Isn't it possible to save and quit out of the game after touching that star crystal on the map, before you absorb its star bits? I thought I remember reading that you could do that after watching CMeeCraft's video of this challenge last year.

Waluigigoeswa actually found a way around the world map star bits. Here's what normally happens: 1. Fly to the star crystal. Star bits go to Starship Mario. 2. The count goes from 0 to 8. 3. 8-0=8, so 8 star bits were collected. Alternatively, try this: 1. Withdraw 9999 star bits from Banktoad. Because Banktoad is allied with you, you already had them, you were just moving them around. 2. Fly to the star crystal. Star bits go to Starship Mario. 3. The count goes from 9999 to 9999. 4. 9999-9999=0, so 0 star bits were collected. 5. Give the 9999 star bits back to Banktoad. Note that you cannot do this for normal level star bits, since levels have their own counters, and you can't fill that counter using Banktoad.
Nintendo didn't forget SMG2, they legit said its a retelling of the first one and even then, there was some real sh*t happening during development so they probably didn't want to touch it anyways
I think the ship travels faster when using the pointer of the wiimote (travelling can be done by pointing the place we want to go, and press A, instead of using the joystick)

Why did they not put this game in 3D all stars? Come on Nintendo. This game was more so my childhood than Galaxy 1. It’s just better in my opinion and closer to me. Mostly the nostalgia factor though XD Anyways, Great video as always!
