Hi love ; so my filter is set to even out the colors in the video; for example if my eyeshadow is too saturated or not blended well; never to change what I look like. It’s literally set to 8% out of 100 . If you think you’re seeing a filter then you must have amazing eyesight because 8% can’t hide a pimple much less be that visible to the naked eye. FYI; every UA-cam video uses color correcting filters once they reach a certain audience level as audiences today are used to television polished viewing; TV and Film uses off the charts filtering; so make sure to stay away from them since my 8% filter bothers you ! 🤣
My sister has downturned eyes and she’s soooo beautiful. So many things that people consider to be “flaws” can really just make a person more interesting looking and beautiful imo. The same often goes for a strong/big nose on a woman with chiseled bone structure. I wish more plastic surgeons would advise people away from trends/standards and focus on helping to enhance the persons natural features as a unique individual.
Plastic surgeons want to make money. Turning away 95% of your clientele would be a bad business model. Unfortunate as it is that money is the #1 motivator for nearly everyone; it is the truth. But I agree with you. A beautiful face is a beautiful face. Literally every human that can see recognizes an objectively beautiful face, no matter the features. People will add their preferences on top of it, but what person hasn't said "yes, they're very good looking. Just not my type.", ya know?
For me it's everyone getting lip injections. They don't suit everyone. I've noticed a lot of people only get the sides of their top lip filled, which looks so weird to me. Another one is when the person ends up with a duckbill. I don't like the fox eye trend.
I like it make up-wise, the technique really highlights my cheekbones. I’ve always loved the look, but the more permanent plastic surgery does look quite unnatural. Funny thing is I already kind of used the makeup technique when the cat eyeliner was trendy, I have partially hooded eyes so I have to do my eyeliner kind of funky to get that sharp flick.
A massive mistake is when the fillers make the person look EXTRA puffy, for me they seem to look as if they are in pain or just really bloated and sort of shiny. It's really strange.
Yeah. Jaclyn Hill is the poster child of that for me. I don’t mean to be rude either, but it looks like Lorry might also be just on the edge of that look.
I want to add that just bc a surgeon has a big following on IG doesn’t mean they’re good. So thorough research on your surgeons and injectors. Check if they have any malpractice or have ever been sued. Check where the graduated, ask of they’re continuing their education. Research research research!
I’ve noticed this as well. I find it so hard to find a good surgeon it’s difficult to find out who you can trust. I’ve looked at some surgeons Instagram, some of them have a large following but their work looks SO fake. Especially the noses. I don’t get it. Why are they so popular when their work is clearly so so bad
What I suggest is go to South Korea or Thailand or other Asian countries. The plastic surgeons are really good there. It's all about doing minor changes which affect the overall looks and usually results to a natural face
This is the biggest issuee, I’ve wanting to get a nosejob since I was 14, and now I’m 18 and I’m getting one for my graduation gift but I just can’t decide the doctor because I want a very specific nose (kinda like wolfie cindy’s) and here In Spain I don’t know who could do it without making my nose too small or fake :/
I had Juvederm in my lips years ago and it came out looking awful. But I assumed it was that the doctor did a bad job. So I was about to get Juvederm again by a different doctor. Now I know it’s the Juvederm itself that will make it look bad, regardless of how good of a job the doctor does, so I’m going to get Restalane instead. So thanks! You just saved me from wrecking my lips again, lol!
I’m actually really in disagreement with the statement given by Lorry. It greatly depends on the technique used by a doctor and their overall sense of aesthetics. I also had duck lips and ‘mustache lips’ until I found my doctor. It is to be noted that with all the doctors I only injected Juviderm 3. There are so many cases when Juviderm can look very natural and beautiful.
Props for using the "Uncanny Valley" term! It originated in the field of artificial intelligence to describe the unsettling similarity between some AI and humans, where AI is passably human yet still has something indescribable missing that makes it feel unreal. Very good descriptor for the effect some surgically modified human faces have on human perception. Our brains are extremely fine tuned to other human faces. Love your videos Lorry, please keep it up!
Agreed. Why do people relish being so cruel these days? There are a lot of unhappy people in this world and they seem to be attracted to venting on social media.
