- The third and final starter joins the party today in our Pokemon Crystal solo challenge runs. The other two are top tier but grass...it has some problems. Can this bulky dino overcome the odds or are things just too stacked?

🍤 Solo Run Rules: 🍤
►I can only use the title Pokemon in battle. No switching at all, HM Pokemon are required.
►No use of items in battle. Potions, TMs, etc. are allowed outside of battle.
►No use of skips/exploits.
►The TMs for Double Team and Curse are banned. As a result, I time runs at Blue and see what a Pokemon needs to make the Red fight consistent without resorting to boring strategies.
►I play on x4 speed and use real time for these runs along with consideration on how the Red fight went.

Just reminding me I have to fix my crystal cartridges
Pour some sodie pop into it.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 probably fix all the bugs lol bugsy would not like that
@@MazterP28hold up how would you fix a crystal cartridge because I got mine laying around and it doesn't keep a save for some reason

@@nautgamingnautgaming9949 you got a replace the battery which the batteries not expensive but you might have to solder it meaning you have to take out a few things
You know that you're the realest one, BROTHER! Loving the gen 2 content, as always.
I appreciate that!
26:49 Oh no, Meganium, you’re spilling the soft sand!
I appreciate you putting the held items on the sprite.
I need to draw some custom ones. I've been meaning to redo stream emotes for like 2 months but life is busy and I want to work on the content rather than really little things.
The Chikorita line has always been one of my all time favorites. Thanks for giving them a shot. Could be fun to see a series looking at the times for all final starter evos to go through RBY as a comparison.
We've done a couple cross gen starters in gen 1 but towards the end of the year I want to redo Charizard, get Blastoise and Venusaur in there, then go from there.

Appreciate that, brother.

CHUCK, BROTHER!!!!!
The kanto level curve does make sense in that the gym leaders aren't stronger than lance except for blue who beat lance and jasmin is the newest gym leader therefore the lowest level
Sure it makes sense in a real life/lore type of way and I’ve mentioned that several times in my videos. Where it falls short is as an actual video game and it starts falling short by the time you beat Whitney and never really gets it back. The post game is so bad in the sense that nothing is a challenge and you just sleepwalk until you are 8 badges in and even then it’s about the same as everything you’ve already fought.
Where it’s at it’s worst is Red though. There’s a reason every other channel just uses curse and return. Either you spend the entire game training for Red, making a game overflowing with fights you overlevel anyway even more easy, or you do what I do and time the Blue fight and do Red later.
Love gen 2 but it’s deeply flawed.
Gym leader Matt, I would love to be named as returning subscriber... ❤ you're my favorite gym leader. 🎉🎉🎉
There's thousands of people in line but I've been prioritizing memebers/patreons for a while now. We are like halfway through. Maybe in 2026 or something.
@GymLeaderMatt1987 awwww thanks for responding. I'll be there someday... when, not if, I become a millionaire.
That's the attitude.
I do wonder if Hidden Power Ice would just be better if you were looking just to make Lance easier without having to make a concession to Red. Charizard isn't that bulky but in fairness it might not get 2HKO'd by Return. Obviously with Red I think you probably need Hidden Power Rock but it's something to think about at least. The time is definitely fair though, Meganium isn't bad by any stretch but the early game is just rough.
I've done a Chikorita/Meganium solo in HGSS and would you believe that Scyther in these games is honestly easy mode? In HGSS, Scyther really likes using Leer and Focus Energy and U-Turn is just a better Bug move all things said, the fight kind of constantly comes down to whether Bugsy just crits you and ends your life immediately.
It would one shot the Dragonites but it's kind of a pick your poison situation. Rock has utility for more fights overall though I think but they are essentially side grades.
Meganium always gets a bad rap because it isn't as good as Typhlosion or Feraligatr, but Earthquake makes it fairly unique among Grass starters (that don't have a Ground subtyping) and solid overall despite a quite shallow movepool. Out of curiosity, did you consider Synthesis? Also, is it against your rules to put Pokemon in the daycare to get rid of HM moves?
Sure but you need Headbut, Mud Slap, and Razor Leaf after Bugsy. As for the Daycare, it's not banned, but it would be ridiculously slow and doesn't solve any problems with the run.
*sigh* Meganium and the Johto region - is there a worse pairing in pokémon?
I remember being a little kid and being the guy with the grass starter and my brother being the guy with the fire starter - I literally got so frustrated with Chikorita/Bayleef being shit against Falkner, the rival and Bugsy to the point I begged my brother to swap starters with me - and the change stuck, and 25 years later, I'm still the fire starter guy and my brother the grass starter guy.
In general, never got why so many grass starters don't gain a second type - fire has a lot of resistances and important strengths and water is one of the best types in the game, so them staying monotype isn't such a problem, but grass types tend to fulfill a niche in competitive pokémon that often doesn't lend itself as well to ingame playthroughs, and it really hurts the grass starters, with arguably the starters with the worst matchups with any region and its important trainers in-story all being grass-type starters.
Not to mention that Johto in general is a catastrophy for TM-dependent pokémon because like, 90% of the good ones are all locked behind the post-game in Kanto.
For sure. Bugsy was the worst part of the game. If it was any easier at all, it probably could have cut 10~ minutes off the run and it would be in line with other starters in terms of time but the extra grinding and using cut made a little slow.
I think it's like a B tier Pokemon. There are a lot worse runs and I've even done a few. Igglybuff was the worst by far but it's a little sloppy.
I picked meganium for my very first pokemon run ever, back before I could barely read. When i got promoted to give him a nickname i picked "John" lmaoo
Lmao, John and you went through hell and back.
The whole slate of Johto gym leaders (and even the E4 too!) feels like it's biased against the Chikorita line. No surprise that it has to overlevel against Bugsy.
You could squeak through at level 20 but it just didn't feel good. If this were generation 1, I'd consider just taking some resets but since the ruleset is different for gen 2, I felt this was the best way to do it.
Not a bad run for Meganium, but Meganium isn't a Real1. I was and am happy with my original choice as a kid: Feraligatr.
Every Pokémon is a real one!
I remember not liking Chikorita as a kid but could never remember why. But now i remember that its beacuse he was not as strong as the other 2 and less fun. Loved that you did it still to show the 3 starters and how they all fair.
It’ll still be better than most, just not in that upper echelon.
As a lone pokemon player in my teenage days, i used to play these games at least 3 times. Each to try a starter, meganium's line was so weird in the gn 2 because of all the resists there was and i prefered typhlosion overall. Now i'm wondering which grass starter would be the fastest to complete this game with their gen 9 movepool (egg move included), but only a real one like me would ask this
Power creep would definitely improve them. Just like the cross gen runs I do for gen 1.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 yeah True they really got better with the gens. most notably the 9th one imo.
I think even gen 2 improved some but for me gen 7/8 is where they got really great. I use gen 7/8 for most playthroughs.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 i didn't play gen 8 so i can't tell. that's the only gen i didn't play

