Thanks for watching glad they are working for you! Any questions or things you think we should show just let us know. Also keep in mind we do sell all of the consumables and all orders over $50 ship for free
watching your videos I decided to buy this machine and the truth is a great machine. beautiful in every way. this machine in Argentina costs 2600 usd, but it is worth the investment. greetings from Argentina
Don't own a Esab, but I'm glad someone finally explained how the smart mig works. At first it took me awhile to trust that my machines knew what they were doing and to realize that a little fine tuning never hurts.
Man Just when I decided on the miller You guys are killing me lol they are both awesome machines. how about a Miller vs Esab mig showdown and a tig showdown?
They are both great machines! The sMIG on the ESAB is truly not comparable to the Auto-Set on the Miller. As you seen in the video when in sMIG the machine actually adapts to the changing conditions. We will see if we can do a show down one of these days!
Srrry I bought the 215 and used the smart mig feature and mine had major problems I’ve been welding for 5 years I’m no beginner 2 ny certification in stick I returned and went with Lincoln 260 mig machine big boy My machine when welding would start off fine but at the end of the weld the esab machine would get gradually hot and hotter to the pointe. We’re wire was barely shooting wire out coming out I took it to service they couldn’t find anything but every time I used smart mig didt work just use Manuel mode
Sorry you had a bad experience. Not sure if it was returned through us or another distributor but one beauty of the ESAB is that 100 day 100% satisfaction guarantee. I can tell you if you had bought the Power MIG 210 from Lincoln they would not let you return it after it was used to upgrade. Glad you are liking the 260!
Thanks for watching we appreciate it! So it really comes down to what you are using it for. Are you wanting to TIG weld aluminum? What is the thickest material you will be welding? Are you wanting to be portable? What kind of power do you have available? Based on those questions we will make a recommendation!
Baker's Gas we will never TIG. We may weld up to ⅜’s or ½” from time to time. We can wire 240 volt single phase but from time to time will run off a generator.
Yes Austin, good point we did not go into the advanced / manual mode in this video. You can turn sMIG off and adjust everything as you would on any other MIG machine.
Pedro Duque what do you mean by “hard to found the contact tips”? Do you mean “find”, as in buy? If so, type ESAB it Tweco Velocity tips in eBay, or somewhere.
We stock all of of the consumables for the Rebels. So we have the contact tips, nozzles, ESAB wire, ect. if you place an order for $50 or more it will ship for free.
Love esab 215ic just baught 2 weeks ago and 10000 watt gen set for mobile service truck work awesome. Weld like butter.
Thanks for watching glad they are working for you! Any questions or things you think we should show just let us know. Also keep in mind we do sell all of the consumables and all orders over $50 ship for free
How is it running off the generator? I'm waiting on my 215ic emp and will be buying a 10000w gen also
Is that really enough? Don't have issues welding at the top end of the machine (Tig, Stick, or flux)
Love these rebels, I bought the Rebel EMP 235ic and it's a beast.
Thanks for watching!! Yes 235 is sweet!
Hola amigo. ¿Cuánto tiempo llevas con tu máquina y te ha dado algún problema?
Le das uso industrial o de hobbie?
How’s the rebel still holding up

Awesome Martin thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching! Any videos you want to see let us know and we will try to make it happen!
@@BakersGas Im considering one of these 215 or 235 or fronius 2200 what would be the big difference between these three?
Is there a firmware upgrade with these rebels? And if so, how would that be implemented?
Great video
Thank you for watching Jim!

Are you running ESAB’s Aristorod in this video?
Love your videos! Why should I not buy the 285 over the 205 or 215?

Do t buy an EMP machine then. Buy the EM machine. That doesn’t TIG.
@@melgross yes the MIG only is a great machine too. One thing to keep in mind though is you lose the digital screen with the EM version.
Wow que máquina muy buena presentación
So technically it's like Lincoln electric's stt2 process so what I'm trying to get at is it's like a surface tension set up
Can wfs still be adjusted numerically on esab machines as well and the metal thickness?
Austin Galea yes. You can still run in manual mode that allows you to adjust voltage and wfs.

Does smig work with fluxcore? I just received the em235 from you guys but hadn't used it yet
Yes!
I don't know if you already answered this question or not, but you said all esab units. Does this apply to the 400i and the 500i units as well? 🤔
All ESAB rebel machines have the sMIG feature. So the Rebel 205, 215, 235 and 285.
@@BakersGas Thank you...😊
Today I received my EMP 215ic the only problem I found is really hard to found the contact tips

@@melgross dont buy on ebay! haha you buy them from us we stock all genuine Tweco tips and nozzles and orders of $50 or more ship for free.
Aren’t you on eBay? Most of the big dealers are.
@@melgross Try to avoid buying from Ebay/Amazon if you can typically they take fees. You are best to go direct to a distributor if you can! :)