@@tinaismamama well I highly doubt someone who does beauty stuff on UA-cam would let anyone see her on a video with an actual moustache! It must have been pretty obvious it was an optical illusion due to the shadow.
@@melindamercier6811 well Dolly Parton actually had huge boobs naturally and had to have a reduction surgery. But yes, I think her natural boobs looked way too big for her frame!
I so agree about the foxy eyes. I could never put my finger on why looking at Bella Hadid’s face is so strange but it makes sense what your said about the rest of the face not flowing with eyes that are suddenly so slanted.
I have super slanted eyes, but the rest of my face is “made” for them; the thing with Bella, apart from going overboard, is that her original face had a whole other character, a whole other structure made for her big round eyes (which were beautiful IMO). Can you imagine looking in the mirror and being someone else? Amazing what the world has come to -what people are willing to do for “perfection”.
There’s a plastic surgery flaw that I’m surprised most people don’t ketch. I call it facial expression deformity. (There might be a different name for it I’m not in the medical field).A really good example of this is Kyle Jenner. When she smiles with full expression you can really see the weight her face is lifting up and a crowding of tissue. I think it is why the kardashians have a stoic expression in most photos. I really think it’s best to change as little as possible with your face. No hate towards the kardashian/jenners family just something I noticed. I’m always surprised when surgeons refer to her as an example of good plastic surgery but to be fair she has great makeup and most of her photos are edited
Yasss, Kylie looks terrible when she smiles. Her cheeks puff out and her chin looks pointy. No wonder she never posts any pics of herself smiling. Toooo many fillers!
I wholeheartedly agree about the new foxy eye trend. Too much. Some women look gorgeous with hooded, round or downturned eyes. They can look very sexy. One size fits all is definitely not best for every face. Keep up the great work, gorgeous and thank you for your service. 👍😊
I see alot of very unnatural nose jobs around, accompanied by cheek fillers. For some reason, having barbie nose and big, swollen cheeks and lips is a beauty standard now. Good video as always Lorry.
@@stephaniwagner2425 I think cheek fillers look good when they're injected but after a few days hyaluronic accid collects water and gives that look...also injectors suggest you should get your cheeks done when you're doing under eye area...but in my opinion it's not good solution for everyone. A lot of people have this features naturally because of their ethnicity, and it looks very flatering and natural on them. The problem is when people who don't have this feautres naturally so when they get them done it looks very unnatural and out of place.
The same foxy eyes criticism can be said about this lip craze! You literally just saved me from the procedures I wanted to have, jaw and cheek fillers with foxy eyes.
I’m SO happy I found this channel , I found it a few months ago and my self confidence improved incredibly , I feel better and I feel more beautiful than I did before , even though I’m a 18 year old guy it still effects me , thank you so much lorry
I agree wt the uncanny valley feeling when someone gets foxy eyes (when they're not born wt it). And it also makes these girls look too similar to each other esp if they also have obvious lip fillers too. Going easy and lightly wt the tweaking is definitely best to maintain an individual look.
YES!!!! so many girls look the same. i'd rather look unique/original. I consider myself very lucky that the only thing I never liked about myself was my nose and I had it done oh so subtly!! still, even if I needed more I would NEVER follow all of the needless trends to a t!! I have been bleaching my hair for AGES so if you want some color suggestions, just ask!! @Kenzie Huth eyebrow lift may effect the eyes but not too much, usually they do both eye lift and eyebrow lift but eyebrow lift is one of the most important one cause it really change the whole face
Also! It’d be really cool to do an East vs West for plastic surgery. The trends are so different :) I’m asian, and most asian rhinoplasty involves adding to the nose. I once made a comment to a friend about how I wanted a bigger nose and he was like “What! Who ever wants a bigger nose!”. It’d be an interesting video.
Another thing people with a small jaw may need to consider is maxillofacial surgery. Make sure you go to the orthodontist to make sure your issue isn't just aethetic. It could also be a functional problem.
@@incogb6696 the jaw being misplaced/not aligned correctly. Idk the technical term for it. However the surgery is a pretty intense surgery. I’ve been watching a youtubers vlogs of her recovery of jaw alinement surgery and the healing process seems harsh.

