Just an FYI, it is waaaaaay cheaper to make your own shakes at home. And you can make them just as good as any cafe/shop with just a bit of ice.
That’s true but I think it’s good to prioritize something you really enjoy sometimes. Especially in his case when he is working so hard constantly I think it’s a nice bit of self care to have something positive to look forward to. And for that it’s worth the cost. Even if the shake itself could be done cheaper, the joy from getting it it worth the extra money. Especially since he is willing to cut in other areas.
Saw this coming bro. Take some time off. I told you the real fans will still be here. Go take a social media break. Money comes and goes bro. Mental health is more important than content.
Stoicism is an excellent framework. For me the main thing is that it helps me feel confident that I can handle anything.
Feel for you Brandon, being super stressed is not a good feeling and nothing is more exhausting than that. I appreciate watching your vlogs because I am going through the grind myself. Working two part-time jobs while going back to school full time as a mom and wife is not easy to say the least, along with the stress of constantly feeling like you want to do better just likes to hang over you all the time. Take time to focus on you for sure, but also remember that you have people rooting for you and are working to help you achieve your goals. That's what community is all about! Everything will happen the way it is supposed to, you’ve put in the work, just keep grinding at a pace that allows you to stay healthy. Thank you for being raw. You see so many people who make it seem like it’s a piece of cake and this is the raw honest reality of it and I respect that honesty and showing what it’s really like.
I've never owned a business or anything like that but I really feel the stress you're going through right now.
Just know that you're not alone and that it will get better. Life can be stressful but it shows that you really care about the business and your employees.
Do what you need to do for yourself and the business will be fine.

Just don’t forget sometimes we all need a break to take care our mental health. And it’s okay to do so.
I appreciate you so much. That said, I’m gonna pull the older sibling card and tell you to take a break, lol. Stoicism also leaves room for rest and gentleness. Even if it’s just a week of half days, give your head a break. If you gorge your body, you get sick because you can’t metabolize fast enough. Same thing with thought. Keep going, but don’t forget to take care of yourself along the way.
"It ain't easy, but it IS worth it." You're investing the most in yourself and your future right now. One day, you won't have to work as hard to make it flow. Treat yourself to a day off every now and then though, it helps.
I also have a side business unrelated to pokemon, and I had the same thing happen in the last year where it grew really fast which required large expenses and now I'm trying to catch up with all the debt that accrued because income is decent but not super high so have to slow spending way down and focus on paying off that debt

Dude you have every right to vent about how much of your life and time gets taken away from your content and business. Take a break from social media for a little while and if you’re uncomfortable leaving them unoccupied find a trusted friend or worker to takeover for a short term. All of us real fans will stick around for your arrival back and you’ll easily gain back what you’ve lost.

$15/shake is insane. Get some high quality whey protein (brands- animal, ghost, bpi, myprotein, cellucor). Around $30 for 25-30 servings. Mix with milk and then you’re set. They have crazy flavors now like fruity cereal milk, chips ahoy, Oreos, etc

I remember back to your video about the comment of creating UA-cam videos as having a super large profit margin. Just brainstorming here since you have great on screen talent with your employees. Have you thought about having them also film UA-cam content for Mystic Rips (or another Pokemon card centric UA-cam channel) to create more revenue for the business? They might also enjoy the opportunity to learn and grow as UA-cam content creators in that way. Could be fun!

Just gotta remember to take time out for yourself away from the camera. Make sure you take your "me time" to rebalance and re-energize yourself. For the workplace, keep it light and do activities outside the office with the crew if possible. Hopefully something not work related just to change up everyone's brain for a bit.

Try not to stress you'll give yourself gray hair. I was 21 when i found my first one. If it wasn't for the rest of your employees I would say relocate to another state. I know this is hard and probs don’t make sense. But if you look through the trajectory of Pokémon and card collecting, it had a massive boost from Logan Paul and others. Maybe try change up ur approach and sponsor bigger creators (I know it would be hard with budget) but could be something to think about and a different approach. Maybe if someone is bringing new face into rips more sales may come from it ? Maybe idk.. I don’t own a business, just trying to help x

Not hating but everyone going through rn economy sucks in order to make a living is crazy but in order to travel around the world and vacation that don't happen for regular working people especially owning your own businesses. Unless your business booms and instant success which is rare. Happends ever so often.
