The MLS does need a promotion and relegation system, it can improve the competitive nature of the clubs, as they have a lot to win, but nothing to lose, and this system can help have new faces, without having to create a club from 0, the UPSL teams would die to have a shot at the MLS, and likely win to some of the biggest teams, instead of having the exact same teams to lose every week, without consequences. It would be ideal for the last 2 teams from each conference of the MLS to be relegated, and have the top 2 from each conference of the 2nd tier, hopefully UPSL, be promoted. I know you can win the CCL without this system, however, you can’t expect a streak of 20+ years of MLS winning the CCL, and you think MLS has been close on winning it because you got better, which is half truth, but it is also because Mexican soccer has gotten worse, they also got rid of the Promotion/Relegation system, and as a consequence, games have gotten worse, teams don’t play for the win, and without the pressure to win nor the fear to lose, both players and teams don’t put any effort to build any competitive team for the current season, or the ones to come.

Fire fan and have been to multiple games at soldier Field this year. I'm not going to be shocked that fire are gonna hold out and see what the bears are going to do. If the bears decide to move to Arlington heights, fire I assume will try to become primary tenants of soldier Field. Don't mind that if only the fire are the true main tenants and massive renovations are done to reduce capacity and make it better. Hopefully they can follow Charlotte FC renovations with adding a tunnel and things like that.
Consistent CCL final appearances (and some wins) is the number one most important for sure. Also, continuing the trend of signing younger (high potential) players and academy products rather than older players coming from Europe (unless they are still close to their prime)
I've been gone from Boston for a few years now, but most basics don't change. Virtually no one in the Boston sports media is at all interested in the Revolution. There are only 4 pro sports teams in Beantown: Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins, and Celtics, in that order. Bob Kraft has tried many times to gin up interest in a city stadium for the Revolution. In the process he managed to piss off many people in the city and state government. The entire area is barely aware that the Revs exist after over 20 years of MLS play. Too many important people would have to be payed off before any political interest would be shown in such a project. And that doesn't include the NIMBYs who would also have to have their palms crossed with meaningful currency. Short and long answers are the same. It'll NEVER happen!.
@@gilnorton3958 I hate that it has the ring of truth. I feel like I gotta challenge the idea that the entire area barely knows they exist, I mean they're pulling 28/29k+ for some big games and their regular season average hovers around 21 over the last five years, the same as the red sox. the site problem is a huge problem. Personally I'm a floating stadium advocate.
I agree with you so much on the pink inter miami jersey. (This is coming from an orlando city fan) Their colors are pink and black and i was surprised when adidas forced another white jersey on them. But at least we still have a joke for it when the say "Florida is pink" we respond "make your kits pink first!"
I’ve always wondered if the Revs should start looking in Providence. Gillette is already closer to Providence than Boston, so if they just cannot find any land, would it be plausible to set up home in downtown providence?
Just wondering for academy thing, would there not be a way to introduce say a 'two way' player as the NBA call them but say you can select 10 Youth team players under 22 who can only be classed as two way if they can through the team's youth system, and they wouldn't take up a roster spot until they have started 30 games or something like that

Aren’t the bears moving out of soldier field with new stadium plans ? That’ll make soldier field home to only the fire so they’ll technically have their own stadium soon.
It’s tiring at this point but we need pro/rel. Not only will it grow more talent but it will showcase unknown gems that wouldn’t have had the chance to display their talents. Also as a fan. I’m from New York and feel alienated by both NY teams. If there were a more local team that I like, that I can get into in the second division, I’d gladly be a fan knowing that there is a possibility of playing in the top league some day. At this point I’m a casual fan that watches if I happen to be flipping through channels but I’d like to be more. Neither NY team does it for me.
1 - An owner for RSL already!! We have a decent academy and our 2nd team has produced some players who have moved up, we just need a decent owner who will let the staff do the jobs they were hired for, and not gum up the works. 2 - The Rocky Mountain Cup to be really relevant again. If LV joins it could transform in to a 3-way competition (even though they aren't actually in the Rockies...). 3 - Let every team pick their own kit provider already! I understand the league gets a boatload of cash with the current deal, but every year we get the same boring designs. Kit sales would soar if they were actually worth buying. 4 - Have MLS invest in improving infrastructure for USL teams. Quite a few MLS starters, and a greater number of 2nd stringers got their start in USL. Think of how many more could be produced if the 2nd-4th divisions weren't playing in college or high school stadiums. Along with this, we need more MLS teams to invest in NWSL teams. A Women's team alongside the Men's increases the brand awareness and grows the audience potential! 5 - All teams need to take the USOC, CCL and now the Leagues Cup seriously. Ever since RSL's run to the CCL final more teams have seen the potential, but there are still some that fade out in the first round to teams they should beat. And we still have teams that field their 2nd string for USOC games and go on to lose to a 2nd or 3rd division first team.
