    Awesome video!
    Question: if I’m in the US, but prefer the settings that come with PAL - can I just go ahead and choose that option? Are the file types different (regionally specific?) or is it a .MOV regardless of which choice you make? Just want to make sure I’m not setting myself up for any major technical issues in terms of accessing or editing the material.

      Hi, the camera will only shoot .mov files. Looking on google, it suggests that iPhone video format is also .mov. However, there is no easy way to transfer your videos from your camera to your phone. This is because the wifi option will only transfer still images, not videos. you could try loading a canon app called Canon Eos Utility. However, the easiest way might be to transfer it to a computer using a USB and then emailing to your phone. I hope that helps..

      Hi, The remote transfer only works for still images, not for video. The only way to transfer video from the camera to a mobile phone is via email, or something like dropbox. But i think you will have to go via a laptop or desktop computer.

      take a look at this page hk.canon/en/support/8202595100 Canon produce software called Canon Utility which allows you to shoot video and download video with your mobile device. However the device needs to be physically connected to the device, via the USB connection. You will need to download the software and make sure the wifi setting on the camera is switched off.

    • @NikonD5200Channel
      @NikonD5200Channel  3 роки тому

      I think the thing to remember is that this is a stills camera that shoots video, not a video camera. That said, you can get some excellent video from this camera. Firstly I would try to get the right settings to get a decent depth of filed - so if you have the kit lens, open it to 18mm, run the shutter speed at 1/125th sec for a 50/60fps frame rate, and then put the ISO to 1600. Then focus the camera as you would when talking to it and see what the aperture is. Ideally it should be around f8. If so, then you should be able to hold up the product close to your face and it will be sharp. this will involve a little trial and error, but it is doable..

    • @NikonD5200Channel
      @NikonD5200Channel  2 роки тому

      there are two limiters to shooting video with DSLR cameras - file size and shooting time. File size is limited to 4gb, so if you shoot full HD, then you will hit that size at about 12 minutes. If you shoot at 720, you will have longer, but there is not getting around that file size limit. Of course you can press record again and it will shoot another 12 minutes..

    • @NikonD5200Channel
      @NikonD5200Channel  4 роки тому +1

      Hello, ok, if you are recording at best - 1920 x 1080, then you will be restricted to 11mins recording time in one go (4GB max). So, to test your camera, turn the size and frame rate down to 640 and see if it will record for longer. If it still has problems, the issue could be the memory card - it should be a class 10 SDXC or SDHC card. please lt me know if this helps..

Alternatively use the cable you should have received with the camera to connect the camera to your computer and drag them across.

      The camera will not shoot video with the WiFi or NFC connection. It will only shoot stills with these. However, there is a way to shoot video remotely. download eos utility 3 from the Canon website ( go to products, services and Apps and then put in the name of the camera). It have versions for Macs or PCs and will detect the suitable version for you.
      Once downloaded, connect the camera to the computer via the USB lead you got with the camera. Make sure the camera WiFi is disabled. start up the software on the computer and then switch the camera on. the software should detect the camera. choose remote shooting and you will be able to use the computer to fully control the camera, including shooting video. Of course, you may want to get a longer USB lead, but it works very well.

    Canon eos 2000d microphone issue could be solved by installing a mic jack into camera by a qualified technician.

      I am not sure that that would be possible. TBH if it is that important, you should think about investing in a different Canon DSLR, the EOS 800D, 760D, 750D, 700D, 650D, 600D, 550D, for example...

      @@NikonD5200Channel I just installed a external microphone jack into my Canon 2000D and I was satisfied with the test. Still waiting for my microphone to have a proper test but so far it's working fine

      @@dmrpak well i didnt know you could do that very easily. I would be interested to hear the sound. Is it all still in the same camera casing, or is the Mic attached to the camera?

      @@NikonD5200Channelno the techican dismantal the remote jack and install a mic jack there. So there is hardly any cosmetic alteration to the body. Plus camera eternal microphone is also working. Plz do send me your email or whatsup so I could send you a short movie. To me it's working fine.

      I bought it assuming I could plug a lav mic in. Got a refund. Now I'm torn between the 250d and the M50. What is your opinion?
