More recent delays are due to Apple (surprise there 😂) dragging it's feet on security across the networks in someway.

The Android "Save Parking" is a setting. I've noticed that many people mistakenly/unknowingly disable it when setting up the device or through a one-off action.
I realized this because my phone asked me multiple times, which I declined. Then the day I needed it, it wasn't there. And after a few months I went through the settings and found it was disabled.

6:20 Its INCREDIBLY frustrating to constantly hear the lawsuit be taken out of context like this to make it seem like an overdramatic misstep. The reason why the EU opened up the app store was because of Apple actively participating in anti-competitive behavior, while neglecting to create any solution to tackle it (P.S. that DOES NOT equate to Apple being required to discontinue or make any of the technologies they've already created unavailable to their users). Why it would be the same case in regards to a niche feature, such as your phone being located with the help of your smart speaker, especially when there are already protocols and avenues available for third parties to implement that, but hardly any consumer demand at the moment, is beyond me.

No, because Samsung has had it for years as well, it's just vanilla Android only getting it now and even the last year's delay was caused by waiting for Apple to implement the counter-stalking measures. Buuut, if gloating is what floats your boat, just go ahead, we can endure some of it.

For every one person who decides to turn this off, I'm willing to bet thousands won't touch what Google sets as the default, making it far from pointless to have a use case of your own. Its just basic app development logic to assume that the network won't be completely wrangled by this.
