I heard this as part of how to grow a UA-cam channel, but I think it applies: don’t compare your beginning to someone else’s middle.
You don’t know how long it took for other businesses to get to where they are, or what they’re going through internally. You’re doing so much more than most people out there by even having a business.
Warren Buffet is quoted as saying “you can do anything, but you can’t do everything.” So in that vein, I’d take some time to look at the business, decide your own goals and where you want it to be, and focus on the steps to get you where you want to be. Everyone’s journey is different.
Also: don’t start saying “what’s wrong with me” and internalizing. If you’re doing your best, and you’ve done all you can do, it does no good to worry.

As someone who also used to love this job I can PERFECTLY relate to EVERY SINGLE POINT of this video. There’s not a week that goes by where I don’t tell my wife I just wanna sell the company because it’s not healthy. I’m working on the same stuff as you- there’s fun stuff for sure but lately it’s been stressful more than anything

Remember the industry you're in first and foremost. Its okay to be hyper competitive but also allow the natural positivity and energy that pokemon itself generates to permeate through the business as well. Everything you do and say translates through the rest of your company and to your viewers especially. Just have more fun overall. More fun with your employees, more fun with your business, more fun with yourself and especially more fun with pokemon. Thats what its all about. It should never be "I have to" it should be "I get to", change your outlook and the world will transform from black & white to color.
The dangers of social media. You can NEVER be comparing yourself to others like that. Everyone is on their own path and has their own situations. You’re absolutely crushing it and don’t let negative feelings tell you otherwise ❤💪

I’m sorry you’ve been feeling the self destructive thoughts more. I can completely understand how you feel since I feel the same way about myself a lot. I think the best thing to think about is there are harder days than others but you’re unique in your own way and there’s a reason you’re here doing what you love. There will be a time when everything works out and you’ll hit where you want to be, but it takes time, so don’t stress too much(it’s important to take care of yourself). Also to remember there are so many people who appreciate you as a person, friend, creator, and family for you being you.
Yo Brandon. With my business I’ve gone thru this and sometimes go thru it again. Literally the best advice I can give you is you need to look at yourself in the mirror and LOCK TF IN!!
Big point you brought up. Comparison can be the thief of joy or it can be motivation. All about being in the right headspace and framing it properly. Can be difficult to balance it though. Often best to just set SMART goals and compare yourself to past you. Always be moving forward towards your goals.
This is kinda of a negative take from my end to you. What I can suggest is always think about the silver lining. This may work for you or it may not. Just remember, you have a dream job and business which is UA-cam and Pokémon. Now on top of that, you have a family, friends and employees. Car, place, money. You don’t deal face to face with fast food customers. You’re rich, you have money. This is what I always do if I ever feel down. I also put myself in a warzone and think that I could be in a much worse situation. Usually this helps and keeps me going. Could help you could not lol.
You remind me of a plane that is trying to fly straight up. When you try to climb to fast you will start slowing down until your engine stalls out and you start to plummet. You have to learn to slow climb and enjoy the journey along the way. They didn't get to that level over night and you shouldn't expect to either. We all love you here and appreciate your willingness to open up and share your thoughts and feelings with us. Be encouraged and just know that what is ment to be WILL be.❤ It is all in Gods perfect timing whether we realize it right then or not.
Brandon, what I’ve learned from these vlogs that the other channels couldn’t really let us see, is that you’re a good human being. Keep listening to that voice in your head; hustle when it’s time, and let it all flow when it’s time. You’ve got the drive to be successful, and the compassion that is needed to succeed. Hang in there. You’ve got this. I hope New York brings you all the opportunities you’re looking for, but I hope it also brings you and Syd a well deserved rest, too.

No need to compare yourself to others. Your only competition is yourself and achieving your goals. Keep your head up and the strong work you are doing! You are a first-time business owner and I believe you are doing great at navigating a competitive market and learning at the same time! Remember swimming upstream gives you strong arms.

Run your own race if it’s one thing I learned we all move are own pace it may be hard and not easy at times comparing one’s self is always a hard bean to swallow and it just makes us back track your doing amazing keep up your own pace of work brother your team is there for you all of you are great. Loving these videos for sure and its refreshing. As another streamer and not performing well, it's often difficult to think what I'm doing wrong and comparing myself. Now I kinda do things my way cause in the end that is what makes streaming more enjoyable for me and not tanking my mental health.

