1. The rattling can be remedied. That was priority for me when I got my FC. I have no more rattle in mine. One of the biggest culprit was the deep end of the dash. I remedied it by 3d printing a nice Mazdaspeed wedge that holds it nice and tight while adding style points. 2. The trunk not closing/opening right. Mine did this as well - Simply open the hatch and look at the two latches that the door latches to. The screws on mine was literally half off. A simple tightening of these fixed it 100%. 3. Yes, backseats on the 2+2 are pointless for passengers - personally, I keep mine up for 2 reasons. If I need to quickly put something away while somebody is in my passenger seat, I just put it in the back seat and it's easy to pick back up. and two, It helps groceries in the back stay nice and snug so they aren't rolling around with the extra space (and it also makes for a nice snug hug for my subwoofer. (Fun fact, I too kept a cup holder in my back seat before I designed and 3D printed some cup holders haha) 4. The steering wheel - yeah, mine does that too... It was terrible when I first got the car, but I later forgot about it as I never really drive with my hands on the top. With that said, I am getting a new wheel soon, but I've been looking for something without a dish, a similar radius and stock looking which is hard to find without spending a lot of money. Yes, the steering wheel issue sucks.
i miss my S5 FC. To be fair, that car is 30+ years old. There are items you have to lubricate, adjust or replace. i had to do those repairs on a newer car 15 years ago. The rear seats were for insurance classification (four-seaters have lower insurance)
The back seats being up actually helped cut drone for me and served as a divider for storing stuff. TOTALLY about the plastics. That whole steering wheel surround is just trash. S4 steering wheels were def the worst
I really regret getting rid of my 87 rx7 it was modded amd i had interior mods but i miss my rx7 i had a straight pipped with magnaflows and it was perfect sounding
I store my racehelmet and suit in the backseats (I thought all US spec FC had bins actually) JDM spec front lenses are parklights (sealed with bulbs) and not flash to pass like US spec.
I wish mine looked that sweet sam! I really need to get on and sort mine as she has been slowly rotting away outside now for years and definitely needs some tlc!! Lol

I own one and a. My steering wheel is hard as a fucking rock. The leather has shrunk and the seams are starting to tear apart b. Mine has a windshield wiper on the rear hatch, and that makes it easier to lift it up c. mine is the non 2+2 model, and the rear seats are replaced with these two storage bins that are quite small I cant really think of anything I hate about it, and the interior is better than my daily, an 08 focus, which has a much uglier interior imo

Engine floods and then you have to take the fuel pump fuse out and turn it over for 10 seconds. Then the dash gauges trip when you start it back up.
