Thanks for providing us this list. I must highly recommend the movie Ready Player One, so far it's been the best experience for me. That first race scene sets the mood for the rest of the movie.
Great video! I have a 9.4.4 system and looking for a good list of 9.1 movies. You've video has helped me with that. I also watch Shane Lee as he as a Trinnov setup as well. Maybe you (or he) can start a database to share on what movies are shot in what speaker formats (5.1 or 7.1, 9.1 etc). I have not seen anyone do this yet. As the consumer home theater market grows knowing which movies best utilize your system would be awesome and probably motivate people to grow their system if they knew the movies that have (or want) can utilize more speakers. Cheers ~
What movie is best to test the system or show it to friends. Since I have some shakers in place the sandworm scene in dune is very impressive. But apart from the low end I don't think it is that impressive. The real advantage of atmos/auro3D is the 'head turning effect' or at least that's what my friends found to be the most enjoyable. When the different channels aren't just used for ambient sound but for effects and objects flying around that can be located easily. Imo there aren't that many films that use those channels very well. Some gunfights or a helicopter here and there. What is the best movie for that sort of effect in your opinion?
As you said there’s not so much movies that use ceiling and elevation with objects You can still try edge of tomorrow, a quiet place Did not tested avatar the way of water but I assume battle with ships will use it
I have an in-depth question that I'm hoping you can help me with. Let me start out with that I'm using very high-end Speaker cables, power cables, power conditioners, ethernet cables in my system. I use the Anthem AVM90 and 2 MCA525 5ch 225w per channel amps in my rig. I'm considering switching over to Trinnov and some of the videos I've seen when these 2 are put up "against" each other is kinda negligible. Of course, Trinnov wins but not by much. Your thoughts on that would be appreciated. Mostly, if I did switch processors and did go with the Trinnov, do I have to do the Amplitude as well or will my MCA's do just fine?? I should note that I use a Mola Mola Kula for my L/R so the Trinnov would have no effect on those channels, and I run my 7.2.2 where all speakers have a REL high level sub hooked up to each of them including 1 to split the Atmos. Great video and thank you if you decide to respond.
The Anthem AVR 90 or the Trinnov.. surely it would wiser to add a poweramp first. After all, having at least 4 height channels is where it's at. Considering you've got quality cables with quality units, I have a question for you.. at least 10 minutes into a movie, if you were to close your eyes and then press pause or mute... Are you able to differentiate whether the system is on or off ? After all, and I'm sure you'll agree with me, amongst other sonic benefits, this is what high-end cables bring to the setup (or at least should)
I ask because this list is specifically reviewing the Atmos (according to the title). Fury Road is great overall, but if you isolate the Atmos it's very disappointing. There are many scenes where you would expect sound from the Atmos speakers but there is nothing at all. Less than 12min of the movie uses the Atmos speakers.
You are geny lol Ben oui je le dis en anglais c'est la première fois que je tombe sur des vidéos du labo de JAY en anglais MDR alors je l ai dit en anglais mdr mais c'est quand même un génie
WOW, the visualization of the moving of sound channels and your review are AWESOME !
thanks, take a look at true lies video and Abyss
and place 0 : Blade Runner 2049, bass in this movie are awesome too !
Watching on a Trinnov will be at least twice as immersive!
Excellent video, some great Dolby Atmos mixes right there.
Thanks and thanks for your kind support
Awesome video friend!!
Thanks buddy
Splendid 👏🏼 and thank you for the demo and info 👍🏼🏴🇬🇧

@@Carl-iw9sy thanks, check out the second video on 13 the atmos films on the channel 😏
If you see Alita in 3D is even better. Can't wait to Alita 2

Sorry I’m not the most qualified regarding audio topics
I really can’t help you regarding your question

Have you tried watching all these movies with the Atmos speakers on only with the other speakers off?
Nope, never had the idea

It also depends what your watching it on pretty sure cuz like Netflix n Apple TV sound pretty different
Better to have and not need then need and not have 😊
Sorry. But I can't forgive you that you didn't put on your list "Soul" from Disney 😢
@@BarteZo29 May be because I didn’t saw it !🤷🏻♂️

Peor que nunca en que iremos a cabar ❗

I have 5.1 Blu-rays far better than some Dolby Atmos 😊
