I actually thought you may be nuts!!! LOL That is absolutely AMAZING!!! I can't wait to try it!!! Thank you for sharing that. A like and Subscribe for you. Stay safe,God Bless🙏
Great idea. Did you save what was left? i would assume it would keep for a bit. If not, I'd likely use a bunch of veg tan scraps and just prep them for future projects. Fabs, coasters, lanyards, etc. Thanks for sharing.
As someone who does many different crafts, I find that tools often cross over. So, though I'm still really new to leatherworking, I have some thoughts that might be helpful. Rather than the popsicle stick, get an angled spatula like they use for cake decorating. It'll get your fingers up out of icing ... I mean, shaving cream, and help with getting it really smooth. Not that you need to get it icing smooth, but it would certainly reduce the amount of time you spend going back over it. You can also easily wash it and reuse it. For dripping the dye, I feel like a condiment bottle would be a great option for giving you a little more control over the placement of the dye as well as minimizing how much is dripping down the side of the bottle. In addition, it seems to me that the condiment bottle or, as you mentioned, a dropper would not just help with control, but you could get it a little more precise. Using smaller spatters and a pallet knife for the swirling might give you more detail in the small projects like that. I have to order some other colors before I can try this, but I can't wait!
really cool! happy to add this to the bag of tricks. Thank you!

John Malkovich is such a multi-talented man! No offence meant, by the way...JM has one of the coolest voices ever! 😀

Very cool idea. I have a knife that I want to make a new sheath for.
Which is the best die to use,, water-based dye or alcohol
I have had no I’ll effects with either. I have used alcohol more often… but have not noticed a difference with either type.
Gratzi
as long as its the cream or foam and not the gel it seems to work the same
holy smokes, that's brilliant!!!
