Dr. Marten is truly an artist. His work is so natural, so beautiful. His job is accentuating natural beauty, and not creating a generic-looking person. I'm so in love and although I'm young (23) and currently have no plans of doing a facelift, it is so helpful to see the whole process and a real-deal when it comes to recovery. You're beautiful and I'm so looking forward to your future videos 😊❤
Out of all the celebrities she covered in her videos, Laury definitely stands out. She kept some unique features that are usually destroyed by "standard" plastic surgery that make everyone look the same and "plastic". Laury is the embodiment of "enhancing natural traits".
Wow girl thank you for putting yourself out there and being so vulnerable! I appreciate your honesty and vulnerability with this. As someone who plans to get one in about 7-10 years I found this to be very helpful. Also wow I would have NEVER guessed your age!!!!
You look awesome! I told my husband before we got married that the one thing I will be saving money for is a necklift and facelift when I'm 40. 15 years of marriage later, and I've got 4 years to go till 40 now, and I can't wait! The only thing I worry about is looking different or too tight. I'll Be researching like crazy. Thanks for making me feel better about getting this done! You're an amazing woman.
I know the feeling about being a "bother" for an 8 hour surgery, thankful for a great medical team. However my surgery is because of a very bad bicycle accident. I hit a huge pothole flew over my handlebar and face forward straight into the sidewalk. I could have died or become a vegetable. My surgeon confirmed this. Thing is, had I hit the side of head (temple) I surely would not be alive or able person today. My face took the hit (which is said to be the good thing) I suffered a lot. Had my full jaw broken , the 4 mandibles . I had to have my jaw rebooked to insure a better inclusion . I looked like a monster several times (with each surgery) and it was very hard to go through this again, so swollen , just like you are in this video. My surgeries were so I could eat and not just soup for the rest of my life. I went through it all...with a sense of humour as best I could. I'm alive and that is what I am thankful for.
I feel like early 30s is soooo young to get a face lift, all those ones looked fine to me in their before. But the transformations in the 40s+ group were amazing.
She said to start SAVIng the money for the facelift in your 30s. Get it before anyone realizes you need it. 🥰 It remains subtle and heals more quickly.
hello ! i was wondering how your husband felt about the surgeries you've gone through. has he been supportive ? does he ever tell you he doesn't want you to do it ? I'd love a video about the subject !
I'm guessing that he's very supportive in a number of ways. I don't know whether or not they have kids, but these surgeries cost a lot of money and there's evidently a lot of down time needed for recovery so the fact that she's able to do them means that he's got things on lock.
You are so brave and so generous in giving back information and education to people who are curious but don't have access to what goes through and things to consider before a plastic surgery can be done (sorry my english is bad) but you're truly beautiful inside and out. Not many are THIS honest and transparent enough to themselves much more to the people around them
I don't think I could ever do this due to low pain tolerance. It's great that people are showing a REALISTIC view of what having face lift is like and what it can do. I think you look great!
Goodness, this was honest! I always think people don't need these things but the results are great. I have to say I am not a fan of plastic but your channel delivers the most peaceful and respectful commentary on plastic surgery in our culture. And it's done with such compassion, I keep watching a lot of videos.
I can't wait until when I can start getting a few things done. I love how you normalize not only going after what you want, but also being wise and doing your research.
This isnt in my personal realm ( I dont even wear makeup) and I am terrified of surgery but i find your videos very logical, honest and open. Thanks for the facelift knowledge. Glad your healing process seems to be going smoothly

