Gravity....wow i have a 9.2.6 and the fact that GC's voice goes from RL to SBL to FWL to FL is amazing. When she breaths in the helmet your inside it too
If you want to truly understand how a mix should sound if you don’t mind animation 3 movies that sound better than any movie on this list are The BFG, Brave, and The Incredibles 2. All three of those movies have crazy Atmos tracks that put object in the room with you. Especially Brave. The scene where she visits the witches hut is the best way to test how overheads are supposed to work in tandem with your bed layer speakers. I’m not sure how ready player one didn’t make this list or honorable mention Nope also has a fantastic track.
Getting late here with a nod for Disney's Soul. I had seen it in a normal set up and appreciated the movie.. But recently rewatched with my 7.1.4... So good. Positional, music, tone... I highly suggest it.
A few movies you have missed (imho): - the monsterverse movies, apart from Godzilla (the 2014 one) - Aquaman - Pacific Rim (both really, but the first one is really good) - Transformers, at least number 5, but all have pretty close to refrence soundtracks Pretty sure at least 3 of these could replace 3 of your movies. But the others you mentioned, they are up there, on my list.
Terminator Genisys should be in everyone's collection. You have helicopter flyovers, explosions, bullets, and everything else throughout the entire movie. Shane Lee gave it a 10/10 for audio.
Elmo in grouchland is pretty good. At 35:28 in, elmos voice pans dramatically! At 1:13:46 oscar the grouch goes flying creating a thunderous blast which fully utilizes the atmos speakers imersiveness. Its absolutely breathtaking!
I don't think there are 10 movies with dtsx hahahaah. seriously speaking, dtsx seems to me to be better quality than true hd, any movie with dtsx is a pleasure to listen to. Hulk, Jurassic, etc etc
Chris, I play five music BRD's for every feature film and I know my Atmos AVR cant "hit its straps" with the music DVD's&BRD's, but I agree with your selection of "Mad Max", as I do with his prequel's
What a pitty that Gravity was canceled in 4k, another frustrating experience from the Hollywood studios and 80% of the Atmos CDs are a joke (I have a 13.2 Auro/Atmos Cinema). But thank you for this collection! 👍🏼👍🏼
out of your top 10 I own the following Atmos discs A quite place 1917 Mad Max fury road Midway Fury Dune (Can't wait for part 2) Bladerunner 2049 And out of your honourable mentions I have Everest The Batman
Warner recently announced that gravity on UHD will be coming 2024 (as well as Seven by David Fincher) so here's hoping that I can finally add it to my collection
Hi, I was trying to make a comment on your video on locations for "3 days of the Condor", namely your having failed to mention that the arquitect of the G. Museum was Frank Lloyd Wright, whose work certainly merits its being mentioned as much, if not more, than that of the landscape arquitect who designed Riverside Drive. Frederick Law Olmstead. But congrats on a excellent job done.
Some of them actually do have a German Atmos track (on 4k disc). The ones out of that list that come to my mind are The Batman, 1917, Dune, Everest, Midway.
I just checked my collection database: Dune, Top Gun Maverick, Mad Max Fury Road and First Man got a german Atmos track as well. Personally I prefer the original English voices for various reasons tho.
I'm puzzled as to why UA-cam creators like this one, don't give demonstrations, rather than talk about certain scenes. I know some will say that 'due to copyright laws, I'm not permitted to show clips / play sounds from films...', but I think if you word it carefully that your intentions are good and honourable, UA-cam may frown at first, but they will understand your reasons behind it. So my message to Chris At The Movies is this...this is your channel, take ownership of it and lets see what you mean, rather than talk about it. Example... ua-cam.com/video/5Y0QxeRJ_3Y/v-deo.htmlsi=wSVeBApVJTHHa9KR
I have tried to show clips from Movies in my videos in the past and as soon as you upload them to UA-cam the Videos are automatically demonetised and also you then risk Copyright strikes which I don’t want to get involved in, and for the little amount I make on my Videos, it isn’t worth the hassle, Thanks for watching.

This is one of the best Atmos tracks ! I always show my mates the race scene
Missed one that in my opinion is the best atmos movie. Ready Player One.
The hurricane heist.. the atmos sound track will blow you off your seat!
There are some great sounding scenes in Kong skull island
Getting late here with a nod for Disney's Soul. I had seen it in a normal set up and appreciated the movie.. But recently rewatched with my 7.1.4... So good. Positional, music, tone... I highly suggest it.
Great movies here! I would also recommend Godzilla vs Kong. Amazing.

great review chris couldnt agree with you more on these titles! Midway was my favourite, Great atmos
Thanks for watching
Great list - could I also suggest adding the final countdown.
Saving Private Ryne. Check out the opening scene.A masterpiece of Atmos surround sound.
great list !!
Nice choices man, def agree
Can you do a top 10 list of the DTS:X soundtracks mate
I don't think there are 10 movies with dtsx hahahaah. seriously speaking, dtsx seems to me to be better quality than true hd, any movie with dtsx is a pleasure to listen to. Hulk, Jurassic, etc etc
@32discodave why not?
Its slang in Aus and very common tongue for talking to someone.
Grimson Peak was the first Movie wirh DTS:X Sound.
Chris, I play five music BRD's for every feature film and I know my Atmos AVR cant "hit its straps" with the music DVD's&BRD's, but I agree with your selection of "Mad Max", as I do with his prequel's
Solid List💪
Ambulance blows them all out
Yeah, it is special
Highly underrated! Amazing it never makes any of these lists
I’d love to see some horror movies with good dolby atmos
More views like this please
Yeah I’ll be making some more, thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching

It's the best
out of your top 10 I own the following Atmos discs

Mad Max fury road
Midway
Fury
Dune (Can't wait for part 2)
Bladerunner 2049

#1 should be the movie "X"! You will feel like you are THERE, TRUST ME, THE SOUND IS AMAZING!
Is that the Mia Goth movie?
@user-if7gz3lp2i yes, very good sound, in my opinion, and the movies not bad as well
What about Ready Player one?
Can you tell us the source for movies ?
No Godzilla vs Kong?
4:30 unfortunately this one is pretty much impossible to get anymore, so hopefully they get their heads out of their asses and release it on 4K!
Warner recently announced that gravity on UHD will be coming 2024 (as well as Seven by David Fincher) so here's hoping that I can finally add it to my collection

How about Ready Player One and King Kong vs Godzilla?
Sadly none of these films have atmos in the German audio track 😔
That’s why you have to watch in original Ton with subtitles like me
Some of them actually do have a German Atmos track (on 4k disc). The ones out of that list that come to my mind are The Batman, 1917, Dune, Everest, Midway.
