- Опубліковано 19 чер 2024
- After doing full-time vanlife in the U.S. since last December, I decided to head over to Mexico City to take a break from vanlife. I'm also THIS close to buying property here in Mexico City, so that's exciting! Meanwhile if you’re wondering… Why Mexico City?! That’s what I want to talk to you about in today’s video! I have 8 good reasons why I moved here. So if you’ve ever thought about moving to another city OR country, I hope these reasons will help YOU get clear on what things to consider before making the move.

8 months ago, I watched your video and it triggered a thought.
After hours of researching and two visits to Mexico, I am retiring (early) in Mexico as of ~April 2023.
Thank you Rose!
Congrats - I love Mexico and Mexican people :)!
Dude the viiiibes!!! I don’t know if it’s because the food quality is trash in America, but just breathing the air in Mexico feels better to me. I just see more smiles here than anywhere else.
I loved my trip to Mexico City years back, for many of the same reasons you mentioned. It’s validating to see that a practically minded person agrees with me. It seems like a well kept secret! Have fun in your time there!

CONGRATS on a new chapter in your life. Do show us more of Mexico City.... the people, the sights, the culture, the food, stuffs they do there for leisure and relaxation. God bless you and keep you and your dog safe always.
Congrats Rose, Mexico City sounds perfect! I’m glad you’re enjoying life on your terms. Wishing you the best cause’ you deserve it girl! 😊
Looking forward to your new videos.
I recall in one of your other vlogs about geoarbitrage--retirees who find it difficult to get by where they lived and move to a foreign country.
Not saying you're a retiree, but to go somewhere else where you can live (and not survive) is a good move for what you mentioned. Cheaper cost of living, less stress and close to home are all excellent reasons to begin a new life. And if things change moving back isn't a problem. At least you gave it a chance.
For me, I am retiring this year and moving to the Philippines. To prepare I made sure my passport is current, I opened up a Charles Schwab account (they don't charge ATM fees when you're in a foreign country) and I let go of things I couldn't take with me that would hold me back.
Keep us updated and enjoy the opportunities life has to offer.
Congrats Rose! It's wonderful that you found an exciting place to "settle" down. I was shocked that you said you were kind of a home body but you can still be that and enjoy the outdoors too. 😉 I wish only the best for you and hope the things you seek you will find. 💯
So excited for you! Please keep us posted on what you learn.
Rose, great to see you back and it sounds like you've made a great choice. All the best in this new adventure! Looking forward to hearing more about it going forward.
Love that you are going to be vlogging about your personal life as well! Can't wait to watch more.
So glad you and Jupiter are happy and flourishing in Mexico Rose.
Wonderful video with insightful information on the country.
Great to see wonderful things unfolding in your path.
I visited Mexico City in Dec, and I speak minimal Spanish. I have to say it is pretty difficult to communicate without Spanish. You might meet that one or two youngish person who understands English but besides that it’s important to know how to speak Spanish to get around.
As ALWAYS Rose, you get me so worked up with enthusiasm, thank-you SO much!!!! Congratulations on your huge life shift. SO glad you’re happy!
Thanks for the updated blog. It has been a while, and always enjoy hearing from you.
I’m happy for you Rose. I’m glad you are making progress my friend. Keep up the great work!
I'm so happy for you Rose! You rock!
Congratulations on this chapter of your life, Rose! 🤗 Mexico 🇲🇽 is on my list of places to visit. I came back from Panama 🇵🇦 last month and was amazed at how walkable and diverse Panama City is - and literally a hot version of NYC or Toronto 😆. Are you planning to RV through Mexican national parks?
Looking forward to videos on acquiring a home outside of America because I’m ready for a permanent expat life. Stay safe 🙏🏾
Hi Rose! Looking forward to how to buy property in Mexico! Thanks for sharing!
Congrats! I love that you've taken the leap and wish you all the best! I've been looking at Mexico City and can't wait to here more about your house purchase!
Way to go Rose!! Do your thing!! Live life, inhale and exhale. 🙏
Would love to hear more about the home buying process in Mexico! Sounds like a wonderful place to settle down for awhile!
Congratz Rose! It sounds like you've started a new adventure in your life...and you're totally jazzed about it. Wish you the best! (From one of your students)
Great video Rose and I totally agree with you, living here in the US blowing your wealth or a mortgage is not the American dream. Plus the weather blows unless I'm back home in San Diego which is too expensive, why I left. I've been considering Mexico (I've lived there before) and Asia. Quality of life, being happy, decent weather and saving a lot of money are important to me. Thanks again!
Rose, I have been living in Denver , too, for so long. Love Mexico and am so envious. Buena suerte and keep us up-to-date on Mexico City life.
Congratulations Rose wish you the best. 🇲🇽 Mexico is a great place.
We were just talking about moving to Mexico City. Thank you for putting this out Rose!
