Honestly using the rule "A move that has Mario using his legs to push off the ground" is a very accurate and extremely simple rule, it should be the baseline
The Galaxy games are two of my favorite games of all time, and your videos on them are outstanding! All the strategies you've concocted must've taken a LONG time to create and master
In all my years of playing this game and I never knew there was a secret area behind at 6:00 😅! Amazing vid so glad to see you do this for the second game also!!
im actually blown away i didn’t know about the hidden section at 6:00!!!! I had a mini heart attack when i was like NOOOO WAY that exists!😭 COMPLETELY blown away lol
Here, my guys, is easily the best video game ever known to society, THE example of perfection in game development. Everything from the first game, but better and more, a pure legend.
After all this time this game is still one of my favorite games ever, and I genuinely believe that this is the best mario game, even if it is just part nostalgia, or if its just the spectacle and variety of the gameplay throughout the game.
Some of these mechanics used like bouncing off the luma to ground pound and using the goombas to bounce across the deadly goop is so impressive. How you thought of this is amazing
You ARE good at the game :) Not that I ever doubted that, of course, esoecially after completing a minimum jump challance of the first SMG. But I'm impressed that you beat the prankster comet of yoshi's galaxy at the start of the game (can't remember what that one's called) - I never managed to beat this one, even with jumps
An original challenge, nice strats and high-quality editing: I'm definitely gonna take notes from this. I especially like the attention to detail for the text you add in during boss fights, for example at 24:43 part of the text goes behind King Whomp but in front of the background. That must have taken some time to get right! But yeah, keep doing what you're doing, because you're doing it well!
Whenever I watched your SMG1 min-jumps run, I was really impressed by the amount of effort you put into it. You definitely deserve all the love you've been given, and then some. Thanks for the awesome content.
I tried doing this a few months ago and got to world two. I didn't see your video at the time but somehow I managed to use pretty much all of the exact same strategies??????? No idea how that works.
Genuinely shocked at the number of subs you have, considering the quality of this video I would've thought you'd had a couple hundred thousand subs. Keep up the good work man 👍

That was awesome! I love challenges like these. I'd like if the jump counter was always visible on screen in the corner so it's easier to see your jump count without having to wait for the next one. But overall, very impressive video!
You HAS to start speedrunning super mario galaxy. I started it after ive completed both games many times, and it brought me so much more fun to do with the game. I recommend to speedrun the 1st game because the second has the stupid yoshi trick which kind of ruins many levels. However ur content is amazing and your videos are fun to watch so I would love to see videos about how u improve your speedruns!

Really cool and interesting vid. I played Galaxy 2 over 8 times (cuz it used to be my favourite Mario Game till Bowsers Fury) and didn't know about many advanced tricks/glitches.
Great video, you knew alot more tricks than I thought you would. Just a thing though if you're gonna do 100%, you'll be able to save at least 1 jump in puzzle plank 1 by using a trick called the Mega Sideflip and skip the wall jump section by using only 1 jump
wall costs 1 jump, the boss also costs 1 jump. there is also a strat where you could use a flipbug above the wall but it's ultraprecise. it's possible for 1 jump but it's one of the hardest ones
23 Jumps!? I was wayyyy off with 60 lmao. Great video! I learned some new secrets I never knew existed in the game. ALSO CONGRATS on getting a sponsor!!
26:39 for me, this is the hardest star to get in the entire game. I say this because I have not gotten to the point of being able to do the perfect run.
8:15 Lol when I first did this a year or so ago, I spent ~20 minutes and many fails trying to use the momentum from the flip panel to launch me up & above the star (did the same for the green stars, later). Took an incredibly long time, but it did eventually work!
@@Ansel_G I bet; you're definitely much, MUCH better than me when I first did this. Maybe I'll try again at some point? Anyways thanks for the hearts, can't wait to get to watching the 100% run! ^-^
You know, you could have collected the comet mission in Sweet Mystery Galaxy, it probably requires 0 jumps and could have replaced the star of Supermassive Galaxy that requires 2 jumps
@@Ansel_G based on guides, I think that one didn't show up because you didn't do the Puzzle Plank Comet, which in turn didn't show up cause you didn't do the Cloudy Court Comet
Just watched 100% run, absolutely amazed & I really, really love it. No way I can replicate it lol but I'll try. Anyways, I just had an idea related to the Bowser's Castle galaxies, specifically in W6. This requires several things to be true, but maybe. If you could continue to infinite flutter with Yoshi up & over the gate (so long as there isn't an invisible wall), then you may be able to make it to the cutscene activation area (if that's how it works at least) and start the fight without spending any jumps trying to open the gate. It'd would be less cool unfortunately but hey, less jumps
that was the first thing I tried, you need the door to be open to activate the cutscene unfortunately I even clipped inside the door and nothing happened
Think spinning should count as jumping. Because you are mostly. Just seems little low on jump to believe. But you good for, serving you splatoon 3 story video.
Spinning while not grounded gives Mario height, he never jumps from it but he does get lifted up by the force of his spin. Sort of like link’s recovery move in smash bros