I like seeing American Footbal lines on a field because its easier to gauge how much they are running and kinda how fast compared to the NFL. I like it
Something that I NEED is for the Chicago Fire to actually do something. There is no excuse for 2 playoff appearances in the last 12 seasons, and they only had one of them because of Schweinsteger. Chicago deserves a competitive soccer team, the Hispanic population in Chicago is massive and they love soccer, and they would absolutely support a good Fire team, but the team has been so bad it’s killed all fandom in the city.
1) Add XOLOS of Tijuana to MLS as the 30th team--really shake things up in the region. 2) Invade EUROPE. The next growth-phase of MLS is international exposure; focus on TV Broadcasting deals in UK, Germany, etc. 3) Game Day pre-game show (I'll steal that idea) 4) Host Leagues Cup games in México too, not just in U.S. 5) Stay the course. Salary Cap, DP's, TAM, etc, keep a steady, responsible pace.
Me, i need: 1: Toronto to be the first MLS team to win CCL in 2023 (we shoulda done it already) 2: MLS Network (in the vein of MLB Network/NFL Network... and I'd love if all of us MLS/Concacaf UA-cam personalities ended up on there...I should be the Greg Amsinger of that network.) 3: Third kits for all MLS clubs 4: Get rid of the Salary Cap.... it needs to be done, at worst after the 2026 WC 5: New stadiums for NYCFC, Chicago Fire, the Revs and for Miami to finally build their stadium...
As a NYCFC supporter, yeah that stadium issue is up there. I also kinda wish they had a stronger identity besides looking like they cosplay as ManCity on the weekends. As an Indycar fan, I can agree about delayed starts. One network missed the start of a race due to tennis going long. One item I'll add to the list is that MLS should treat their final cup game like a spectacle and not just another game. If I'm a casual viewer flipping the channels, why should I stop on your event? What is special? What's going on here besides another soccer game? This is one of the few team sports in North America that doesn't have a series to determine a champion. It's just down to one big important game. Lean into that. Make this the big extravaganza it should be.
It would be cool if they put it at a neutral site venue and had a mini half time show. Like the NCAA puts more investment into the College Football Playoff and that's an event with just student athletes.
So ? All 3 other Liga MX clubs all got eliminated by MLS Cups that year, and they finished in positions 2, 5 and 6 in Liga MX and all qualified for the Liguilla.
Get to 30 teams and stick with it. Increase the salary cap to average the most money spent on players in the region. Get all teams to be happy with there stadium situation and no more football Lines on a soccer field.
As for a pre game or Shoulder programs I blame the league for not producing them.. yeah a GameDay type show be nice but I just don't think it'll be strong
MLS needs to promote its top 10 clubs. Right now even the top 10 clubs are not known by casuals. Every American should be able to list at least 10 MLS clubs, many cant.

Indeed relegation is a must, I'm tired of all of the Liga MX teams trying just hard enough to get a shot at the title, which are the top 8 like holy shit that is a lot
True ... There's no penalties for being bad on MLS.
I particularly can't watch ...
@@Adamdidit Forget about TV Deals, those things will come later on, and the weaker teams will only get better if they start to play stronger teams, that's why the promotion and relegation system works.
Leicester City did a pink away kit for 19/20 why can't inter Miami do what Leicester did and make a pink kit
Beckham said miami will have a pink kit next year
@@isiahpaskins interesting will it be half or all pink?
@@OrlandoLionFanClub all pink. Other sources back it up too. For shorts idk if they’ll be pink as well but we’ll see
@@isiahpaskins nice hopefully it doesn't look as bad as the white kit
@@OrlandoLionFanClub facts
We need third kits and I agree with the pre game shows and another thing about the jerseys let teams go out and get deals with other brands than adidas so all the jerseys can have a different look and feel and more diverse for the jerseys every season
Still waiting for you to do a video on the Canadian Premier League
I'd like to see you do something on some of the oldest soccer teams. I know the sport goes back in the US a lot further than most people realise.
Gonna need a Motor City FC in the next couple years. The Union is one of the things I miss about Philly the most
Yep Detroit motors FC sounds pretty cool though. Reminds me to jeonbuk motors fc
If the Bears move out of Soldier Field, do you think the Fire could renovate Soldier Field to be a better fit for soccer?