That run did better than I thought it would. Nice play skill as usual.
Yea, this one took a while. Gen 2 runs are more prone to mistakes and it's a little grating.

I'd say the better way to do predictions for my Crystal runs would be to do a time prediction at Blue then a Red level.

It's gonna be worst of the 3. isn't it ?
It’s not that it’s the worst, it’s just the other two are exceptional.
Its pure crap and even in the Gold and Silver remake games Chikorita still sucks IMHO the only good Grass Gen 2 pokemon that doesn't suck IMHO is again Bulbasaur.

Grass types have things tough in Johto: flying, bug, ghost/poison, ice, steel, & dragon gym leaders make it harder for grass types & lead to early grinds
The start is stacked against. Mainly because of Scyther. That one wasn't great.
Johto is absolutely brutal for the grass type starter. The only Pokémon it is super effective against without them having SE damage against it are Chuck's Poliwrath, Will's Slowbro and Bruno's Onix (Pryce's Pokémon also all are weak to grass, but all pack ice moves).
Yeah, all gyms except Whitney, Chuck and Pryce resist it, and Pryce is a double-edged sword, as mentioned. In the E4, Will's pokés either resist it or have SE damage against it aside from Slowbro. Koga's team is chock-full of poison/bug/flying. Bruno's fighting types are mostly neutral. Karen's mons all resist it aside from Umbreon, and Lance has all flying types.
Not to mention team rocket mostly uses poison types, and even your rival doesn't build his team around the starter choice, but has a Gengar, Golbat, the starter and Magneton to resist it while Sneasel and Kadabra are mostly neutral (Sneasel has no STAB SE move, only fury cutter).
I don't think there's a starter with such an abysmal matchup against the major trainers in the entire series as Meganium vs. Johto.
It getting a fairy typing, as requested by many, would've helped so much - poison dumpstered it already anyways and Steel resisted it already (with only Jasmine and Koga's Forretress being steel types), so its weaknesses wouldn't have gotten worse, but it would've gained useful STAB against Chuck's Primeape, Clair, Bruno's fighting types, Karen's Umbreon and Murkrow and Lance's Dragonites.
@DebbyHasKitties Oh yeah, the irony of gaining Fighting just to run into a super fighting-unfriendly endgame. Also, Wikstrom actually also isn't as free - Out of his 4 pokés, Klefki is neutral with fairy and can hif back, Scizor is neutral with Bug, and Aegislash is immune with Ghost. While it imo is still not as bad as Meganium, it definitely has the worst case of a secondary type backfire among all starters.

