I found out by accident that cucumbers stay fresh longer leaving them outdoors. I picked some pickling cucumbers out of my garden and left them on a table that is mostly shaded all day by accident and left town for a while and forgot about them when I came back. They were sitting for around two weeks and they were still fine and not shriveling. It was middle of summer with 80+ degree temps.
Thanks for the video! I grew some slicing cucumbers and as I picked them and put them in the fridge, they would just get rubbery and then rot. Back to compost they went. Now I know what to do.
cucumbers and carrots stay for so long in the fridge submerged in water in a glass jar. I learnt it on utube n tired it too n it really works. Gv it a go
very helpful to know about the gas. we've started to store all our produce in a cabinet, because I get tired of looking at it on the counter. Won't put the cukes in there!
I just wanted to say If your refrigerator is so cold that the food in there is actually freezing, you need to adjust the knob a bit that controls the temp in the fridge. The settings are usually numbered 1-5. It should be set somewhere between 3 & 4. Get a little thermometer to put in the fridge to check the temp. The fridge should stay above freezing, but below 40 degrees.
i wish i saw this video before i put my cucumbers in the fridge & panicked when i saw one of them drying up & pickled them bc i didn’t know what else to do 😭
Never got to the point. I felt like I was watching someone who like to here himself ramble on. ..show his animated intro..explain the chemical theory of imbalances..just cut the cucumber..show what container to store it in..and tell how long it might last..that simple..that why it is called a video..not a seminar lecture..do everyone a favor..get to the point quickly..
My father-in-law had that Batman shirt. It was his favorite shirt and one I probably saw him in the most. My mother-in-law gave it to me when he died in 2022. 🩵

Very useful, very articulate, no nonsense information. Many thanks. What a relief!
Glad you liked it!
I would put them in fridge after picking, they shrivel and wrinkle the same day, so now I keep them out and they do great
Yay
wow, thank you so much for this video. such an obvious solution but something I've never tried.

Well, I think the additional information is very helpful. It's just a matter of preferences, I guess.
You do not know what you are talking about go back and study your info think you just want to hear your voice
Yes I do
Have you ever heard of using punctuation, like commas?
