I recommend running a strip of battery powered LED lights around the lid of the case. I do it with all of my protector cases. Makes it easy to identify contents when your using it backstage or outdoors at night. Also 100% effective at giving everyone else case envy.
If anyone is looking for a budget friendly option, I recommend the Magellan Pro gear boxes
I haven't tried those, they look pretty cool though!
@@LastLineOfDefense they aren't roto molded but seem tough enough for the price for sure.
Where are they made?
nanuk cases as well
Just not myself a gear box. Hart from Walmart 16 bucks
Milwaukee Packouts. Infinitely adjustable to what you need, they have a cooler and a radio option as well. The drawers make it so you can access almost everything readily. Perfect for this type of solution.
I use 2 of the 50 gal. Husky tool bins for all my camp gear. They’re super durable and much more cost effective.
Just ordered mine and really excited to use this for RV camping and tent camping. Thank you for the very useful walk through of the product and ideas you threw out for the use.
Another good alternative is the Coho Pack n Carry Box. Has built in organizers too, used to be at Costco if you can still find it
Great Video… It fits my Revel & my needs to camp. I pulled DA trigger..
Thanks for the info.
Dave
Some great ideas in this video. Just heard your interview on Casual Peppers and really enjoyed it.
I actually got the Plano bin for Christmas to create my own camping bin finally!
Also, the mini propane refiller thing- I watched Wranglerstar test one out on his channel and he was only able to get the disposable bottles filled halfway; and the larger tank had to be upside down during transfer. Hopefully yours will be more efficient.
Freeze your small canister first you’ll almost fill it after that
I've had a cheap Plano box for 10 years. Works great. I don't plan on letting it tumble down a mountain!
💥 BOOM - 1 bag snag n go - always great vids my man
Scored, TX 80 Green for my Army Green Tacoma Overlander, Thanks for the discount.
Rigid tool cases work great
I would like to see ur weapon setup and all the drones you got. Maybe give us ideas on weapon safes or setups
Green? Orange was your fav color I thought. I love orange.
I use a 108qt Plano trunk for my stuff. Would definitely love a Pelican, but I use my budget towards other gear.
Hey, I love your video. All the time. Nice. Kimchi power !
The Taco will always be my favorite. I definitely wouldn't say the build isn't crazy; bumpers, diamondback cover, tires and rims, bed rack, ikamper rooftop tent, dual swing tailgate, just for starters lol. A well built overland tank imo
Love the video and seriously love how you make content. Much respect.
Been using the Roam cases for all of my gear, this Pelican looks to have more useable space though
This box looks awesome. Love the verticle height. might be time to upgrade from the plano's!
$8 Costco bin with the yellow top. I use two for all our camping equipment that will fit inside. I have a family of 5 and it works for us. They stack and have slits perfect for ratchets. Ratcheted down next to the cab and my dog beds in front. 🤙
Those are certainly the best value bins around, I have about a dozen of em!
Can you do a comparison video between the adventure and overland cases
Sounds like a hardsided Bugout Bag! LOL
Dude that’s a sweet hat! Who makes it? Promise I came here for the actual camping box set up…
That’s the nicest jacket I’ve ever seen 😂. What jacket is that good sir?
llod.us/kuhl It's the Arktik
Good video, a little hard to see inside the case when you point out stuff, great content.
Should do some videos on what you do for prepping for the wee one. There's not a lot of content related to prepping with kids.
Thank you so much for everything you do! 😀
250? That’s insanely expensive. I’d rather get the Magellan cases for a third the price.
Like he said not for everyone and other budget options for you to use instead of getting what he gets.
@@cheyannelane6411 don’t mine me, I’m just too poor to afford the good stuff. lol
It’s one of his sponsors. He’s a salesman for them. Good product though
Then get the Magellan. It's a pelican case...they are all pricey but it's quality stuff.
Apache Cases from Harbor Freight or something from Lowe's. I personally use an old ice chest to put my smaller recovery eq in.
I have to do this. I usually forget at. Least one thing. And I waste too much time wondering around the garage grabbing camp items.
Aye Kalispell 🤘
The 7 plate is what caught my eye
Love your jacket! Where can I pick one up?
I recently did this except with all my hunting gear
What was that orange strap you used at the end?
Conceptualizing your concept is conceptually fairly easy.
Great video Mike ! Ur the reason I got into camping when I found ur channel back in 2019 ! Great stuff 👍🏾
For Christmas, my in laws got me a Gas One stove. Excited to try it next trip, just need to find where to mount the propane tank on the truck. Getting out there is more important than gear in my opinion.
What’s with the Montana plates???
Got a link on that coat? That thing is bad ass.
