Honestly I'm addicted to UA-cam. I like to watch UA-cam 24/7 to avoid my life problems. My parents would yell at me more because they say I'm too lazy. I know I am I just don't want to go back to that place. That terrible place. So I try to escape it.
Mya Dragon go outdoors, wake up early, do running and cycling, play football or what ever u like, buy a motor bike and go long distance cruising some where beautiful, smoke weed.
That's really low. 74 hours every 2 weeks? That's like 37 hours per week dude. Streamers spend more then 10 hours usually trying to stream different videos for their content.
I agree with Joe's statement at 6:40 Its always an "our" problem, they need to see what is making their son make such bad decisions, instead of just banning his access to computer and act as the problem is solved.
I love the whole Jk News fam!!!!! You guys are so awesome!!!!!! All of videos seem to make me laugh, even if it's a serious subject, you find a way to make it funny!!! (Especially Joe)
JUSTKIDDINGPARTY SURVIVAL EDITION!!!!! They could do something like two different teams, each have a bunch of tasks ie start a fire, catch a fish, build a tent, etc. And see who does the best.
Chris Wave I think your on to something, because I feel like they didn't even need to go to the extreme stuff first. Like, just talk to him. How much do they really know about their son.
Chris Wave I'd say I'm addicted to games. I dread having go to work or something because I just want to play all day. I wake up at 9, start gaming by 10 latest and get to sleep at about 5am on my days off work. I don't have anger problems or anything, I just don't want to stop playing once I start so I do become lazy unless I'm not at home. I know if my parents sat me down and spoke to me it wouldn't change anything. Yeah, the parents could have done this but I'm my opinion, knowing what this guy feels for games. It wouldn't change anything. Who knows, maybe they *did* try talking to him. But I also don't believe this treatment would work. They got rid of his PC for a reason. It seems more to me that they sent him away so that they didn't have to deal with the anger of just selling his PC out of the blue
David is assuming that the family was supporting a normal life. We don't know what his family acted like off camera, Joe brought up a good point there's a reason he's so into the games.
Dude he sleeps in till 11 and sleeps at 1... bruh I sleep in until 1 in the afternoon and go to sleep at 4-7 in the morning. Well this is summer vacation tho lel
As Soon as the parents said lots of anger, I thought the interviewer was about to say, we'll have you ever considered whooping his ass, I know he's a teen, but your never too old to get a ass whooping.
Video game addiction is a very real thing as a child I used to get extreme anxiety and do almost anything to play video games i no longer have it today though
I understand the parents frustration with how their son acts. My younger brother acts the same way and it gets to the point of violence towards whoever gets in his way of playing with his friends on games. It would be normal for him to talk to them so often and game so often but he has failed a grade because of it, never wants to go places with us because of it, and spends his life always playing a game. We'll be doing things together as a family and enjoying the moment but we can never have him fully there because he always be wrapped in something. If he isn't, then he's grumpy as hell and lashes out at us. I can't imagine sending him off to this though. It just seems iffy to me.
when i was 14-16 my parents also put me in a rehabilitation center just because i play computer games. for four months i acted as if i am no longer interested in games but the moment i came home, after a month i bought another pc and played the shit out of it. moral of the story is, in todays modern world, you can never expect a kid to not play computer games. it is up to him/her if she/he decides to do other things like sports, etc.
My parents sent me to wilderness therapy when I was in high school; That shit was traumatic. They basically force you to into stockholm syndrome and don't let you leave until either your parents are convinced you've successfully been brainwashed or you turn 18. Rehabilitation is ONLY up to the person in question and cannot be forced.