Felicidades!! Mexico has soooo much to offer, I'm happy for you. 'Day in the life' vlogs would be great plus cost of living videos.
Great video! Look forward to hearing one on buying in Mexico. Would also love to hear about safety there. I visited with a boyfriend six years ago and even with him we were concerned about safety, taxis, even police can be corrupt there. But maybe it’s changed since then. Please be careful.
Congratulations rose!! You seem so happy and this is amazing.
It is great to know that you like Mexico city, you seem very happy and excited about this amazing move. Great job again rose on this great video.
So impressed with your attitude and independence. Enjoy the beautiful life you are building for yourself. Looking forward to future updates. 😘
Congrats Rose! Please post more about buying property, process and selections there. Keep those videos coming sometimes a vlog break from investing in this market is a good reset.

Congrats Rose! I'm excited to hear about this next chapter. I want to leave the US too and will be watching the next video for sure!
Congrats, Rose! I love the Spanish language too and it's so awesome that you get to live somewhere you like where you can speak the language. Mexico City sounds great!
Love to hear that you moved to my City! I am sure you are going to love it! Also, looking forward to your video on how foreigners can purchase a home since my Dutch husband is looking to do the same. All the best to you!
This is so awesome! I absolutely love Mexico city. It sounds like you have found your soul city! Can't wait to see more of this type of content.
Dang, girl! I just stumbled across your channel and you have such useful content. Thank you!! I went to Puerto Vallarta a few months back and the people there say that a bunch of American's/foreigners were moving there. It is clear to see why. Mexico is so beautiful and it has such a nice vibe in general. Good luck!!
“Not because I’m a money-hungry…” Rose that was the wildest comment I have ever heard you make in a video. Love it and love the content!
Great to have you here. All best from Mexico City 🇲🇽
Yay, you seem genuinely happy in this video and I’m so happy for you ☺️!
Rose I liked you for your van traveling, loved you for options trading, and now this. Spectacular! Please keep us updated on Mexico City and all it offers. I would love to visit with my wife. Stay well!
Congratulations! So happy for you! Wish you all the best!
Hey Rose, nice to see you again! I am so excited for you 🤩 Look forward to new content ❤️
Rose. I am happy to see your happy in Mexico. My parents retired in jilotipec Mexico, I remember visiting them for ten years which they enjoyed the plaza and the slow life. It’s as beautiful.. thanks again…
So exciting!!! Very invested in this journey now 😂🙌 Can’t wait to see more!!
Great listening to you, nice vlog, very entertaining and fun going places with you!
Thank you for making this video Rose!
Love your positive vibes and insights!
I’m so happy for you! You are living my dream! Thank you so much for the video! It makes me happy!❤️
Thanks for sharing Rose was totally unaware of Mexico City!!!
I did not know Mexico City's weather was so temperate and a cool 70-80ish in the summer. Definitely have it on my list now!
I’m glad you enjoying life in Mexico City. I been thinking of making that move in 3 years if not sooner. Love that view from your window
Love the idea of living in Mexico as a senior. Thanks for sharing.
I’m jealous. Those are all amazing points. Congrats!
Hello Rose, your channel has been major for me. You taught me financial knowledge when I needed to learn about it most. Watching this video made me very happy. I love your 8 reasons and enjoyed the smoothness of your transitions, was it a blur and a wipe effect? Anyway, I too am engaging in living my life the way I want too rather then the expectations set for me. You seem to be at a beautiful vibration and frequency and I'm excited to watch your vlogs and other videos you post. Thank you!
Talk about divine timing! Im going to mexico in november this year to live there for a momth for am internship, so it's worth looking into!
So happy for you! I just got a job with a global company and thinking of working from Mexico City in January and February. Hope to see you there! 😊
Loved CDMX too, was there 2 weeks ago checking out if it's livable.... lots of green, parks, nice cafes.. and yes I was fortunate with the weather too.. very mild. We still have 6 mos (if you're lucky) limitation in staying there w/o visa. You're inspiring me more now.. :)
Good for you! That sounds exciting.
That sounds so exciting!! I've been following your adventure journey the whole way. 😄
Thank you!! What other videos of my adventure journey would you like to see from me??
Welcome back, missed you 🙂
I did the same thing 20 years ago in Mexico. Muchos recuerdos! I will never forget the experience and you will not either. It changes you in a good way. 👍 I'm studying for the S7 now and it reminds me of when I was studying Los verbos en Español
Lol
This is truly Incredible. Definitely enjoyable information
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for sharing! I have been planning a move to Puerto Vallarta next year and eventually buying a condo. I am from Houston so hopefully the heat and humidity won’t be too overwhelming.
A friend of mine lived there for a year. He loved it, but moved back to Thailand. I think he does marketing, so can live anywhere. Originally a New Yorker. Hope it works out for you!
Hi Rose my nephew also loves in Mexico. He works remotely and loves it there. So good choice.