I don’t have a business so i can’t tell you what’s right and what’s wrong but what I do know is that you’re doing great. Right now you’re reflecting and seeing how well everything is going which is good but you gotta remember that everything comes in time.
I love these videso even though I can't relate to businessy stuff - I admire your desire to refine everything but from an outsiders perspective it looks like you are going to overwork/burn out if you keep trying to take on more and more but I reckon you can pull it off. Its crazy how you are able to do this on only 4-5 hours sleep, mad lad!
But dont forget this. Growing too fast can also destroy a company. As dificult as it is, try to find the piece with maybe not being as big as you wish to be. If you just keep going itll come one day.
its nice to know someone who is more successful than me in what i want to do in future that often shows alot more emotion normally super successful people act all amazing and happy in the camera and hide emotions and behind camera cry and stay depressed the fact you talk about this in your videos is a good thing and i believe you will do well and i will watch all of your videos as i enjoy watching vlogs as i want to belike you when im older 15 right now..

I haven't seen this video completely but I am a day one vlogger with you and I can see at least you do this too often where you supposedly take inspiration from other you tubers to better your own channel but truthfully man, you've been at this for 8 years, you're fine, if people like me that come from your mystic 7 channel to here... It just means you're doing something at least right. Don't ridicule the work you do just because it may not be as good as others, you're an amazing person Brandon, truthfully, it's amazing you've managed at least to build this much of a community with just your bombastic personality. What laptop do you use for work? Just curious? (: I’m in the future getting a laptop for editing videos as well so I may grab the same you have.
Well whatnot doesnt have a huge base of people, but its a super cool platform my problem with it is that the shipping to Canada is kind of outrageous at times. Live stream/auction sites may be something huge though you could be sitting on massive potential even if you break even over the next couple of years, I'd try to desensitize yourself from the financial aspect potentially in the same aspects that a gambler might and think of the upside youre providing to Tom, The Coreys, Jake and Genie. Maybe you'll discover something else along the way aswell, but nonetheless everyone heres rooting for you guys!

Comparison is tricky. Beating yourself up is not good. For perspective, I don't think anyone in the general Pokemon space that you might be comparing yourself with is doing multiple businesses like you are though. Who else is doing both Pokemon Go and TCG like you are? You are trying to do both at the same time and that's a lot of work.

Control what you can let go of stuff you can’t control. Conpairing yourself is normal but keep doing what your doing keep gridding maybe reach out to poke rev for advice also also have faith in your team as they want it to work just as much as u I feel your overthinking stuff your doing well :)
Its not bad to check for reference where your competitors are, however you will not stand out trying to mimic what works well for other companies. Instead you need to experiment and collect data on what works well with your brand and hone in on the key notes that you find make you stand out more on a better day as opposed to a general day. Once you get that honed in to increase your general days to be the quality of your better days every day, rinse repeat. Once you see consistency in increasing positive trends with that, then check in if you want to, but it'd be best to run polls with your clientele to see where you are and what you can do better.

Please don't beat yourself up for the main Mystic7 channel because it is based on Pokemon Go and right now it is in the worst shape since 2019 (when I returned to the game). In the past 2 weeks or so I have broken my daily catch/spin streak at least 4 to 5 times if not more. I forgot to log in during the stardust spotlight hour and I didn't even bother about it. If you get time please do a Clash video with TH 16, Clash is so much better than Go right now. I love Mystic7 but I also miss Witelightninghwd.
JT Valor pokemon go channel is good because he is extremely consistent with the videos almost everyday but your mystic 7 channel is great just need to be a little more consistent bro
You know what... if you feel your thoughts are not healthy maybe you should seek professional help.. it might help you find the tools need to focus better and not go the negative thoughts route... talking to a stranger always helps
A buddy of mine once told me this but that you stay in your own lane and others will do the same but also Practice what you preach but preach what you practice. On top of this in the religion world that Christ went to suffer on the cross knowing what was to be expected but he did it because he loved the father. Why I bring this point is that what your going through is what Christ has gone through. You have people that work for you and utilize and make them more efficient but don't burn labor hours.