Ranger green and the earth brown are the 2 best colors
De qué marca es la chaqueta que llevas puesta?
is that a Montana plate?
I almost like this more than my yeti load out 60
bro that jacket is sick!! what model is it and do you have an affiliate for it!?
llod.us/kuhl It's the Arktik
I'm glad you mentioned the ford Maverick i am looking at getting a tremor...
great video as always Mike! very helpful!
I bet the house is behind the camera. Mike I bet you like just being able to drive a 50 feet and seem like you’re in the wilderness. That is my goal to have a Homesteadin the mountains.
Always love your videos brother and I have plenty of Pelican cases that I use. I worked in construction management for 5 years and got shipped all over the place about every 9-12 months. Hating both cardboard boxes and moving for obvious reasons, I went kinda nuts and snagged about 15 (no shit) Plano Sportsmans wheeled trunks for $14/per at Academy Sports when they were running some specials. I think the model is discontinued now but these served me extremely well - especially considering the cost. I even put bedliner on the outside of a few of them, as an experiment, to strengthen them up and it actually worked. Put cheap weatherstripping round the inside edge of the lid and they've stayed watertight on thousands of miles on the interstate in the back of the truck where they nest together and strap down easily. wanted to play with Molle panels on inside and outside but that's a project for another day. I didn't and don't expect them to last forever but I've only ever lost 1 to failure that was my fault - it was full of MRE's and I dropped it hard on a corner and the corner cracked. No fault of the trunk ;)
...Having given praise to the cheap Plano boxes that served their purpose well, I put my expensive kit (reloading, shooters, comms, ammo, tech) in big Pelican rollers that better protects them. I still put bulky stuff bedding, lanterns, chairs, etc - in the Plano trunks.
Have a Plano trunk against the front of the truck bed that has a pro eagle jack, chains, straps, bungees, tarp, compressor, battery jumper, recovery, tools, jetboil, MRE's, etc held in place by a bed divider under a Mountain Top retractable cover. This setup works well for now.
Another good option that others have mentioned is the big construction/tool boxes but they can be so big, once they're full, can be super heavy to move around.
Love to see you covering more diverse content. I agree - I wouldn't watch if you were doing the same thing you were a few years ago. Good shit. keep it coming.
Hey Mike, you look good in that hat.. maybe you should make one similar
LLOD video.!
It is true
Did you move recently? I noticed the Montana license plate.
Standard roll of paper towels. ( with like 3 left ) haha
Haha when a home roll starts getting low, it can become a camping bin roll
When you said "all your stuff in one box" all i could think of was Backpacking. But i really do like this plan. It is along the lines of the chuckboxes we would make when i was in scouts. I do most of mine in Rubbermaid bins with clear sides so we can find things. Admittedly I have too much junk and use a few tubs but when i have it sorted things are easy to just go. Thanks for the great video.
The video I was waiting for!! Haha I have your other box set up now I’ll be switching to this!!
Why you got montana plates when you live in Colorado?
What jacket is that you're wearing?
It's a Kuhl Arktik
Mike is so smart. He is like a father to me
Peak > MountainHouse then? Will need to try them.
Peak is the best bagged food for sure. Pay a little more, but the bags are a little bigger also.
what kind of bungee is that?
Montana?
You leave at 3 in the afternoon, eat dinner out there, sleep and go home in the morning, sometimes without breakfast even. Don't need much "gear" for that!
Sure don’t
The cobbler is an amazing dessert 🥧
You had me at brain fart!
You got rid of the Plano ?! 😮
Great video. Had a question, what jacket are you wearing? It looks awesome!
llod.us/kuhl It's the Arktik
Montana
If you had to bug out, which one of your vehicles would you take and why??
Potentially the Tundra, primarily because it can fit the most stuff. Maybe eventually the F550 bus once it’s built…
Make sense when considering family also.
8 minutes before we even get into the box
Well, that's why there are chapters so you can skip to it🤷♂️
I'm a simple man, I see vehicle tax evasion, I hit like.
I do what I can
I was one of the ones watching you 8 or whatever years ago. The way you have progressed and grown is absolutely amazing! Very happy to see your success! Keep it up Mike!