Thx Matt
Thanks for watching!
My first time through Pokemon Silver back when it first came out was as Chikorita. My brain back then was like, 'well obviously, Rock, Water, Electricity ... it'll be great, just like in Red!"
Then I learned the typings of the gyms changed around and I was in for a world of pain.
Great early, haha. Grass isn’t too great in gen 1 either because a lot of key stuff resist it and all but Tangela are weak to psychic which is an awful weakness to have. Meganium would do alright in gen 1 I think.
CHUCK!!! BROTHER! HIS POLIWRATH AINT GONNA KNOW WHAT HIT IT HOSS.
A leaf of the razor variety.

Poor Meg. It doesn't quite hold up.
1h 19m isn't bad! We'll look back on this run as being pretty solid.
I'm about to grab myself a sodie pop
Perfect.
The pink bow on meganium was just fantastic. Great vid as always, never thought of how rough meganium had it in the early game and against Lance.
Sometimes I wonder if it's worth the extra worth to have 3 separate sprites for 3 different health ranges, held item custom images, and, for gen 1, a crown when you beat the champion that all show up dynamically when certain criteria is met in the software but I'm always glad people notice.
The held items are a little hard to ignore and they are great but the hurt sprite/faint sprite I wonder about. I think the first video they showed up on was Voltorb a long time ago and I only got comments about it because I pointed it out. It's been like 6 months and I don't think many care about the sprites.
I'm a real one and i'm pretty happy about it.

Hi.
It's here! I'm hoping for another strong time for a starter. As a kid, I just never found it in me to play the grass-starters, hoping this video will change that for me!
Yea I'm interested in Venusaur eventually as well. This one was as expected. Slow start, pulled it through with a solid run in the end.
Me realizing that your sprite change their facial expressions and what item they’re holding. These types of details are much appreciated.
Appreciate you noticing! The held items get brought up and they are great but the damage sprites go unnoticed a lot!
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 I appreciate the hard work you put into your channel.❤️
Somebody’s gotta do it!
Real one. Do you think it would have made a meaningful difference in the final time if you didn't have to learn Cut for Bugsy?
Like if you used tackle only? Yea you are prob talking about level 25 and an extra 10 minutes.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 Sorry, didn't phrase that quite right. Let's say theoretically that Cut wasn't an HM and you could replace it with another move after Bugsy. How much of a difference do you think that could have made?
Oh, Meganium has a really shallow move pool. I guess you’d keep synthesis and could recover lost fights but the resets I had were just bad luck so the difference wouldn’t be much at all. You’d be safer and not have to use the move tutor so maybe it would save like 30 seconds to a minute.
Love me some flower dinosaur
Yea, even though initial comments were just telling me how bad it is lmao. Imagine that every Pokémon can’t beat the game in 40 minutes. Crazy.

I would love seeing more runs outside of gen 1. Your content is great nonetheless! Keep it up man
I got a playlist for Crystal. The main thing is that it takes so long to plan/get through and took me so long to 'get gud' at it that I'm worried about adding a third/fourth game to the rotation. Like I'm 2+ years in and I think we're at 56 quality ranked Gen 1 Pokemon out of 151! It's taking forever to reach my goals lol.
But, yes, one day, I'd like to hunker down, really learn Emerald, and create an overlay for it but I simply don't have the time for the foreseeable future.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 I look forward to it! You're a talented creator and definitely deserve a larger following. It's also nice to see creators who interact with people who enjoy their content. Thanks for the reply