The kid probably didnt want to explain scrimming to him, i saw in that clip he was playing CSGO so he was probably on a team and most teams practice like sunday through thursday 4 hours each day. Which is only 20 hours a week but obviously he is going to want free time from csgo and if not then he obviously will want to improve himself as a player and go deathmatch or go into aim maps etc. so makes sense hes putting in around 60 hours a week although removing his computer is ridiculous because obviously hes going to outburst because he was on a team and now cant play with his team because the parents removed his pc completely, if he explained how he was on a team then they could find a better schedule for him and cut back his hours on the pc but allow him to continue to practice on his team etc.
Poor kid. They want to help him, but apparently not enough to empathize with their son's situation. They just send him away so they don't have to actually connect with their fucking kid.
I was in a wilderness program for 100 days... it fucking sucked, especially in the winter in the north. The experience is traumatizing but really opens up your perception on things
I think this is a good idea maybe the kid was going through something at school and did not want to go so playing games was a escape. When you are addicted to something anger is always there with it. Placing him in this program will help him get some skills in survival and help him make friends outside of the internet so his social skills will also improve. Hopefully after the program he can have a honest conversation with his parents about what is really going on. The parents where enabling him but saw their flaws in doing so and got him the help he needs. I really think this is gonna work, being outside is a good feeling. He will appreciate this when he's older
Not everyone who plays video games for a long time is escaping from their home/school life. My cousin has a great home life and his family support system is in tact, but he just plays for hours just because it's fun.
you can start a fire with pool chlorine and brake fluid, just get sticks to burn then mix the chlorine and brake fluid on the ground then put the sticks on top and step back
I got addicted to gaming once, one summer as a kid my friend let me borrow his playstation 2 and I spent day and night playing through Final Fantasy 7, 8 and 10. I skipped showers I trained myself to get at least 5 hours of sleep and man I was a mess, I was so focused on a boss battle that I didn't even realize how much I stank.
I'm brothers like that and it's not the issue of gaming to much. It's that he Can't fucking INTERACT NORMALLY. He mumbles and can't make eye contact. fix yer like CAIN.
i don't know but i think there's a reason why he missed school for a month. Could be bullying, lost of interest, demotivation or something like that which makes video games his escape. I, too, liked video games very much that sometimes I'm unable to sleep but the motivation and interest to do real-life things are still there.
Gaming is not an addiction, it's a hobby. If someone spends 24/7 gaming, it's because they enjoy it, not because they are addicted. With the world completely full of shit, piss and vermin, you can't blame the kid for wanting to stay inside.
Flamevectros11 it's bad if he's missing school and lashing out at his mom like that. I play a lot of video games as well but when I'm not I'm still doing things I need to do
This isn't the kids fault. Its his parent's responsibility to make sure they are happy and healthy. They let him do what he wants, and he gets zero punishment for his actions. The fact that this kid finds enjoyment in a game rather than real life, explains that he has real life problems that his parents failed to address. They dont sit down with him and talk, they just confiscate his things, and then decide to put him in the wilderness to make him better. Parenting doesnt work that way.
... but did his parents go to camp and get some help? If I tried to not go to school to play games my mom would beat my ass and drop me off. It's your kid living in your house, you have to do what's best for them even if they lash out
Remember when tiff was saying she doesn't know how to punish Isaac and when she takes away his gaming shit he gets really upset and depressed so she gives it back ? Lmao he is gonna turn into this kid. Of course they will be upset when you take it ... lmao
I think Joe was on the right track when he was talking about how the boy was "escaping" his day-to-day life when he'd play these games, and when he was in the "wilderness". But I think rest of the group brought it back to a kind of old way of thinking, attributing him dropping out of school because of the games. Maybe school was a part of his life he was trying to escape. I don't think the games is the reason, it's just his solution.
