Some definitely COOL and VINTAGE Toys. Great little vid to reminisce. Some obscure lines as well. Funny, I remember my brother have a Tonga, but had no idea until I saw you vid today that he came from the Brave Star Line. I always wondered where he got him from. However, I CAN NOT believe you missed - A-TEAM, BUCK ROGERS & Battlestar Galactica, Micronauts, Tonka Steel Warriors, Zoids D&D and a few others. Easily a TOP 50+ What were you thinking? LOL. Enough playful chastising. It was fun to go down Memory Road and all the Fantastic Stories and Great times we all had with those toys. Thanks
Good list. Brought back some memories. I'd say my top 10 (ok 11) list would be as follows: 1. GI Joe 2. Star Wars 3. Transformers 4. Masters of the Universe 5. Super Powers 6. Thundercats 7. Visionaries 8. COPS 9. Silverhawks 10. Battle Beasts 11. Spiral Zone
I finally had time to watch this. Great List, Mike. I'm very impressed. Scary, I remember all these toy lines. Each line you showed took me back to the stores I saw them in. Good times. Sadly most of those stores no longer exist. Also, being an only child helps to get you lots of toys, lol.
I Am late getting around to watching this. Mike thank you so much for compaling all this information without it .I simply wouldn’t know that these toy lines exist. Going to go watch an episode of mask!
Ahhhhhh Big Mike...this was really😃 awesome interesting,&agree witcha on so many lines🤛You also showed me some lines I didn't know existed, babyboy u lit this🗒 up🔥🔥🔥🎶u dropped the bomb on me,💣baby💥
Blackstar? Slow and steady clap 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 of appreciation. We need a Super 7 version of John, Overlord , Vizier, Mara, Klone and a crap ton of Lava Locs..stat!! 😂 Thank you for this Mike..it's like therapy 🙏🏿
Great list. A few I'd drop in Dungeons&Dragons, Micronauts, Zoids, StarCom, and Manglors. Still a very respectable top 40! Edit: and the Warlord toys. Not as iconic as Heman, but infinitely better built imo.
Had quite a bit of this stuff still got some left that I didn’t know what it was from things I’ve never heard of. There’s a lot of stuff I had but had no idea what happened to it still have some bits and pieces and had no idea what it came off but recognise it on this video.
in the 80s I used to love Zoids and had a big collection until my little brother decided to take them all apart while I was at school - I was heartbroken.
In 1980 empire destroyed all the other toy lines because there were no other toylines that were memorable. It wasn't until Reagans de-regulation that the flood gates opened up and everyone overtook star wars starting in 1982.
Not being a Star Wars fan, I had no idea what was number one if it wasn't Transformers. For a second there I thought you going to say Playmobil. I was, like, do you not like fun?
OK….I guess that’s your take. 🤪 1. GI Joe 2. MOTU - we played the heck out of them. 3. Star Wars. Lots of lines I hadn’t heard of cool too see. Missing a few too I would add (M-Force) - a not too expensive MOTU/Joe/Rambo mash up w/ tons of accessories. The Crystar comic was about the best short lived comic ever, and the toys were really cool too.
@@tydiriumhanger1320 in some ways go-Bots (or robo machine as they were known here in ireland) were better than transformers... If they had proper marketing behind them such as a decent cartoon and a comic book behind them the line would have been more successful.. And yes the cartoon that we got wasn't all that bad but it could have been better.
Anyone here have Bone Age toys? (don't laugh) As a kid who loved dinosaurs I liked them a lot, still have most of them. I don't know anyone else that has ever heard of them.
Aww no LJN wrestling superstars :( Big hunks of rubber but as a kid you didn't care. We beat the hell out of those things and had a blast! And they were unbreakable. Great list though transformers are my #1
As a kid i would have killed for a voltron. Missed out that year they all sold out. I did have a 3 foot remote control voltron tho, as an adult collector i have 10 VOLTRONS and i dont have the Panash place on purpose because it does look so goofy and awkward.
I only liked transformers but at 1 times if I went with other things I got my top 5 would be 5- gobots 4- he-man 3- starcom 2- star wars and 1 transformers
Mike gotta disagree with putting STAR WARS 1st. The 5POA instantly became obsolete when G.I.JOE came around. I never picked up another Star Wars figure after 1983. I wouldve put Transformers FIRST, G.I.JOE Second, Star Wars 3rd, M.A.S.K. 4th.
I am an AVID MP transfomers collector, but i will be the first to admit G1 transfomers didn't deserve to be on this list, the re-purposing of a half dozen toy lines is just sloppy. ROBOTECH gerwalkers and HEADLESS DIACLONES didn't do our heroes justice. Every other line on this list might have shared molds, but they at least scaled to their own toy lines.
Top 40??!!?? Okay, I admit, I jumped to near the end once I had a top five in my mind and am surprised some of these lines were ahead of Heman/MOTU, okay, I guess it's time to rewind and see how low you had that line.
I have a love hate relationship with MOTU and sold it all off years ago for many reasons but build being the main issue. Origins revived the line for me and seems the same for many
@@o_oo_o1812 Tmnt was fun but Playmates came out with these after Gijoe and many other lines with real articulation and gave us 5 poa squat poses. Neca is fixing that though

So many great choice to pick!
in the 80s I used to love Zoids and had a big collection until my little brother decided to take them all apart while I was at school - I was heartbroken.
Those look cool and seem to have mechanical mechanisms
Zoids were fun. One of the lines I remember Dad getting into a bit with me lol.
@@tydiriumhanger1320 Zoids is another 1 that should have been on the list..
Some of those I completely forgot about, but like most kids I had a little of most of them. But damn I loved gijoe growing up.

Classic Space Lego, like Kenner Star Wars, began in the late 70s but hit its stride in the 80s. That's got to be at least in the top 3 for me.
Not being a Star Wars fan, I had no idea what was number one if it wasn't Transformers. For a second there I thought you going to say Playmobil. I was, like, do you not like fun?
I had a Sectar and didn't even know it! Could never for the life of me remember what it was because the box got thrown away immediately.

Yep the top 5 seem to flip flop around glad you enjoyed
No hate on Star Wars the mythos was great, but I didn't enjoy the figures much. I'd take a Joe over a SW toy any day.
@@tydiriumhanger1320 ironic you mentioned casey casem seeing as he voiced some of the characters from some of these lines.

Top 40 " Vinnie's " dude damn near érr thang from the 80s was n iz on hella point
Every person has their own fave '80s toyline, mine's all about japanese and american robots while my sister's collection of Bugs Bunny dolls
It sure is hard to beat all of those great bots from the 80s

Transformers is 1#
I agree 👍🏻👍🏻♥️💯!
It is a constant struggle for me between SW and TF while Hasbro is pushing be back to TF every week
HARD AGREE! All others are #2 or higher.

No Rocklords!!!

Travesty of Justice! Such an under appreciated line.