I don't know if your videos are still not performing as well as you'd like but I want to let you know that I still enjoy them. Cleaning up garbage and cigarette butts off the parking lot isn't the same without your videos to listen to lol
Thanks! Yea I enjoy making them, things are just a little stagnant. We'll see how I feel in a couple of months but grinding just doesn't feel like the right choice lately. I think spending a few weeks on a big project with a lot of polish might just be a better solution for growth rather than doing the same strategy but this is the last of my backlog from the beginning of Summer so we'll see.

people really overstate how defensive meganium is.
after allll the solo runs of first stage pokemon I've watched, 80 in offensive stats is like the least of MANY pokemons' problems.
How can you overstate it if it’s highest stats are defense and special defense? They are 25% higher than it’s other stats lol.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 nah, but you can obscure or overly catastrophize over it(80 in offenses is just kinda mid, but it's 80 in both so it can be a mixed brawler). You didn't, it was just kind of a general comment.
The Pokemon is slower than others but has plenty to do the job it needs to.
For sure. It can beat the game but every Pokemon can with few exceptions. That's why I stopped with the obnoxious 'can you beat' titles because 'how fast' is a more accurate representation of what I'm trying to do. It has great stats, great experience group, and can roll after the slower start.
But it IS bulky though. There were some surprising moments where I was just like 'this think is BEEFY' in the playthrough. The Karen fight against the high special Houndoom Flamethrower is the best example of this thick dino just not caring.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 oh I cracked up watching it soak that
Really, you hit the nail on the head with the real slowdown issues(mono-grass needs a good coverage move in early gen 2 or it WILL have a rough start), and Cut's not a bad solution to the problem. It just needed one fallback move to neutrally brute force through things when it's main kit is either quad resisted or outright immune.
Yea, everything is against you in the early game, especially if you pick the super effective starter on the Rival team. It's not a crazy challenge but in a speedrun, the time investment to overcome the challenges is just too much to be an elite run.
I like meganium
Same. Took me a while to get a route I was happy with.