MY SISTER NEEDS THIS!! NO JOKE! Some people will think I'm overreacting but her addiction is harming my relationship and the people around her. Sometimes physically. My mom once took her laptop away and locked it in her room and my crazy sister almost broke down her door! THE THING THAT MAKES ME SO MAD IS WHEN SHE STOLE MY DEBIT CARE THAT WAS FOR EMERGENCY AND USED IT FOR FUCKING LEAGUE!!! I'm not talking a couple dollars, IM TALKING ABOUT HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS AT A TIME!!! SHE'S DONE THIS TWICE. My mom made her delete the game and she did, but i found of she downloaded it again. I threatened her that I would tell our mom, but hit my all over. She punched my head, almost broke my arm, and we had a yelling fest that was like 30 minutes. This was only the first time and the same happened the second time. But I didn't know she did this a second time. My mom was watching her delete the game again and she hit my mom. SHES OUT OF HAND! I actually think she's crazy. SHE WAS LAUGHING AND SMILING WHILE ABUSING! She has failed almost all her classes. Her behaviour is not normal. Please help
Sapphire Vorabouth for therapy I think the person is supposed to be willing to go and want to go to get help themselves. I don't think you're supposed to force someone into therapy. Also if we did, she wouldn't want to be there and cooperate with us. I really want to but she is the most stubborn person you'll ever meet. She will seem normal to friends and strangers but at home and with family, she crazy. People always say they feel bad more me.
When you learn to respect nature, and look at nature with admiration, you feel the need to go out more. Just educate him and show him the beautiful side of nature. It will make him leave his house more.
Get a smart router, control the speed at night, then when he constantly loses the game because of lag. He will get frustrated and tired. Good night, boy.
I love how Joe addressed the "it's a we problem/he's escaping what's going on around him." I can definitely relate. They think it's all your fault but do they ever look to themselves as the source? nope..guess they think problems spring out of thin air lol. UA-cam has always been my escape. These MF think I've got a problem. Well let me have it then!
Bro, I'm at home playing with my friends, then someone would ask me to go to (what we call it where I live) "the Pond". I go and meet up with the same friends. That's who my homies on video games are, same homies I hang with outside
Cortez Benji I meaaaaan that's not that good of a gpa lol, at least your parents are probably not Asian af. I play like 4 hours a week and my parents still get pissed at me even though my gpa is like a 3.86
Honestly 60 hours a week isn't much. I did marching band/martial arts and stayed after school to tutor and study and still put like 48 hours a week on video games lol. If he didn't miss so much school this wouldn't even be a problem
Like Joe said, games most likely weren't the problem. Its depression and not being able to deal with problems. That was exactly my problem when I was in high school. That being said, despite the fact that his parents (from what they showed) completely ignored their son's depression and did nothing to help except try to discipline, removing him from the environment that was most likely causing his depression for a good 3+ weeks into an assumingly peaceful and calming environment would help in this situation.
Honestly I'm addicted to UA-cam. I like to watch UA-cam 24/7 to avoid my life problems. My parents would yell at me more because they say I'm too lazy. I know I am I just don't want to go back to that place. That terrible place. So I try to escape it.
Mya Dragon you and me both buddy...
Mya Dragon Be happy that it isn't a "real" addiction. Life sucks, but withdrawals suck even worse.
Mya Dragon go outdoors, wake up early, do running and cycling, play football or what ever u like, buy a motor bike and go long distance cruising some where beautiful, smoke weed.
Mya Dragon and I thought I was alone
Mya Dragon Damn , that hits home
60 hours a week? YOU GOTTA PUMP THOSE NUMBERS UP, THOSE ARE ROOKIE NUMBERS
Victor Galarza it's not that bad. I've done worse. Pulled off all nighters.
Pro gamers have about 10 more hours than those.
I play for 60 hours a week
When I don't have much time to play
R.T. Whitby dude that's nothing I slept two hours a day and gamed the rest of it all day everyday
Diablo 2 took my whole summer one year wish I knew how many hours I had in that game