Thank you so much for this video Lorry ❤️ I had a rhinoplasty 7 years ago and I remember the week after surgery being so hard mentally and physically. I can’t imagine my whole neck and face being in pain and swollen, you are so strong for recording for us every day and showing us what your experience was like post-op. This was so informative not only about face lifts but about what the week or two post-op really look like.
You are a very brave person to undergo such extensive surgery. Did you show pictures of your before pictures? Your results were outstanding. Manor kudos to your surgeon
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to afford this, but I do feel some sort of happiness to see people that can. You seem happy and at peace with your decisions. I feel like I relate to your recovery, after my health surgeries I went through similar emotional steps. 🤗 thank you for putting this on the internet for other people to see. You are such a beautiful human. 🖤
I really appreciate you talking about how hard the surgery recovery process can be, both physically and emotionally ❤️ I had lower jaw surgery a few years ago and I felt like the boredom and feeling of helplessness were way worse than the physical pain
Langeweile? Langeweile ist viel besser als dauernd für die Familie kochen und Hausarbeit machen zu müssen in diesem Zustand. Und dann noch ein Chef das immer anruft wann man wieder gesund ist um arbeiten zu kriegen kommen.
You are a role model for being honest and open about all your surgeries and are very secure within yourself to know what you like and know you will be judged but are open and honest anyways.
I love that you revealed yourself while healing! Your vulnerability and sweetness is so apparent. I thought you said "I love you guys." when you first woke up... that is totally me when I woke up from my surgery on meds! Even all swollen with bedhead you are adorable, I just really appreciate you sharing this with us. As for the post-surgery regret, and wondering what people/relatives will think of you, oh my gosh that's so true. Wow I’m 42 and having the same issues exactly (if they are even issues) with my skin and look at you make me feel i want a facelift cause i love your results its just scary to hear how long it takes to heal.
Thanks for showing us your experience. I had a breast augmentation and after that I’m never doing another plastic surgery lol. It took me a full year to recover. And, I know that in 10 years I’ll have to replace or remove them. I don’t recommend plastic surgery. But, people still do what they want. I learned from experience.

I think the days immediately after, you look surprisingly better than I'd have imagined! Especially after an 8 hour surgery. Thank you for sharing your journey
I had my facelift 6 weeks ago. Honestly, the first week, I regretted it, I was swollen and in pain (staying at my sister's house with her dreadful husband, and chaotic night and day which did not help, they are very dramatic people). However, 6 weeks on I can really see the results and I am so pleased. Sitting here with ice pods on in my face support to assist with healing.
My mom had a facelift when she was 50 and I was 18. I found it incredibly traumatic to see my mom with the swelling and bruising, it looked like someone beat my mom up. Seeing this video somewhat triggered that within. I completely understand why she had it, but it definitely impacted me in wanting to get surgery done on myself. I’m glad I didn’t because I ended up aging into my 30s with really nice features, but I would definitely look at getting procedures done when I’m older. I think parents don’t have enough conversations with their kids about their plastic surgery beforehand. Your kid is going to notice your reshaping. I think it’s important to talk to them about what’s a healthy image and how we perceive ourselves as beautiful. My mom did it took not look as much her age, not as much to alter her facial contouring, but if she had I think it would have deepened my complex about feeling satisfied with my own looks.
My kids are still very young, but I've been making mental plans that if I ever get a facelift I'd wait until they go off to college in the fall. So I'd be all healed up by the time I saw them again in a month or two lol
@@emmagatewood3898 I think talk to them about it. Do it while they’re gone, but have a really in-depth conversation about the pressures you feel and your hopes for the future, etc.
😮 yes my mom had a facelift when she was in her 50’s or 60,s I had to clean all the staples, clean the drains, bandages 😢 it really freaked me out, it’s important to have a good doctor because this is no joke. My friend Valarie, and I still to this day remember my little mama looking like she had been through a meat grinder 😢 I’m now 50 it’s crept into my mind, but 💥 just like that I remember my little mama’s surgery all she did was moan, cry, but Thanks to me she didn’t remember anything 😊 I would do it if I was really self conscious about something, guess I’m lucky to have good genes 🧬 because it’s definitely rough, probably a lot better now then 30 years ago. I hope so anyway..
Thank you for all your input. It's really helpful to have the view from the patient's perspective as well as to see the evolution of the surgery process. Surgeons usually do not provide full info and images as you do. I believe your testimony is essential; it is what we are looking for and what we need to decide about which options to undergo.
Hey Lorry! I dont think I would ever get a facelift, I wanna age naturally. However, I do love how you discuss plastic surgery so positively! I honestly dont mind women getting one as long as its safe so posting videos like these helps more women go under the knife safely. You look really beautiful and I wouldnt have thought you were 43!
I love that your surgeon went for ambiguous/indeterminable age, rather than the goal of just taking years off. You look fantastic and like you won the genetic lottery rather than having a whole gosh darn face lift! So impressive.
This was very personal and honest. Thank you for sharing and taking us with you on your journey. Although I would never do this myself, I still enjoy watching you and learning ❤️ Your transparency and beauty shines from within ✨

