Kenny Giron's tone and skill are lying at two ends of the spectrum. I always wondered how someone can have such chops and such a trashy guitar tone. I am not trying to be a hateful person on the internet, but god damn, that tone is fucking awful.
@BojanTomicMusicChannel Yeah, man. You're right. I noticed this too when I saw the videos at the time. I preferred to be quiet. But he's a good player. Maybe today him knows how to set high gain tone close to the Pantera. It's not hard to do with a bunch of great amp sims as well. Anyways. I agree with you.
Man I'm using this vid to learn the song - Gotta say you come to appreciate this stuff that much more when you see for yourself how hard it is to learn and play it!!!
Is it though? I find a lot their stuff in a weird in tuning between E flat and E. I think the Kat (Dimes Guitar tech) called it half step down plus 4 cents or something on vulgar video. But I guess they went through a few tunings through the albums
Just tune your guitar to standard but make sure your tuner is set to 432Hz you can do it with the snark tuners on the back of them, a lot of cowboys from hell you do 432 and then to standard, songs like floods you tune to d standard on 432 Hz
The amp is great for that price, if you haven't got a Dime guitar I'd definitely try one in the shop. The only other effects I'd get with it are some ambience pedals or a pedal board like a boss me-70. Something like that you can run the dime head through turning off the pedal board pre amp section and just run a few different effects on top like chorus, flanger, hall reverb etc. Cool for getting that huge sound like on floods. Thanks dude
This song is so fucking good. You did an amazing job with this cover. Vinnies drums are killer on this song. There's a reason Zakk Wylde calls Dimebag Saint Dime, and you just showed us why. He was such a guitar god.
I have a few times but I don't really have much time to spend setting them up. Apart from that I have two young girls who are mostly having an afternoon nap when I get a chance to upload something. My window to make videos is either Saturday or Sunday afternoon. It's just convenient I guess lol
awesome cover as always bro thanks again for taking the time out to post ur covers ur a great guitarist!!btw ur floyd rore & fret leveling tutorials were fantastic!thanks again anthony i really appreciate it.
thank you again brother for your insite on the dime head & cab combo info.yeah ive got the dean from hell but no amp at the moment so im bumming a bit.ill try out the pedal board idea of yours soon as i get my next paycheck.thanks for taking time out to get back to me on my question bro i really appreciate it!!:).cant wait for ur next video brother.take it easy anthony.aloha
i had i quick question if u dont mind getting back to me on?i want to buy the dime 4x12 cab/head combo for $700 at my local shop but for that price is there anything u would recommend to get a great pantera tone? thanks again buddy cant wait to see more of ur videos pop up bro.cheers!!
dude, I love watching you. It just reminds me of how much dime was fucking killer. great tone by the way! its probably really hard to nail each tone of each album! keep it up!
You should really think about investing in a looper pedal brother. Seeing as a lot of tracks off TGSTK were looped over guitars. That way you would have the freedom to play more of the different riffs that are harmonizing in the tracks.
@@Toleyshreds Geez, I don't even remember posting that. I think I was drunk ranting TBH. I'm referring to the confederate flag thing. But I'm not american so not sure why I have a standpoint on it. I want something that's fun to learn on plus I'm from Tennessee so it works and if I can one day make that thing sound like you do, ;:->) , I like those Washburns but they are insane expensive right ! Most of Pantera is in regular tuning. Tune your whole guitar down a step a little below D for this one and most of the others off this album

Everyone’s like “dimes riff” and don’t get me wrong; it’s a slick riff. But that drum beat to back him up 🤘🏻😝
One of dimes greatest riffs, so fucking badass
Is it possible to learn this power?
Timothy Maynard Like Anakin and Palpatine?lol

I MUST know, what camera do you use to record, and what editing program do you use to put the band logos in the lower right corner?

Is the Dean Rebel a heavy guitar ?
No it's actually pretty light. A little too light for the size. The FBD ml was heavier.
