  • I went away for a little weekend getaway to a very pretty, turquoise blue lake called Cachuma Lake. I took naps, taught my dog how to swim, ate a lot of good food, and had a restful time.

Glad to see you're living life on your term Rose. Really enjoying your RV Life video's even though, to be honest, I'm really missing your awesome finance video's as well. Hoping that the sooner you close on your home I may see more frequent financial content. I can only imagine how much more pressure you may have had in producing steady content when you weren't on the road. So for now continue your well deserved stress free spiritual exploration with nature. Know this to be true; No matter were you find inspiration I will be anxiously awaiting to view your next video. Stay Blessed. 😉🌹

I'm 66 and single. Have done the partnership thing, kids and the car camping but not right now. Just spent some time in Puerta Vallarta and now thinking of Ireland. I've been "solo" for awhile but definately not lonely. I have met such amazing people! Always returing to being happy no matter what the environment, which seems to be what you are practicing. This may be a little rambling, but I love seeing a person in a different age group exploring new things and living their life.

Love this! I am 33 and single and loving my journey in life right now. I had a lot of lessons to learn in the past few years and trying to sort out my life so I am currently still living at home with parents but I believe I am on the right path to some sort of financial progress and getting to be where I want. But I don’t want to let that hinder me from loving life. I have to do what’s right and healthy for me and I feel that happiness I spread will only attract the right person into my life when the time is right. I’m not going to savagely date every weekend when I have free time just to test the waters to find the one because I will probably be busy doing the things that I love or make me happy. I feel that happiness will draw us together.

Totally “get” the single and happy experience. It is most definitely a satisfying life experience to be completely at peace and thrilled with being single, not needing anything to be any different than it is in the present moment. Loving being with yourself. I totally get that. It is where I am today. 😀💕

I too am alone but not lonely, after my wife passed away a couple of years ago from a boating accident I adjusted rather quickly to the single life after 30+ years of marriage. You get a lot of time to reflect and appreciate the time to yourself not to mention that you get to do whatever the hell you want to do . I've purchased several motorcycles a fancy stereo system and am now shopping for a Corvette, I never would have thought! Great video Rose!

Its refreshing to see you just enjoy your life while it develops. It's always about the journey and trust that you are taking the time to do what makes YOU happy. These vlogs are great and sharing your life experience with the Internet or at least me is appreciated. Your transparency about your journey is just refreshing for some strange reason. Anyway, I hope your mini vacation continues to bring you not only joy but peace and the freedom to do you that some of us have not had the chance to experience. Eagerly awaiting your next video! Your right we need to embrace the parts of life when we are not in a storm of some sort, which do come around & I'm so very grateful for those times. I love camping & I can show you how to make a great fire 🔥,especially at night sitting around playing guitar & talking & again embracing the moment....
Thank you for sharing Ms. Rose really enjoying!

    Hi Rose!
Congratulations on your new adventure. I'm happy to see that you are living life to the fullest.
You look so peaceful taking that nap, and I am all for the nomadic lifestyle you got going but please be careful. If there are security measures you've already taken to protect your van even with the door open then good, but if not please purchase some alarm system and cameras or something else that you deem more effective. If you already have stuff like that then please keep it to yourself too since there are weirdos on the internet! I'm not saying this just because you are a solo female, everyone should keep safe, but women do tend to get a lot of bad attention.
    Congrats again :)

Van life is THE life! I think Jupi agrees..I was afraid for him for a moment when I thought he might snag his leash in the rocks in the water. Be careful there, Jupi!
Watching this video was so refreshing and energizing. Just seeing you do mundane things like make meals, check out the water and just enjoy the scenery (except the Porta-Potties) makes me so want to do this. I know that you said you finally want to settle down and put down some roots, but I've been there and done that. I think the nomadic life is for me! It's so cool to see you walk around in your vehicle and do house stuff...it's basically a studio apt on wheels! I could do that.
But...the Porta-potties. Don't like that part of it. Gross question, but is it possible to have your own 'toilet', whatever that might be, and just dump it out at specified locations at camp sites. I'm sure there are rules about that. But I think that would be a better system for when 'nature calls.' Sorry for this specific, somewhat icky question!
The end of your vid made me a little depressed, though. You were saying this is the last time in your life when you'll be young, solitary, and I supposed unattached. Is being young so important? Isn't the 'van life' the van life no matter what? No matter how old you are, or if you're attached or not or what stage in life you're in? I feel that the Van Life transcends all. It's always there for anyone who wants to be free.

