Here's something to make you smile....your magnet saved my garden today! We had a large aspen tree topple over due to weather, but luckily it landed precariously on top of another tree that is on the edge of my garden. I was so worried I was going to lose my garden and all the hard work I put into it! Well here comes the Bondi Nugget Magnet and grappling hook to save the day. I was able to use that and the 65 feet of line, fling it up hook it around the tree and get the tree to fall sideways instead of on top of my garden. Thanks Bondi Magnets! Who knew that the magnet and grappling hook would serve a completely different purpose!

Plus all those square nails! Aren't you worried about syringes? Please stick to magnet fishing or scooping with a net! 🙏❤ Suggestion: Maybe you could find some sort of rigid mesh net with big holes, but not so big that coins wouldn't get caugbt. It'd slice through the mud easier than a thread mesh net.

my mate did this a couple months ago on a building site. his solution to the pain of walking was to cut a square out of the sole of a shoe so hobbling around at home was much more comfortable. good luck mate

Leigh, your disaster was cutting your foot my was taking out the new Bondi Gold magnet I recently bought just to show it to my mate. I lifted the box containing the magnet and set it on the floor of my van with the side door open. I took the magnet out from the box turned to show it to my mate and it shot, not out of my hand but took me with it as well and stuck to the van. I was shocked by the power of it, my mate laughed his bollocks off (Think I can say that), it took some going to remove the magnet off of the Van but not without damage. I know you always warn of the magnet strength but that's feckin hard core. I can't wait to magnet fish and I'm gonna need an extra pair of pulling arms with me.

I could feel that pain, it made my toes curl. I was water skiing once and while I was waiting on the boat to turn around I found a shallow spot I could just barely stand on and sliced the bottom of my foot open on something. I know that pain well. I ended up having to get several stitches, and walking was so painful. Be careful and definitely get better shoes.
P.S. I hope you recover quickly. Thank you for the environmental work you and your friends do. It’s sickening of what people dump in waterways. However the historical knowledge of the items you recover are priceless.

@BondiTreasureHunter Never mind inner soles, wear a heavy pair of work boots over your neoprene socks. It's not like you need to swim, you're walking about on the bottom, so think of the old school deep diver with heavy lead boots & either use an old pair of work boots, or a cheap pair with a thick sole you can designate for canal diving like this, but avoid steel toe caps unless you want to walk about the canal with small magnets on your toes to see what c you can collect with your feet!😂