Loving the inter Miami cameo 🤩
Consistent CCL final appearances (and some wins) is the number one most important for sure. Also, continuing the trend of signing younger (high potential) players and academy products rather than older players coming from Europe (unless they are still close to their prime)
revs to win ccl in their secret new stadium the krafts have been building
Just wondering for academy thing, would there not be a way to introduce say a 'two way' player as the NBA call them but say you can select 10 Youth team players under 22 who can only be classed as two way if they can through the team's youth system, and they wouldn't take up a roster spot until they have started 30 games or something like that
watching this in my 2011 rose city kit 😄
I like the MLS pregame show idea zoo much that I think you should do it until the MLS picks it up. That way it'll match your vision instead of theirs.
Inter Miami need to look at Chattanooga to see what great things can be done with pink
Insigne signing with Toronto would be the dream.
It's quite simple. A new TV deal. A TV deal that helps up the quality of the league and makes games accessible to all fans (eliminate blackouts).
yo Danny for my wish list potential derby rival with Atlanta United vs New Orleans Union aka the battle of the Benz and Clubs within tornado alley and route 66
I really want them to compete in the Copa Libertadores
Aren’t the bears moving out of soldier field with new stadium plans ? That’ll make soldier field home to only the fire so they’ll technically have their own stadium soon.
Word, Soldier being repurposed to be soccer specific could be a reality in the next couple of years
Can you make a video describing how the other brackets and tournaments work that the mls teams can participate in???
They do have a pink tank top that’s amazing I wear it for every home game
They’ll have a pink jersey for home games next year
#5…You're welcome. Sincerely, Seattle
Hi Danny.
Are you aware of Football manager. Do you like it? Do you think it does MLS well?
Detroit team in MLS… ok I know it’s not going to happen but this is just depressing 😭😭😭
Hey, they've got a better chance than Indy at this point and we've been trying for a little while😂
We have this kind of pregame show in french for CF Montréal... weird this isn't the case in english
3 and a third down already! I am convinced that Chicago and New England will never get stadiums and the academies need some more time
U gotta make a video about troronto FC New signings!!!
@dannyT you should create a slack or discord for all of us to talk about MLS during the season.
Support Queensboro FC in the USL!
You should rank all the MLS academies from worst to best like your badge rankings.
A dedicated streaming service, but i think that may be in the works.
Well inter miami finally has a pink jersey. One down.
If the Bears move out of Soldier Field, then does that make Soldier Field a soccer-specific stadium for the Fire?
don't forget RSL's CCL run
I like seeing American Footbal lines on a field because its easier to gauge how much they are running and kinda how fast compared to the NFL. I like it
MLS needs a final four tournament before the season starts.
MLS champions
Supporter Shield
US open Cup
Canadian cup
Canafian clubs playing in Canada in 2022 ?
Can't wait to be in the stands at Nashville SC new stadium in May 2022, largest soccer stadium in all of America and Canada 💪
3) Game Day pre-game show (I'll steal that idea)
4) Host Leagues Cup games in México too, not just in U.S.
5) Stay the course. Salary Cap, DP's, TAM, etc, keep a steady, responsible pace.
I agree, it's time for Inter Miami to step up.
inter miami’s home kit is going to be pink finally they announced it
here after the sounders ccl win hell yeah baby!
I really hope NYFC gets a stadium asap. Hate seeing yhem play at our home field RB arena
Me, i need:
1: Toronto to be the first MLS team to win CCL in 2023 (we shoulda done it already)
2: MLS Network (in the vein of MLB Network/NFL Network... and I'd love if all of us MLS/Concacaf UA-cam personalities ended up on there...I should be the Greg Amsinger of that network.)
3: Third kits for all MLS clubs
4: Get rid of the Salary Cap.... it needs to be done, at worst after the 2026 WC
5: New stadiums for NYCFC, Chicago Fire, the Revs and for Miami to finally build their stadium...
12:06 they lost to one of the our worst teams, we were 17th in the Liga MX when we won that soooooo... Theres levels 😬
Lets hope for the best.
Three have been fulfilled
You should make a Charlotte FC video
As for a pre game or Shoulder programs I blame the league for not producing them.. yeah a GameDay type show be nice but I just don't think it'll be strong
MLS needs to promote its top 10 clubs. Right now even the top 10 clubs are not known by casuals. Every American should be able to list at least 10 MLS clubs, many cant.
Yes, pink Jersey !!! I will buy right away, I hate that white Jersey
I'm so happy from that announcement!
TIMBERS IN THE COLLECTION
Personally though I need NYRB to win either the open cup or MLS cup. Also would love to see Rochester dominate in MLS 2
More teams and to create a Div. 2 because of it.