I love how transparent you are Lori, I wish all celebrities were transparent about the work they got done.
Your personality ✨SPARKLES✨ even more in this type of vid when you’re talking naturally to the camera, maybe not as scripted. Just a stunning beauty inside & out 💖
Aww thanks so much !!
The face lift looks great Lorry! And omg I thought that you were in your early 30s. You look amazing for your age.
thank you!
I also thought she was in her 30s
Same! 35 max
When I read: You look good for your age, i always think how the designer Jean- Paul Gaultier would get annoyed. He always said age is not in the equation, either you look good or you don't 😉 His words not mine and yes, Lorry looks beautiful and such a likeable personality.
Thanks Lorry, Love seeing your journey and your honesty. Male, 59 and Im going in for a lower face and neck lift next week. Your videos have been very helpful here. Thank You and you look fabulous!
So glad ! Happy healing !
How is your recovery? Are you happy with your results?
Wow, I am 43 and think well I thought I would do this in my mid 50s and I thought that was starting early.🤷🏻♀️
It’s good to know I will need mandatory help for at least 1 whole week and I didn’t realize surgery was that lengthy, WoW.
Thank you for clarifying and opening my eyes. 👏🏻
Kuddos to you for doing this and for having a supportive husband and God bless your mother-in-law.
Yes it’s definitely a journey but a good one !
I love that you showed the recovery process. When you just see the before and after you really miss the full scope of the situation that helps you make a fully formed decision.
I’m so glad you did these videos. I keep watching them over and over. You’re beautiful!

Nothing wrong with that! I knew at your age I was going under the knife at some point. I have a full round face despite being of normal weight so when it started to slide I had it corrected. Hopefully when you are ready in 30 years and if you decide, there will be newer options with faster recovery. Cheers!

I adore you!!! I got so upset when you said 'Im ready for the mean comments'. How cruel can people be ???? Why would anyone say anything mean or negative to you??? You are stunning, great personality and have a wonderful channel!!! Keep it up!!!!
I appreciate your sweet comment; thank you ❤️❤️🩹
Aww that’s very sweet; thank you
Wow girl thank you for putting yourself out there and being so vulnerable!

Wish you the best! And I agree humor is quite a good medicine for my soul also.🌻
I feel like early 30s is soooo young to get a face lift, all those ones looked fine to me in their before. But the transformations in the 40s+ group were amazing.
She said to start SAVIng the money for the facelift in your 30s. Get it before anyone realizes you need it. 🥰 It remains subtle and heals more quickly.

@@kaseyc1350 she’s referring to the before and after photos that lorry showed of anonymous individuals.
hello ! i was wondering how your husband felt about the surgeries you've gone through. has he been supportive ? does he ever tell you he doesn't want you to do it ?
I'd love a video about the subject !
I'm guessing that he's very supportive in a number of ways. I don't know whether or not they have kids, but these surgeries cost a lot of money and there's evidently a lot of down time needed for recovery so the fact that she's able to do them means that he's got things on lock.
You are so brave and so generous in giving back information and education to people who are curious but don't have access to what goes through and things to consider before a plastic surgery can be done (sorry my english is bad) but you're truly beautiful inside and out. Not many are THIS honest and transparent enough to themselves much more to the people around them
These black screen transitions give me anxiety.

I don't think I could ever do this due to low pain tolerance. It's great that people are showing a REALISTIC view of what having face lift is like and what it can do.

You are a role model for being honest and open about all your surgeries and are very secure within yourself to know what you like and know you will be judged but are open and honest anyways.
I love that you revealed yourself while healing! Your vulnerability and sweetness is so apparent. Wow I’m 42 and having the same issues exactly (if they are even issues) with my skin and look at you make me feel i want a facelift cause i love your results its just scary to hear how long it takes to heal.
Yeah it’s a long recovery
Skin issues do not always require a facelift. A co2 laser can work wonders.

This is crazy. Thanks for posting. I was considering this but you have cured me of that foolish notion🎉🎉
So I'd be all healed up by the time I saw them again in a month or two lol
same for me, mum had one, and it really affected me. made me feel like i will have toget one one day, as beauty is so valued in a woman.