I love meganium, I'll always try and make it work! Not long ago, with a gameshark, I gave a chikorita access to growth in silver, and it changes so much
Oh yea. I'm sure Igglybuff would look a lot stronger too if I gave it Swords Dance lmao.
Hell yeah! I've been looking for this kind of content for years. I'd love to see a Miraidon and Koraidon going through gen 1 and gen 2. Keep up the great work!
Nice. There are several other much bigger channels than mine that do the same sort of thing. Slightly different rules, same broad idea.
Curious how this one turns out, more type disadvantages with the gym leader, reflect can help.
Far as designs go I always felt the chikorita line was the least detailed
I like the bulky bronto. It just has things stacked against it early but it turned out a solid run. Not as bad as something like Steelix but not as refined as some of the others.
Did you try out Synthesis on any of your test runs? It might not have made the run any faster, but it could have avoided both of those resets at least.
It was just one of those unfortunate 'when you hit record' type things for the resets. You essentially have 3 moves past Bugsy and Headbutt, Mudslap, and Razor Leaf are just too good to replace at that point without sacrificing a lot. You are right, it could essentially make you avoid all the resets but the cost would be similar to the times I was getting before I retooled the entire run.
That cute green dino did better than I thought it was gonna I was sure at blue you'd already be over 1:30 and closer to 2 hours
The start is pretty bad but the rest is exaggerated. When you clear the Bugsy hurdle, you can just sort of win everything and in matchups where you don't one shot, you can outbulk.
I really like your mindset and the good vibes you send, I also appreciate ur explanations
It's been a big thing for me to remain positive, try to tone down any negativity, and generally have that PMA (positive mental attitude) this year. Things are stressful irl for me personally and I know they are for others as well. I'd like to be a form of positivity rather than just being meme-y and negative.
I love that the Pokemon hold/wear the items like pink bow on its head and eating leftovers its a nice touch and as always you are a real one brother
Yea, that's my favorite part. I just custom make the items and let the code do the rest.
I will only subscribe if you do a metagross solo run. (Gen 1 or 2) nobody done it yet so I gotta see. *YOU PICK ONLY ONE ANY MOVE IN ITS POOL OF YOUR CHOICE*
PS - Do the Reggie Trio’s as well, Please? (Gen 1 or 2 as well)❤️
Regigigas is in the pipeline. Meta gross is a good choice as well but it’ll be a while.
I will never understand why they didn't give Meganium leach seed. It would be perfect for a bulky pokemon like that
Sleep powder is the real crime!
Chikorita and its evolutions were pretty fun to have in my GSC days. I kinda liked how defense-oriented they are, though it's a shame they don't do as well as one might hope in solo runs. That, and I feel like I've taken a liking to whatever the "hard mode" starter is these days, having warmed to up Charmander. No pun intended.
For all its effort though, Meganium is totally a REAL ONE. Though I'm gonna miss the chill rainy tunnel footage at the end of your videos.
Yea I like it a good bit design-wise but just like with gen 1, not every Pokémon can be this high ranking monster.
As for the outtro, I’m just figuring out a solution to view percentage. I good video can have like 35% after the elite 4 and it just plummets towards the end, especially during the outtro. I’m trying to figure out ways to get into the video quick and get out of the video quick and leave the middle to explain everything I need to.
I honestly miss this game. I remember being a preteen grinding the E4 to get my team to level 100. I had hundreds of E4 clears on that poor game.
100s upon 100s in all the games for me. Whether it be grinding the E4 for money to max out stat experience in gen 1, or just leveling up stuff in gen 2. I remember kids duplicating candies to get fast level ups and I was like did you not read Blaine's quiz??? Gotta use the vitamins first and switch train in the E4 for true power.
@GymLeaderMatt1987 it was my primer game before I got Sapphire and REALLY went down the rabbit hole lol. Unfortunately I never had any friends that also played so I couldn't get trade evolutions until I got my GameCube with the cartridge reader.
Yea that's when Emerald came through to me. Most people I knew didn't play and the battle tower really gave me endless content and things to do lol.
@GymLeaderMatt1987 I found my emerald the other day and I had so many legendary duplicates because every time I beat Sapphire, Ruby, or Colosseum I would trade them over and reset. It plays for like 5 minutes then freezes unfortunately
Could be an internal battery problem but I'm not great at diagnosing actual game hardware.
I think meganium could do really well in an emerald run. Johtos major battles set up is so bad for it and even though it's a decent grass type people only remember it for bad it was for gen 2. Even though it's not actually bad at all.
I'd say it's fairly common to judge the Pokemon in the game it started in. I'm sure it's a little better in some other gens that don't start with the deck stacked against you, but that's for someone else to test out. I can only judge it on Pokemon Crystal and it wasn't bad, just not great.
Crystal would have been a perfect game if the Kanto gyms were on a normal level progression and if you could rebattle the elite 4 again with lv 80s and then red having his levels slightly up
If they just kept a steady climb from the elite 4 to Blue then it wouldn’t be so bad. You’d be in the 70s on non slow leveling group Pokémon and no grinding would be required. Also, add like 20+ levels on the trainers.
My New Orleans Saints are the Real Ones, 2023 NFC South Champions! Who dat?!

