I did this a couple of years ago with my 9 yo niece. I used alcohol inks. She had a blast trying out all kinds of stuff. I didnt know I could do this with acrylic paints, so now I have to try this again. TY
All your tutorials are so clear and without any irrelevant info, I am impressed and learned so much from you already. Thank you very much! The coptic stitching tutorial is fantastic!
Miss Jenifer you really do have a suiting, calming and relaxing voice. I love your videos so much. You inspired me to write the way I do and adore it you also inspired me to make and write on or in a bullet journal.
We did this in art class all the time! ❤️ But what we did was: Step 1: Pour shaving cream on table. Step 2: Add food coloring and mix gently (if you just mix it all together it will make one color). Step 3: Take some regular or thick paper and press on the shaving cream. Step 4: Remove paper and scrape left over cream off with a ruler. Step 5: Let it air dry and it's ready to go home next art class! We all did three pages, so there were three different tables with different colors, and we just added some more coloring when it started to mix! This is a way more simple way to do it, but the way you did it seemed a lot more efficient! Definitely one of my most favorite art projects to do 😋
What age were u when ur school taught u this and which country were u in? Im just curious becos im 11 and next year im 12 (now is school holidays, school starts next year) but my school has not taught me this. Pls ans ty (im not gonna stalk u, no worries!)😂
@Bethany Stocker - thanks so much! I want to do a large piece and don't have a container large enough to hold the shaving cream. I'll try laying down sheets of wax paper on my kitchen island. If it seems I do need some sort of border at the edges perhaps I can form a large shallow container out of aluminum foil?
Hi, Thankyou I just bought several cans of shaving foam this morning for this. You told us everything you need to get started .. I'm about to after this comment :)) Also I once saw a video using this technique, she used something like a cookie cutter in the shape of a circle & must have left a very thin layer of the shaving cream on there & when it dried it was all shiny. Looked awesome, great for card making & scrapbooking ... if anyone knows of this video PLEASE tell me. Much thanks for this very informative tutorial :))
That is too cool, I am just starting to get the stuff that I need to make some small books & my wife wants me to use this to make a book cover for her lol. There are thousands of project ideas going through my head since I saw this thank you so much, now all I need is a book to write all the ideas down ;P lol once again thank you.
I've done this before except I used unscented shaving cream due to sensitive skin. As well as using one color and I kept reusing the cream and adding more of the same color. The results were amazing. It look like green marbling with several shades of green.
You are AMAZING!!! I love all of your tutorials. all of your tutorials are very detailed yet simple and clear! I love all of your DIYs and your voice!!
Thank you so much for this video! My daughter and I used this technique years ago but I couldn't remember how we had done it. We did it on playing cards.
In 6th grade our science teacher did this with everyone, using food coloring :). Each kid had a piece of paper and once we were done, we glued them onto our science journals and wrote our names on them with permanent marker. Everyone loved it and thought it was so cool.
THANKS for this awesome tutorial...the varieties you showed were lovely. I used this technique with my GRANDsons to decorate Ester eggs this year which yielded beautiful results PLUS the process was great fun! =D
This is great! Could you do a tutorial on composition notebooks? They're not sold in England but I really want a customised one. Keep up the amazing tutorials, I have a go at every one that I can!
i really miss your book making videos. i hope you keep in making diff kinds of book tutorials. thats the reason why i subscribed in your channels. pls pls :(
Jessica Cindy More bookmaking videos are on the way ;) I like to work on a variety projects, but I try to fit in something book related at least once a month. If you haven't already, check out my playlist to see all my book videos - bit.ly/BookProjects
Man, I have not done that in a few years. I used to do that quite a bit with my art therapist. I should seriously come over to her place again and do that with her sometime.
I'm going to try this to make my own marbled headpages for book binding, instead of paying $15-20 per sheet... and if it doesn't work, the total outlay will probably still be less than a single sheet so no big loss :)
Wow I'm very impressed, she took a kids craft and put a modern "adult" twist to it!
Love your tutorials. I came for the book making information and stayed for all the other beautiful, fun techniques!
Me too! I love Jennifer's tutorials - nice and easy to follow. Thanks Jennifer

I've done this successfully with liquid water colors, alcohol inks, and food coloring. Awesome results every time.

Thanks for showing it with dark colored paper!!!!!
great tutorials! Your directions are clear and you are well-spoken. Thank you!
Do you think that a galaxy pattern could be achieved using black paper and the appropriate colours?
Ooo! That could work, and you could flick the stars on top after you wipe the shaving cream off. If you try it, I'd love to see a pic!
O hh, I want to see that too.
@@geminiwonder867 I don't think so
Oh I think I will do this on some fabric and make it into a galaxy mousepad! Thanks for the vid this is super cool!

Beautiful. I also want to use it in my journals or as covers for my journals. Love the pink, red, gold combination. Thanks for the vid.
I also never let it sit, even with plain card stock. The shaving cream makes cleanup extra easy.
