Latin Samba Drum Solo Using Amazing Sounding Slingerland Drums Big Band Style

- When I do a concert with my Ken Loomer Big Band, I like to play many styles of music. This is one of the all time great latin samba songs "Brazil" composed by Ary Barrous. I get to do a samba drum solo using my amazing sounding 1970 vintage Slingerland drums. With the wide open tuning of these Slingerland drums, you can hear how well the sound of each drum projects with no mic`s. I`m using a lot of my advance drum technique I have learned like the fast single left hand, and of course the off beat patterns used in latin samba music. In this excellent Big Band arrangement of Brazil, I drive the band with a hard latin samba beat to support my fellow excellent musicians. I love to do these type of new Big Band arrangements of classic famous songs that are so exciting to hear.

When I play the timbales in a all latin band, of course I have the cowbells which I play all the time for that music.