You're such a lady! So brave being transparent about your procedures and so brave for going against the grain and speaking about people who get plastic surgery with respect and dignity. You look beautiful in this vid and you're so poised to!
Great video Lorry. Your point on mixing certain features, with features that were never intended to go together is SUCH a great point. Just Bc you like it on some more else, doesn’t mean it will match your ethic phenotype. That’s why you see people with certain work done and you can automatically point it out. This was such a great point.
@@1Skorpia yes, Nicole Kidman changes her face every 3 or 4 years, but i remember that she looked ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS between 2010-2011, more than she did in 2002-2009. But now her eyes and lips look.super weird and she looks like Madonna now.
I was gonna comment on her. I just watched The Undoing & was shocked when I saw her. It was weird bc in alot of scenes it looked like a stand-in, yet the voice was hers. A kind of mind f**k if you will. I always thought she was so pretty & feminine looking, but now she looks like every other older actress who are trying to still keep getting rolls. She went a bit too far, imo. Huge Grant on the other hand has let himself age naturally & is STILL handsome. I prefer natural as each one of the lines have a story. I know mine sure do! Lol!

@@aggs1115 Agree on the typical eye shape(even tho it's not uncommon in all other caucasian ethnicities), cheekbones and size for icelanders, but slavic, scandinavian and germanic populations are not the same and I 100% disagree on the youthful look. Icelanders and scandinavians live in a much different climate than germans or slavs. Germanic orthern caucasians are famous for being the worst at aging, meaning their delicate skin ages faster than mediterranean caucasian's, the slavic populations are particularly known to age fast. 8:44 wondering why you used Stephanie Lange as an example here. She’s a make up artist and shows you how to contour your nose, so it seems smaller. If I’m not mistaken, she actually is against plastic surgery.
i think she just chose a good before and after pic showing that just because a nose is smaller doesn’t mean it fits your face. plus it would be insulting to use someone who actually did get their nose done as an example!
can you please do a video on michael jackson's procedures as well? i feel like he was very controversial for the surgeries he had but many people now blow it way out of proportion and dont consider the many factors that exist for his case. also, great video and you look really pretty :)
Hi Lorry, I love your videos so much! Would you consider doing an ‘anti-aging special’ video? Like if you had different levels of budget and different signs of aging, which treatments would you prioritize? I just turned 50 and have done Botox and fillers from time to time since my early 40’s, I’d love to see a video on stuff like how to address typical signs of aging like sagging, jowling/pre-jowling, wrinkles, upper eyelids, lip wrinkles, neck sagging/wrinkles, etc. I’m definitely not adverse to asking for aesthetic help but oftentimes I don’t know what to ask for, and I’ve found that most Drs don’t keep up to date on all the latest techniques and trends. I have a feeling that you actually know more about techniques than most Drs out there! 😱 take care ❤️
An example of that "foxy eyes outdated thing" for me was FERGIE from The Black Eyed Peas, she was very popular during the first half of the 00's and even tho she IS GORGEOUS she always seems unnatural to me, I realize a little time ago that it was cuz of the foxy eyes from that early time
The brow lift made her look alien-like. I’m not sure how much it was her eyes as it was her full brow lift. She’s still gorgeous but it definitely hardened her features.
Ok, although this is another great vid with great information, what makes this top tier is that it takes a big person to point the finger at themselves too. I’m glad you are not self-absorbed enough to think you are the “epitome of cosmetic perfection” while also not being ashamed of your procedures (and you shouldn’t be bc you look great).
I've never had a plastic surgery and I'm not sure if I'd ever want one but I love watching your videos! They give me so much understanding and respect to people who have done some. Btw. You look beautiful Lorry!! I'm a big fun of yours and of your work!!
Can we talk about how stunning you look? You're glowing! And thanks for making another informative video and always doing lots of research to help others out! ❤️
I respect your honesty talking about the problems you have had with cosmetic procedures. I am also glad you talked about uncanny valley. I am so tired of filler, esp the overdone lip filler.
I am so appreciative of this channel. And the amount of information available , I had been looking into lip fillers and had 0 idea on the different types of fillers and once I did I went back and found the majority of them were Juvederm which I then realised had I had the fillers done I wouldn't have been happy as it wasn't the result I was looking for I just didn't know the difference between them! so thank you for always sharing x
Lorry, you look *particularly fantastic* in this video. It's crazy seeing how your results have been falling into place as time has gone on. I noticed it especially in your expressions, and the movement of your lips and cheeks. Seriously, you look amazing. Great video!
I am so glad that you were honest and forthcoming in this video. I have been warning people about filler for quite a long time now. Not moderate filler, but overdone filler and filler specifically in the face. (It can be very helpful if done in small quantities within the lips.) Every time I mention that filler doesn't go away, and that you are just layering it all over your face when you don't get it dissolved first, someone who has had filler done themselves gets super angry and defensive, then proceeds to tell me I have no idea what I'm talking about and that I'm stupid... Oh well, have fun with a pillow face. Anyway, cheers hun!
I have had more than a few procedures. My 2 regrets I will speak about are getting filler in my top lip. Not so much the duck lip issue but that when I smiled I had less upper tooth show. I hated it! Years ago I had fat injections and they do not last. A waste of time and looking black and blue. Most of all, I regret not having a better surgeon and being less educated than I am now. Lorry, your work is golden. Love you to bits!💕💕💕
Not being able to move your face scares me. Why would you sign up for that? Just wear a mask. 😷 I love how honest you are. Thank you. Gives me a sense of hope for humanity.
I love that you’re talking about this stuff so openly! You’re really helping me to put things into perspective. I always try to listen to dermatologists advice when they say something might look unnatural with fillers if I do too much ..I won’t do it.

She has had several nose jobs. She documented the first one on RHOA. she initially altered her nostrils. This was done in addition to a breast lift and a tummy tuck (If I remember correctly). Over the years she thinned down the bridge and tip of her nose. Like many other housewives, she's no stranger to botox and veneers.

