I hit a deer with my Ioniq 5 back on july 17th. I got a call from the bodyshop that it should be FINALY ready today or tomorrow dec 15th. They didn't charge it or anything during that time, it just sat outside. I really hope the battery will be ok. The mechanic said he took it out for a test drive today, and said that the battery dropped 8% in the short time he drove it. I hope it was just on sport mode... They have it at another shop getting the battery "re-calibrated".. hope that works. love your videos.
Wow, I also hope that is sport mode. My Nissan LEAF really drops in battery in the cold. I don't know if that is an issue where you are at or with the Ioniq. Best of luck with it! Thanks for watching!
@@pluginreport7304 I didn't say this in my original comment as it feels negative. Hopefully this doesn't come across negative. I noticed you waited around say 1-2 hours before coming back down the volcano. I was wondering if perhaps some of what looked like charging from regenerative braking was perhaps a result of battery relaxation. I have an electric bike and when the battery is nearly flat I stop using the power. Then sometime later when I check the battery has relaxed and there can be quite some charge left. So my idea for you is to deplete the battery under a degree of stress and then leave the car over night and see what the charge reads the next day. It may be the electronics in the Nissan caters for battery relaxation and it makes no difference. This might be an idea for a video. My second thing I want to share is I use a web app I wrote to see how long until I start making money on UA-cam. For me it's about 1.5 years until I reach the 1,000 subscribers. I already have the 4,000 hours watch time. Can I hang in that long! Anyway I don't like posting links so if it interests you I've added a link on my About page. Hope it helps in some way.