YES! This vlog was great and I LOVE the message! 37, single and loving life over here! All of my friends have gotten married over the last 12 years and I always felt sad and like I was "the odd one out" and there was always a lot "your day will come". Ha! I no longer care AT ALL! Over the last couple of years, I've completely embraced being alone and having my freedom! Now I more frequently hear "I wish I could be like you and do whatever I want, whenever I want". And not that it's about envy or jealousy, but it's just funny how life has it's way of turning things around. I hope you can get into your home soon but I am also so happy for you and your mindset about life!

I found alone to be a state of mind. I’ve seen people alone in a crowded room and at one time I as well because I thought I needed someone to fulfill who I was.
Only until I found myself by being honest with-in was I able to be free. I’m a better leader at work and enjoying life. Funny thing is ( as with most things in life ) I’m a far better catch now then when I was immature lol. I’m so lucky and I think by always being grateful, no matter what, makes all the difference.

    Hi Rose,
Been watching your videos on and off for a little while, originally drawn by your investment videos. Pleasantly surprised by the slight half pivot to this adventure style as its right up my alley. It would be for me, and I suspect for most people, a very courageous thing to do to leave your comfort zone to make the decision to live in a van. A decision and courage I envy :)
Hope you keep safe and wish you the best.

Incredible mindset Rose...seriously. The place in Mexico will eventually work out, or not. If not, something else will. Until then, rockin' the van life and lovin' it. Also...enjoying life with Jupiter. With your amazing personality, eventually there will almost definitely be another extremely lucky person to start & grow a deep phenomenal relationship with. But if not, no biggie. Either way, making the most of life with Jupiter and all of us. Thanks!

Great video, thanks. I know you had talked about renting out your van when you are not using it, but I think that you have probably not been doing that yet. It is so nice and shiney and everything is perfect so maybe in the future you will do that. Hope your house closes soon.

Nice dinner. I made a steak and baked potato tonight for dinner too. I marinade a NY strip with olive oil, red cooking wine, and Montreal steak seasoning.

Viewing this video in 7/2022 about 1.5 months from my 67th birthday. I have learned a lot from your financial videos and am very much enjoying the van life videos now. I live in semi-rural NW Montana ... after 3 marriages (no children) finally accepted that I love living on my own (with a dog and cat!!!) best and also love living a semi-hermit existence. I am self-employed (computer programmer/developer) since 9/1985 ... YES!
Somewhere after 9/1985 as I was learning about self employment and 30 years old ... I had a kind of epiphany. I found myself thinking (a lot of the time) that things were "better" in the past. Hmmm... maybe rose colored glasses to the past, but it made me aware that "today" was at some point going to be "yesterday" and probably remembered as "the good old days"! Hence, it helped me to appreciate TODAY even in the midst of my dreams for tomorrow. It is a tricky balance ... always and still.
Best wishes on your journey and I will be tuning in. And KUDOS to appreciating your todays.

FWIW, I have a Winnebago Adventurer 33V (motorhome), circa 2003. I bought it in 2005 when I turned 50. I had an opportunity to work/travel (long term contract). I still have the motorhome ... have put about 40K miles on it cross country, criss-cross/north-south. I tow a Jeep Wrangler so can park and explore ... 4 day work week, 3 day weekends. In 2006 after 7 months on the road, I bought my current house - kept the motorhome and have done various length trips from overnights to 3-4-5 months. It is a very livable rolling home. Now, I am thinking of downsizing to van, but with all mod cons! I want to confine travel to the NW US and SW Canada.
Bottomline, your financial and van life and general thoughts are helpful in my own thought process toward a decision. Thank you!!

I think it's awesome that you are living your best life. Getting out of NYC must have been a major life change. Personally I prefer being away from large groups of people. Having a dog a place of your own and the ability to change your location on a whim sounds amazing. If Jupiter has ear problems after swimming try cotton balls with isopropyl alcohol and hold them in each ear for 15 to 30 seconds. Enjoy your life and stay safe, I enjoy your videos! 👍