I’m grateful for this channel because it’s so informative & makes me realize that less is more. I’m also wary of modifying my face. I’ve had fillers and botox before, but luckily my social anxiety stopped me from going overboard and becoming a pillow face.
I love your channel! Using yourself as an example shows a lot of confidence and this is why I love your channel. Btw: you do look more natural now. Very beautiful!
That woman you used for the "too small nose-job" example looks like UA-camr Stephanie Lange. If it is, I don't think she has had a nose job, that is just contour.
What would you say for someone like myself- I've never had lip filler, but my upper lip is naturally significantly bigger/fuller than my lower lip. I have had botox (and loved it), and my doctor told me I'd need about half a syringe in my lower lip to achieve a 60/40 look. I always see people say you should never fill just one lip, but I love my upper lip as is. Sometimes I'm just a bit self conscious about my smaller lower lip. Also, I am loving these videos! And you look phenomenal :)
My daughter has lips like that naturally and I think her lips are beautiful. I bet yours are too ❤. She’s only 13 I just hope when she’s older people don’t accuse her of getting filler since her lips are what I see people going for recently 😩. They’re overlining their lips right at the cupids bow too, that’s the natural shape of her lips.
Lorry, thank you so much for your wonderful advice! 💕 as an Asian-American, #5 really resonates with me because I feel that this type of surgery mimics Asian eye shapes. You’re so awesome & your hair is looking gorgeous ✨

I feel llike the nose is hard to make look natural. I love my results. my facial plastic surgeon fixed my broken nose and slightly fixed my tip (smaller) I saw my before photos and and after and so happy with my results. awesome video!
I went sharp as hell with my nose and dramatically shrunk the tip and it looks fantastic on me as I have “sad looking”, beautiful eyes and very long eyelashes

So glad !!
No juvederm can look great in some patients. It depends on your facial anatomy.

I might get something done to my eyes. But I’m half Asian and I feel like it would look more realistic lol

I’m always surprised when surgeons refer to her as an example of good plastic surgery but to be fair she has great makeup and most of her photos are edited

omg thank you for saying filler shouldnt be used to create cheekbones!! I’ve always found it weird!! lorry I am a huge fan of your video and you are the big sister I wish I had!! thank you for offering us such amazing advice. I hope you have a wonderful day ❤️❤️❤️
You are the only woman I have seen that looks FAR better without makeup!! This look REALLY ages you. You are gorgeous!!!💜💜😁
I've seen the man with the pointed jaw, he tries to say he got his jaw that way by chewing on something to build his jaw muscles lmao 🤣🤣
That woman you used for the "too small nose-job" example looks like UA-camr Stephanie Lange. If it is, I don't think she has had a nose job, that is just contour.
Yes! It totally is Stephanie. And yes, in that photo it was just contour.
Yah thats Stephanie Lange and it's very obviously contour
as an Asian-American, #5 really resonates with me because I feel that this type of surgery mimics Asian eye shapes.
You’re so awesome & your hair is looking gorgeous ✨
Aww thanks 🙏🏻
Just FYI, there are also some African ethnic groups that have naturally upswept almond or "foxy" eyes.☺️✌️
@@Prismatic_Truth I’ve noticed that! And they look absolutely rly beautiful!
Me who already looks fake even without plastic surgery: 👁️👄👁️
goals
IM SCREAMING
😂
sucks for you
I don’t want to invade your privacy but I feel like I have to see pictures because I have no clue what you mean lmao. Like are you super pretty or something??
I’m so happy you finally let us know who your plastic surgeon was for your face lift. I’m in SF and I was thinking of going to South Korea for a possible face lift. I am so lucky to be in the same city where Dr. Marten is . I might give him a call for consultation.
@Eunoia Flowers , that’s why I’m going for a consultation, will ask for pictures of his works on Asian faces.
I was planning to go for foxy eyes surgery, thanks for the advice and "opening my eyes" Im reconsidering it now.
Of course 😊
Please don’t :( they look hideous in my opinion
At least one must recognize that LORRY HILL is honest and brave, not to mention well-informed. I like that in her! Thank you! Lorry. Please don't do anymore surgeries on yourself; you look natural and beautiful right now! (Nov. 18, 2020)
Aww thank you 💗
Lorry can you please do V of BTS
Cause he seems so perfect and I really wanna know🤔.
Jimin as well!!!
PLEASE DO V
I have been impatiently waiting on you 😊❤️
I feel llike the nose is hard to make look natural. I love my results. my facial plastic surgeon fixed my broken nose and slightly fixed my tip (smaller) I saw my before photos and and after and so happy with my results. awesome video!
who was your surgeon?
I went sharp as hell with my nose and dramatically shrunk the tip and it looks fantastic on me as I have “sad looking”, beautiful eyes and very long eyelashes
I love how honest and positive to you are.
What r ppl talking about!!!! You look gorgeous in every video 😍😍😍
