November 20th 1982 up by Millinocket, first time ever hunting, first time ever shooting a gun, 30 min in shot a 9 point dressed out at 204. Biggest Bucks in Maine Club member on day 1. I'll never forget that day. I hope you are as fortunate.
"hunker down". I love that guy. Hope he's doing well these days. 😊
And we just keep plugging away don't we. You gotta love it.
Thanks for the update !! It will happen for you hopefully!!
Hey Danielle, here’s a tip to quiet down your sling swivels.
Look for the O-rings not the expensive ones that go into liquid and hydraulic applications but the ones you find in the fastener aisle at the hardware store.
Take your thing with you, and find one that fits barely over the sling swivel post. When you mount your swivel to the stud on your rifle, you’ll notice that it’s really tight but you can make it work. I’ve been doing this for years. I started during turkey hunting. now all my sling swivel posts have O-rings on them.
Hope you guys have a great Thanksgiving.
I love hunting in fresh snow . Don't get much in here in Alabama .
Happy Thanksgiving to you.
Thanks for the video. Have a great Thanksgiving.
Got to love the wind on a cold day. Looks like we are in the same boat so far. I haven't seen a deer this year during the day yet. That's Hunting, right? Can't get one every year in Maine. We shall see, still have muzzleloader season as well. My Brother Just shot one today. He tracked it for 1.5 hours up in KI. He is on his way home with it now. I hope to have it and the story in my next video. God Bless! Maine North Woods Hunter (Shane)
Heyyyyyy D....Looked like a good hunt and day!! Dont U worry none....theres a corker out there with your name on him!! Love to see U smilin in the deer woods! Bless U and the family and puppers!!
A mouse sneeze. I always heard that It was soooo quiet that you could hear a mouse fart at the alter at church!
LOL good one!
I hunted Monday evening in VA. I shot a buck on Saturday. In the county where I hunt, there is the "Earn a buck" program. You shoot your first buck of any size with antler above the hair line and that OK. BUT... Before you bag second buck, you have to fill a doe tag. Then the second buck has to have 4 points or more on one side. What did I see? A spike within 10 yards of me. Then a 3 pointer within 15 yards of me. And just before last light, an 8-pointer walked by! So...
I was hunting does and nothing but bucks walked by! God certainly does have a sense of humor! Because the Devil was trying to tempt me!!
Just got back from yearly jackman family hunt trip. Tween 8 of us we saw barely anything. Only got 2 partridge this trip, only saw 1 moose (typically well all see dozen) couple ducks, did see about 6 doe but none of us got tags for em up that way. Only person to see a buck was me. Small 4pt. Tried to get on him but the only chance I had at a shot was an absolutely horrible one (so I passed) and when I tried cutting him off I found out he tucked into the camps and he snuck out somehow. Oh well.
Certainly looks like a beautiful morning to be hunting
😍😍😍😍
👍

I am 31. Glad you enjoy the videos.
What kind of tree were you leaning against, the one with all those knots or bumps all over it ?
Beech
Your style of hunting is similiar to mine, I assume you don't like sitting like me, i just can't sit for hours.
Beautiful state Maine. I’m going to assume you never caught a bear, or did I miss that video?
What happened to the fields and stands you used to hunt? Seems your in darker woods and heavier timber.
That area is our fields and food plots at home and surrounding woods area. Our oldest son Jack has been sitting out in the blind and stand in the afternoons/evenings so I let him have those spots.
@@MaineGirlOutdoors that’s awesome always give youngsters and elders the best chance. I had my 76yr old Dad hunt spot I figured was just a matter of time for a payoff. He shot a 198lb 7pt last week and was over the moon about it. Get the new hunters a deer to keep them interested and let the older generation shoot deer as they have limited numbers of hunts left in them!!!! Good Luck!!!!
You must’ve gotten your 3” today
We did! But I was cooking and cleaning, getting ready for Thanksgiving lol.
6.5 prc?
6.5 Creedmoor
Good try.
Please tell me you aren’t with that guy.. you are way too pretty for him!
Curious to know how much success she has walking around and chasing tracks? Seems pointless...someone help this girl. She is cool but I feel like she is wasting her time...
Have you ever deer hunted in northern Maine? I’ve gone years and not even seen a deer while sitting in a tree stand. Better to track and cover more ground.
@80thdiv313fa never hunted in Northern Maine...however pretty sure you could change locations ...maybe sit by a watering hole or corn pile?
@@KW-R1guyhahaha baiting in ME is illegal in any way. In most of ME there’s little to no agriculture. Tracking deer is #1 way for success in north country. Deer population hovers around 1-3 deer per square mile a water is literally everywhere. Even highly accomplished hunters do well to shoot there buck yearly in these woods. While tracking deer it’s very normal to follow a buck for 6-10 miles in a day and going 15 miles isn’t unusual. If you have a killer spot to sit in a stand in northern ME you may sit all season to see 3-4 deer and hope one has legal sized antlers which means 3in long. It’s one of the toughest environments you can hunt deer in North America. Highly satisfying when you are successful!!! She’s doin what she needs to with the small amount of time she spends in woods she just needs a little luck!!!
@pathfinder5804 wow that seems really hard...hope she gets lucky! If not come to NC... little laxed here ...
@@pathfinder5804 well said!
