Great format, limited narration, indigenous wildlife, natural audio, great captions, excellent photography, superior editing. Thank you so much for sharing. Oh, love your SKS. (Russia’s equivalent to the 30-30) lol. Please do more like this. You are the Ken Burns of outdoor woodsman photography. I’m in Northern NH, your welcomed visit and hunt my property.
Hunter trying to be stealthy slowly walking around... sounds like somebody banging pots and pans together to the deer ha ha ha. Best to find a good location and make a stand and be patient unless you can see for 500 yards and have a rifle that can shoot that far.... enjoyed the vid thanks.
Nice video. My only advice, and take it for what it’s worth from a 40 year NH hunter, is never sit out in the open. Always sit or stand behind a tree or some sort of cover so the deer don’t see you. An old timer told me that years ago and the older I get (I’m 52 now) the more I agree with him. They spot your movements long before you see or hear them. If you’re behind something that increases the odds in your favor. Good luck hunting this season. Ps, I hunt with a Ruger mini 30 which also shoots 7.62x39. Not sure what ammo you use but I’ve found Tula 154 grain soft points to be highly effective. I’ve also seen and heard good things about PPU Rifleline soft points which are brass cased ammo. Probably gonna try that stuff this year.
I’ve got the same hat! I also grabbed the camo one they had as well. I’ve got a family home in sebago and we just vacation there in the summer. Awesome vid make a trip to nantucket to hunt and I’ll make it a lot more eventful for ya
I've heard that SKS's don't tend to stay zeroed, but I haven't had any issues. Sighted this one in last fall to 100 yds and it has stayed on point... so far.
I literally have tried commenting 10 times on what an amazing system this is and UA-cam takes my comment down every time. Censorship is ridiculous. I've just been trying to say I got one this year with this system and y t won't even let me LOL let's see if this one is taken down as well
My father shot a Buck with his SKS years ago it was looking at him and and all he could see was it’s neck and face, he shot it rite in the throat, needles to say that’s all he wrote!😂
That's how I got my Maine deer last year too. Poked his head over a rock and saw me and shot in the head. Went straight down. Not a big fan of headshots though. Too much room for error there.
@@sweetsunnyvibes what…. I hope you look smarter than you sound! How in the heck does hunting have anything to do with school shootings, you’re obviously a leftist moron that knows nothing about guns. People that are raised to hunt are the most responsible firearm owners there are, so again you sound like a complete idiot!
As a young man age 13-28 I wouldn’t wear orange if you paid me to, but after a few hunting accidents here in VT pretty close to me I started wearing a blaze orange vest and hat, I guess when I was younger I didn’t want anyone seeing me, but now I’m not willing to chance it, not everyone out there is as careful as I am, I now have a 12 year old boy who hunts with me, and I won’t let him hunt without an orange vest, and hat, Safety first
Yes, my backpack had an orange cover for it, but I lost it. Tried making do with the secondary orange vest I carry, but it didn't work out great. Definitely getting another for it though.

I've actually been thinking about possibly going to Nantucket to deer hunt. I'll definitely message you if I decide to!
Good luck keeping that scope zeroed!

How did you modify your magazine to 5 rounds? I'm looking at options for doing this to take my sks out next season. Thanks.
You can buy fixed mags that only hold 5 rounds online.
Man you ar a 👍👍👍
FYI, all mineral and supplemental feeding must stop and be cleaned up by June 1st in Maine. Don't want you getting into trouble.
Thank you. It's 2 weeks before the season here in MA. Had Maine's mixed up with down here.

UA-cam moderators are blue haired leftist bootyholes.

Pleasantly uneventful!
That's deer hunting in Maine for ya. Haha
How did you mount the scope on it
The gun came with a scope mount when I bought it.
Please wear you're hunter orange over the back pack, just want you to stay safe. With respect Andrew.

Thank's to you. I wear alot of hunter orange when I'm squirrel hunting, private, or public. Only birds can see it,but the humans can. Andrew.
