When Oleta opens her mouth I automatically shut mine. It feels like nothing is more important than letting her sing her song.
Such a great song by Tears For Fears. underrated band imo.
For sure. Saw them perform at William & Mary University in Va in 1990 thereabouts what a great band.
Roland has one of the most underrated voices and is paired so perfectly with Oleta's here. Please look at Pale Shelter from their first album
the whole album is an absolute masterpiece!
Beautiful Tears for Fears song! So glad they performed this song when I finally saw them in concert last year. They sounded great and their new album is great too.
What woman sang?
Every song they have produced is an issue they take very seriously. Social Commentary.
Don't waste the opportunity to make a positive, lasting impression on those that hear their music. Tears For Fears has the highest Respect for the content of their musical talents and the points they make in their songs.
Rare is it to find a video that matches the excellence of a great song. This is one of them. Another gem from this album is 'Advice For the Young at Heart'.
Such a great band and such a beautiful song. Thanks for reacting to it.
Thanks for covering this epic man
Mad World is another great song from them and Gary Jules did a cover of that song and it's very nice
I’ve always loved this tune
Magnificent songwriting and vocal performance to match, very dramatic interpretation just about as perfect as it gets. Loving your reactions JM.
Now, how about a dance break with Prince, and his "Delirious"🎶⁉ I vote yes👍
I highly recommend the hit song “Get Here” by Oleta Adams. Pronounced o-LEE-ta. She has a strong voice that conveys a lot of emotion. This is a great song by 3 powerful singers.
Jmboy check out Bad Man's Song. I feel as a long time Tears For Fears fan its one of their best songs. I'm 62 so I know all their stuff. Oleta Adams also knocks it out the park vocally!!!!!
it's amazing. the whole album is perfection

Tears for Fears still baby
"If You guys Have Any Suggestions".... I always smile thinking.... I only have around 500 more Classic Rock tunes coming your way.
TFF was already talking abt toxic relationship 30 years ago! 🥰
Personal experiance from Roland and maybe Curt as well. Rolands father was abusive to his mother I believe.
Nice review. Try Advice For The Young At Heart which has Curt on lead vocal, he's the guy who sang Everybody Wants To Rule The World, or Sowing The Seeds Of Love which has Roland on lead vocal, the guy who sings Woman In Chains.
Great reaction! Thank you for letting the music marinate & then comment on it. BTW, you have a beautiful smile! Have a great day!
Phil Collins playing drums on this track
Happy mondays Hallelujah oakenfold mix
O-lee-tah Adams!!!
Nice listening to this great music with ya! You remind me when I was younger...good music, bad home life.
Well JM, we sent you to Boston and to Kansas and you liked the music you discovered there, Pack Your Bags, it's about time you take another journey into another of Classic Rock's most legendary bands.....find this version.... Chicago - 25 or 6 to 4 - 7/21/1970 - Tanglewood (Official)

It's both about abusive relationships and also about toxic masculinity, men not being allowed to express their softer sides.
It’s about his mother who was a stripper and his father being controlling.
@@joanntrustfull1484 Most TFF songs have more than one meaning. Roland said in an interview once that the song was also about men not being allowed to be in touch with their softer sides.
I can't point you to the interview. I saw it around the time the song was released.
This is a great song to test speakers and audio equipment. It's a midrange torture test and will reveal weak audio components in seconds.
I used to work at the strip club this was filmed at. They filmed other things too. "Beverly Hills Cop" was before I worked there and while I was there they did a Steven Seagal movie.and Concrete blonde did "Joey" there.
Sit down at my 168 piece drum kit "8-Ball"... This song is too much fun. Like one long Fill with the tempo/beat it has.
If you want to understand the meaning of this song watch "Boxing Helena ".