Good to seeing you creating another video.
Thanks! I am back :)
@@itsrosehan You helped me with crypto today.
I’m from Mexico City but now living here in Vancouver BC. I really appreciate your info on the matter, take care!
Love this video. I am doing a test run to Mexico from Canada in the fall. Not to Mexico City, but you definitely sell it well. Look forward to more videos from Mexico.
I love what you said about a place being good for your soul 🤗
Great video. Thanks!
I’ve always wanted to move to Mexico. Currently working my way to financial freedom to make my move 🤩 keep posting your experience!! I need all the tea 🫖 lol
Love that you chose Mexico!🤍 I have family throughout and I’m also looking to purchase in Mex city , curious and would love to know your process!!
I'm so excited for you Rose! MEXICO IS SO FUN. Suggestion for you next video that would be maybe help some of your viewers. I'm American with Mexican parents, during the pandemic I started the process of dual citizenship to buy land over there. Maybe you can add that in your video just a thought to compare and contrast. Can't wait to here more about your adventure.
The real Americans are the brown people of Mexico, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Bolivia, etc.

Rose always good to see you and watch your videos.
Happy for you, Rose. ✌
You are back, YAY!!!!
I am indeed! 😎😎😎
I miss you but I am very happy for you live life to the fullest, looking forward to your good videos all the time lots of knowledge thank you enjoy and be safe in Mexico City love you! 🌹🌹❤️❤️
I presume that you speak Spanish. You seem like your happy and things are working out for you which makes me happy for you Rose. I rely on the fact that you are a smart woman with family and friends to turn to if need be, which allows me to not be concerned for your safety. Your videos are so well done and entertaining plus informative. (I thought I was going to move to Korea, and for a while I tried to learn Korean. Then I visited Korea and realized with out my Korean friend I would be in trouble)
Loved the energy in your video.
Wow Rose I'm glad for you !
Thank you! 💙
Snow is not always depressing…snow is also beautiful depending on your perspective
Oh HELL YES I love Mexico City, I would love to move there myself! Don't feel bad about not uploading enough or changing your content style - I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say your videos are great, it's awesome to hear what you've been up to, and your videos are always amazing when they drop. Have fun down there!
Thank you, that means a lot to me!! And yes you should totally move here :)
After speaking with tons of locals the other day, I want to move to Mexico City myself! Especially coming from San Francisco, completely understand what you are saying! haha
Thanks for sharing! I went to the Yucatan towns (Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, Tulum) and Mexico City to see about buying a place. I'd have to sell my house in the US first, so will go back in a few months, but want to check out the West coast of Mexico too before committing. I loved the vibe in Roma and Condesa, but really didn't like the air pollution or noise (loud cars and motorcycles). I got sick from the water there, in spite of being careful. I wasn't careful enough!
Welcome back Rose
Thank you ☺️☺️☺️
Very interesting. My parents are from a small town 1hr away from Guadalajara. I’ve never been to Mexico City. Seeing this video makes me want to go see the city side of Mexico. Great vid.
That's cool. Hope it's safe there. I'm sure the locals are awesome .
Can't wait to see the place you'll buy.
😎💫💫
Well, I did not expect you living in Mexico City but what I did expect is a new video from you, Rose. I guess I did miss you. I do like your rather interesting life choises, keep em up :)
That’s awesome Rose! I live/work in San Diego, but I also have a very small place in Tijuana close to the beach where I go to unwind and enjoy life (plus micheladas and tacos)😊😊😊
I’m currently trying to figure out how to work from home so I can spend more time in Mexico 😎
Thanks for something different and interesting in regards good financial decisions etc.
Lots of people are moving over there. Crazy, for years people thought CDMX was scary
I'm a New Yorker, born and raised, and while I don't want to leave now, I definitely rather retire somewhere else. Like out of the country. The high costs of homes, rent and crappy health care system are reasons alone to leave. I'm also single, no kids and rather have fun and travel now while I can. Wish you so much luck!
Damn my boo Rose 🌹 moved to CDMX! I am working on getting my citizenship now as well. Congrats on the move and keep up the great content.
Very informative. Thanks
You've pretty much sold me with this video. For sure going to take a vacation there soon but maybe I just stay on a permanent vacation.
LOVE Mexico City sooooo much!! Can’t wait to hear about buying property there as I plan to one day as well! I’m also living in Mexico (queretaro currently) and it has been so good for my soul too!! And I agree, Mexico is so dog friendly.. my pup can go almost anywhere with me! In love with Mexico period. ☺️🥰🥰
How are you liking queretaro? I hear it’s safer and a little less crazy than Mexico City
@@nsanenthembrane i love it! i lived in Mexico City for 2 months as well and loved it and would like to go back but I've got a good thing going on here right now as well. :)
Yes share more of all you like Rose !! Also maybe about money in Mexico vs USA