Edit: what happened to the intro bro?
What?
Your gym leader Matt intro bud
Oh, it died. Lol, idk what you want me to say. It's been a couple of videos since I used it. Just mixing things up and testing new things as usual.
How many resets are acceptable?
If you're going for consistency you may as well decide on what's acceptable first.
Or are you going for speed? Going for both is just a weird concept to begin with.
If you think speed and consistency at the same time is weird, then stay away from speedrunning. All the top players use consistent strats you can practice.
For myself on Crystal, consistency takes a little bit of a lead. I don’t have the time to play a risky strat 5-6 times and I’d like map out a route I can do with a run or two of practice. It mainly comes down to time restraints for me with a busy irl schedule.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 I think you missed the point you could allow infinite resets though and use an inconsistent strat for a better time.
Like cheesing metronome and fishing for perfect rolls
Meganium is going to struggle against blaine....
Lmao! Kanto so tough.
Another fun one, great work 👍🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
I beg noivern decimates this if it gets outrage
This as in Meganium? I mean, probably.
Real one. Meganium was always my favourite gen 2 starter. After a bit rocky early game towards the end shes not that bad.
Bruh , meganium is literally the absolute worst starter out of literally all the starters lol
Yea, not too bad after the first couple of gyms but the start is pretty brutal for something with this leveling group and stats.
It is in the Gen 1 games where Chikorita is PURE crap though that didn't really change with the Gold/Silver DS remake where Chikorita is still sucks.
Yeah Chikorita line obviously has the weakest type mach up and performance from all the starters in this game but I just love the design. :) @@steezuskryst7201
@jussioman Agreed. I find that the more videos I release, the more negativity in terms of things like 'it's so bad' or 'this Pokemon is trash' comes out when the ultimate goal is to just play them, experience it for myself, and give everything a fair/unbiased shot.
It's not about being great, bad, or someone constantly telling me this or that is bad. It's about the journey. I think the fundamental thing people forget is that EVERY Pokemon is someone's favorite. When I do a run, I don't want to make fun of the design or talk constantly about the negatives. If there's some positives, let's cover it, and the person that likes Meganium, in this case, will be happy with that and that makes me happy in return.
If you only got the tm for tombstoner, you could have beaten bugsy at level 16
Ground move? Resisted by bug type? Flying typing being immune to it? I just don't think it would help too much, brother.
Lollll the only ground move that can always hit a flying type and 100 % crit chance. Banned from tournaments for a good reason
Megaze on these comments
The slander?
I'm just confounded by Meganium's level 50 stats, it has 138 sp.atk and 140 sp.def, ina game that works with one IV special stat and stat experience that should be more or less evenly distributed.
Even if the base stats are different?
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 yes, game freak split the special stat in two but both share the same IV and EV, kind of as if in gen 1.
Regardless of if the IVs, stat experience, and things like Calciums still giving both, each Pokemon still has actual base stats that are different. They don't share that stat in that regard. Meganium has it's own base special attack and defense. The defense is higher, thus the number is a little higher.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 yes, Meganium's base special stats are 83 and 100 respectively, a difference of 17. Both increase by the addition of IVs and EVs, that they share. Regardless of what I do in stat calculators, that 17 stat difference should remain at level 50. That's the weird part.
Oh, I looked into it. If you look at some levels, it's the 14~% difference it's supposed to be but there's a known gen 2 bug with the special defense badge boost in certain cases where it just doesn't work. That's where special attack nearly makes up the 14% differences in some areas.
Yes, I have the bug accounted for in the code and reflect it in the stats. Essentially, the Glacier Badge doesn't boost Sp. Def. if Sp. Atk. is in the ranges 0-205 or 433-660. Sorry I didn't think of it earlier but most of the time it just doesn't work outside of 206-432 special attack lol.
Chikorita is still PURE crap so Meganium still sucks UNLESS you hack It into the game ie NOT starting the game with Chikorita.
Man, if 1h 19m to Blue is pure crap, I don't even want to know what like the 75 of the 100 Johto mons below that are considered lol.
Well while Meganium doesn't suck it does IF you start the run as Chikorita since of the 3 starters in gen 2 Chikorita is pure CRAP and that doesn't change for the Gold/Silver remakes.
Oh, every Pokemon is significantly worse if you start from it's first stage. I've never liked doing it and there's a reason that Jrose and Scott stopped doing it. You aren't judging Meganium or a Pokemon if you start as another one.
Except in the Gen 2 games Cynaquil and Totadile ARE worth using their base forms Chikorita is NOT.
Good discussion lol.
Where's the jazzy yellow tunnel outro?
I say in the video I'm going to try to cut it out because literally the retention time at that point dips to like 2%.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 you did mention it, I was just about to leave without commenting anything, so I thought to myself...
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. There's always change ups, tweaking, and different approaches to see if things get a little better.
Some people are happy with a few hundred views but I'd like to see consistent 5 figure views one day so trial and error is something I'm always doing.
Matt stop torturing yourself lmao
This one is far from torture. There's only a few runs I'd consider true time sinks that probably aren't worth it if this isn't your job and this one wouldn't even be in the bottom 20 of runs I've done over the years. The start isn't great but I mean, medium slow leveling group, great stats. It took a whole 80 minutes of my time lol. Such torture.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 Considering what I heard about Meganium not being all soo great. It seemed like this would be a torturous run. But then again you're GymLeaderMatt, your Battle IQ is off the charts lol
Nah, I can't give myself that much credit. People just like to exaggerate for the clicks. It's not great and top of the charts fast but it does well for itself. Other people have to sell the video because it's their meal ticket. I just keep it real because I do this 1 day a week on the side and it's not my job lol.
Swimming again to Cinnabar 🫶🏽
Always Cinnabar in our hearts.
No surprise that Meganium was decent, not as good as the other two starters, but the time and resets isn't bad for it's typing and and somewhat shallow movepool. Good job Meganium also Real One!
Yea, 2 were completely random and bad luck. It did well with what it had. It was like the Ninetales of gen 2 so far.