Please make the list in your Amazon page. One specifically for one box camping. It would be so much easier to get to everything
Ive been camping for 27 years, since i was 5 and i dont understand why anyone needs 6 camp stoves 7 storage boxes, entire kitchen shelves. Youre basically living at home. One camp box, one stove, a camp fire, first aid, emergency toools for trail repair, one cooler, sleeping bag. Ready in 10 minutes and i dont have to plan an entire vacation followed by a divorce. But to each their own
I’m not sure if you’re in agreement with this one bin, or if you’re trying to condemn it, haha
My only suggestion is to keep Any Consumables in one place\bag\box - its very easy to Assume things like Spices, dry Drink Mixes, even Lighters are "good" until a few trips down the line and you find your out or the items has Degraded. Keep All consumables segregated, and every trip bring it in evaluate and restock... or atleast check it on a schedule like first aid kits. I set a Calendar reminder ever 3 months to Check the Charge on my Battery Jumper and First Aid kit in my car, could do the same with Consumables in a Tote like that.
For that price I’ll take the Magellan 92L over this all day.
Dog, enough on the box. What's that jacket?
llod.us/kuhl It's the Arktik
Have you ever stopped and thought camping is just a test for a real bug out?
Yup, haha. Have done several videos on the topic as well as comparing an “overland” rig to a “bugout” rig
■■■...Montana plates?
I’d say that’s at least six inches of height on top of the pelican case. 😂
I like that you always emphasize you’d rather use bear spray than a gun. Too many people go into a bear’s home and their first line of defense is a gun, which doesn’t even work as well as spray.
Montana plates? thats confusing lol
Taxes and lower emission standards.
And one extra layer of privacy
@@LastLineOfDefense might have to look into that for our van too!
I was thinking Flathead county plates? But it’s never sunny here during the winter definitely no blue bird day like Colorado
Damn. Didn’t even notice! I was focused on the box and cool ass jacket! Lol
Day 1 of asking for more new metal barn video updates and also day 1 of asking for a weekenderlander overnight in the barn… that’d be hilarious
Consumerism is getting out of hand. You almost got me to watch a review video of a box.
Peepeepoopoo
Exactly
Man this was eloquent and well said! It sums up our times precisely.
You are a poet and philosopher.
I use Costco’s $8.00 container.
Works!
@@LastLineOfDefense I got to thinking, I made two plywood “camping boxes” maybe 35 years ago and still use them. But, my Jeep just fits the yellow topped Costco black containers better. I also found bugs can’t climb the plastic easily. Like the attachment concept. Maybe I’ll see ya around.
so you're saying it IS okay to put all your eggs in one basket...
Not sure why anyone would buy a pelicans case when there are multiple cheaper options. It’s a freakin box that holds crap.
I'm guessing probably same reason that there are cheap and expensive versions of every single product on the planet, and people buying cheap, medium, and high quality everythings?
Really wanna jump on the AG1 bandwagon, but nearly $1000 a year for one person is a lot of money for many. I supoose you could skip a day or 2 here and there to stretch out the supply.
Save your money and eat a balanced diet. It just a supplement and heavily marketed. Do your own research of course. Plenty of study’s on ag1 because of there bold marketing.
@zachgregory1289 that was the other red flag. Almost every podcast I listen to or UA-cam channel I watch advertises AG1 or Raycon earbuds 🤣. Usually both.
I have to admit that the first few times I watched your channel, I didn’t like it.
All of your reviews/videos included only expensive high end gear. I generally prefer to watch reviews that offer some median priced equipment in conjunction with the high end.
Then I came across one of your videos where you quite honestly said “I prefer high end equipment, I just believe it’s better”. You sold me on that honesty and genuineness.
At any rate, I’d love to see a video from you about truck bed storage systems like ‘Decked’.
i save space because i do not drink coffee
Ok I’m sorry but here I am at 6 + minutes and you still aren’t to the product. I’m tapping out!
Or you could… get this… look at the chapters that show the exact timestamps for every single part of the video?
Everything this guy promotes is expensive as hell! He doesn’t care though, cause he gets it all for free
I use and show the use of plenty of cheap crap, medium gear, and medium high end gear. Very rarely do I show/use/own what most people would consider high to very high end gear though. Earlier days of my channel I actually use to show and use the absolute highest end gear, but I’ve backed it off a bit, for you.
News flash, good stuff is expensive. Buy once cry once is a thing for a reason. He actually says that in the video.
@@westvirginiaminer3046 News flash, NOT always true. So you think that if it's expensive then it has to be good... That's laughable! I've bought brand name stuff and still ended up being crap. It's the name you're paying for! I know cause I'm old enough to know better.
For that price it should be waterproof, what a waste
That's only if you're single. My girlfriend is not impressed with this one. For single people only. but great still like one backpack 🎒 with most 90% because I can't get my fishing 🎣 stuff and I need a seat my back no good.
Unfortunately I liked you when you did real reviews on gear. Once you’re sponsored it’s not real reviews, now you just have to be a pitchman for their gear.
What part wasn’t real?
RICH people CAMPing 🏕 😂😂😂
