I’m in Canada and did Stone Coat countertops over existing laminate 3 years ago. Glad to see videos using their products. I believe they’re the best and still happy I did my countertops.
Nice work man!! I was super impressed by your creative and thoughtful solutions. The way you installed the sink was so slick!! Really top notch work on all of it!
I wish I had seen this video last week. You could of saved me endless hours of watching SCC videos. I love the speed, and detail of you videos. You seriously covered every question I had researched. Well done.
Playing with the colors is the best part because all the hard work on these is in the Prep and your just playing with the light at the end of the tunnel.
We really appreciate your effort to teaching people like us who willing to do these products but little scared have no experience about so many products but god bless all of guys and girls out there always ready to teach people what ever diy they can do it or professionals in different skills god bless you guys actually you guys serving the whole world
I subscribed to their channel for ideas. Will be doing our kitchen in the new place soon. May test out the in the laundry room or maybe something for a cheap counter top in the garage.
One of the best kitchen transformations I've seen so far! Looks Beautiful! I can't wait till I finish building my cabinets and start on the countertop. I'll be doing the StoneCoat contertops epoxy as well, as that saves me thousands and I can get them just the way I want them.
Outstanding John. If you’re not a big fan of the shiny look, Stonecoat now offers a platinum or Ultimate coat that is more of a matte finish and tougher than the standard epoxy.
Nice job. You are so much easier and more pleasant to listen to than the Stone Coat guys. Lifting the undermount sink was genius, as was gluing the blocks to TAPE to clamp the two pieces of MDF countertop.
Ive used the same system in our kitchen. We did a white "marble" look over out dated granite. With the white the gloss isnt nearly as bad but Ive been looking into putting a layer of their Ultimate Top Coat. The stuff seems even more indestructible and its a matte finish.
@@JohnBuildsIt yea looks like it can a “future” application and doesn’t need to cure for nearly as long and also no troweling. Goes on in much thinner layers so less messy also
Excellent video! So glad I clicked on this one. I'm remodeling my house and wanted marble countertops but can't afford real marble. I had seen the stone coat stuff, but always saw it over existing laminate, but mine is similar to the video of being just TOO far gone. I thought I didn't have an option for stone coat anymore, the idea of creating a new base never occurred to me. The countertops came out looking fantastic in your video!
we've been doing sample pieces to dial in the recipe we'll be using in a couple of rentals. You are so right about the camera not being able to capture how nice the piece looks.
Great work, I've done similar epoxy countertops at my house and instead of doing a flood coat with epoxy I decided to use water based polyurethane with a matte finish which gives it a bit more protection, although its doesn't look as glassy as an epoxy coat.
Fan-fucking-tastic job man!! Looks sweet!! I’ve never heard of epoxy countertops, saw your vid in my feed and I said “ok, let’s see how this goes.” Boy I’m glad I learned a little bit on this topic. Thanks for the vid. Great job with those solutions you came up with!!
The BEST part: the tip on installing the undermount sink. The superb job with epoxy. Really nice narration.
Thank you!
I love the attention to detail and the pride you take in your work.
Thank you!!

That’s awesome, glad to hear!
Very cool to see someone do this who isn’t part of Stone Coat. I am getting ready to order and do my own project.
Nice work man!! I was super impressed by your creative and thoughtful solutions. The way you installed the sink was so slick!! Really top notch work on all of it!
Thank you!!

I did actually! Haha surprised it took someone this long to ask! Better safe than sorry👍🏽
@@JohnBuildsIt nice. I've been wanting to do a project like this. I'll probably just make some outdoor tables
I own a marble and granite countertops business but this is actually pretty cool. I would never choose it over stone but it’s dope
I am with you Sergio but I am about to do some camper remodel work and this is a much lighter option and the looks amazing.
So satisfying to watch -even if it's not my cup of tea.
Thank you! It’s not mine either haha

Absolutely! And MDF is pretty cheap so it just made sense to start new!
Different metals like from a factory instead of metals that you win or that are awarded to you as well like metal artwork.
Felicitaciones, buen trabajo...

Amazing
Like from Siberia Russia
Nice job!
