No one commented on when the girl who got the ticket got down, she walked up to the girl on the team that got up first and said 'This is yours" and gave her the ticket.
That was pretty awesome of her.
Reading the comments, I suspect most people don't know just how hard this problem is. These people are freaking good at climbing.
That's so selfless of her if she really did that. An amazing person!

+SugarRay2 Ehm ... it was a totally casual and unofficial 'competition'. Everyone saw that Puccio's team completed the problem first, the ticket itself is meaningless. Hardly a significant gesture, albeit a nice one.

wasn't a hug attempt. it was in response to them finding out that they have to grab the physical ticket at the top of the boulder (since they didn't, even though they topped, it doesn't count)

Is it length just a huge advantage in performing these tasks?
No, it proves disadvantageous on many routes. My wife is 5’2” (+0 inch wingspan) and I’m 6’0” (+3 inch wingspan). Sometimes I can skip holds, making the climb easier; other times I simply can’t fit in the small space necessitated by the route. Also, being taller typically means being heavier. Many children are insane climbers due to their advantageous proportions. The ideal climber is tall, extremely flexible and super light (see: Adam Ondra). However, that’s not a typical body type, so the next best tends to be an average-to-small-sized male with a very favorable weight-to-strength ratio.
