.
Such a good actor!!! Great scene!!!
Zoom : family always your weakness
This season has been dark so far, though it was needed. The mention of Brainiac always meant they were going to bring superman back early, but they have handled the death of superman story so well. A sacrifice to actually bring superman back keeps the stakes high. Interested on how he actually beats doomsday this time, maybe this time they do it as a family or dying and coming back would make him stronger just like Lex did to Doomsday but then there's the issue of having a human heart if they choose to go with it. Interesting times
Superman Returns From The Dead
Never watch this show but god damn in tearing up
John Henry Irons entered the show to kill Superman and is now desperately trying to save his life 4 seasons later.