60 hours a week? A WEEK? boy you better step up your game, rookie
hyper carry lol exactly those parents haven't seen anything yet
that is a lot tho. I have a gaming youtube channel and I only do like 74 hours every 2 weeks
That's really low. 74 hours every 2 weeks?
That's like 37 hours per week dude.
Streamers spend more then 10 hours usually trying to stream different videos for their content.

Sinera Ha 69 likes
Kelvin Tan so? tiff already was a parent. they stopped cuz they didnt have anything to talk about on there anymore
Valour that's not true, it's becuse they wanted to focus more on the movie and all the channels was taking to much time from them.
I agree with Joe's statement at 6:40
Its always an "our" problem, they need to see what is making their son make such bad decisions, instead of just banning his access to computer and act as the problem is solved.
Sounds like my life. I get up at 10 - 11 am and play video games off and on throughout the day until 11 pm; I even play the same games as him.
OMG I just realized why they call the dating app Tinder, because tinder is a fire starter. Therefore the app helps start the flame of a relationship
Gabby yes
lol Bart would crush
Psh, it's not a problem until you're shittting your adult diaper
How about, be parents?...
Chris Wave I think your on to something, because I feel like they didn't even need to go to the extreme stuff first. Like, just talk to him. How much do they really know about their son.

HE WAS ALMOST OUT OF BRONZE 5 WHYD U SEND HIM AWAY
He is the reason why I don't want voicechat in league XD
omg I friggen LOVE Julia's hair right know!
There needs to be a JKParty camping survival competition lol I would watch tf out of that
David is assuming that the family was supporting a normal life. We don't know what his family acted like off camera, Joe brought up a good point there's a reason he's so into the games.

Really love Julia's contribution to the videos lately. Mostly consisting of "Oohhhh" and minor facial expressions
HEEYYY HOOOYYY PROUD SAMOAN HERE 😂💁🏻💁🏻 🇼🇸🇼🇸🇼🇸🇼🇸🇼🇸
I saw Julia at the Anime Expo yesterday! When I yelled her name amongst the crowd, she just waved, walked away and I still felt really happy haha
Doesn't look like a gaming addiction to me rather a escape from real life
Lmao David's singing in the beginning 😂

"like at home like I was like that like"
Could the lashing out be that puberty thing I keep hearing about from all the cool kids in the playground
can we just take a moment a appreciate David's "in~" at the beginning of the video #blessed 🙏🙏

Bart wouldn't be the type of wilderness survival guy, he would have a gold plated lighter to start a fire.
"i write songs about the wilderness" again the perfect time to quote nacho Librè
Congrats Geo and Bart and love you guys Jk News
when i was 14-16 my parents also put me in a rehabilitation center just because i play computer games.

When david talked about survival stuff it reminded me of crazy russian hacker lol Hello everyone welcome to my Laboratory.
Me ThankMe safety is number one priority

I NEED JKNEWS OR JKPARTY TO GO CAMPING AND TEAM UP TO SURVIVE FOR A FEW DAYS! I NEED THIS!!!!
Poor kid. They want to help him, but apparently not enough to empathize with their son's situation. They just send him away so they don't have to actually connect with their fucking kid.
Arthur imagine he died on the program
I was in a wilderness program for 100 days... it fucking sucked, especially in the winter in the north. The experience is traumatizing but really opens up your perception on things
I think this is a good idea maybe the kid was going through something at school and did not want to go so playing games was a escape. When you are addicted to something anger is always there with it. Not everyone who plays video games for a long time is escaping from their home/school life. My cousin has a great home life and his family support system is in tact, but he just plays for hours just because it's fun.
he must not take their discipline seriously because my kid plays games a lot but when I tell him to stop he does without question.
you can start a fire with pool chlorine and brake fluid, just get sticks to burn then mix the chlorine and brake fluid on the ground then put the sticks on top and step back
I got addicted to gaming once, one summer as a kid my friend let me borrow his playstation 2 and I spent day and night playing through Final Fantasy 7, 8 and 10.
He mumbles and can't make eye contact. fix yer like CAIN.
unless you play video games and upload them on UA-cam now it's not an addiction anymore
i don't know but i think there's a reason why he missed school for a month. Could be bullying, lost of interest, demotivation or something like that which makes video games his escape. I, too, liked video games very much that sometimes I'm unable to sleep but the motivation and interest to do real-life things are still there.
everyone here saying 60 hrs ain't much
I'm just envious of all the time yalls got x_x chores, cooking, cleaning, errands everyday 😭
Gaming is not an addiction, it's a hobby. If someone spends 24/7 gaming, it's because they enjoy it, not because they are addicted. With the world completely full of shit, piss and vermin, you can't blame the kid for wanting to stay inside.
Flamevectros11 if it affects your relationship with others and you cant step away from it then its an addiction..
Flamevectros11 it's bad if he's missing school and lashing out at his mom like that. I play a lot of video games as well but when I'm not I'm still doing things I need to do
My parents smashed my PlayStation cause we were so addicted to it.
It worked.
60/week? Those are rookies numbers, you gotta pump those number up!
This isn't the kids fault. Its his parent's responsibility to make sure they are happy and healthy. They let him do what he wants, and he gets zero punishment for his actions. The last time I was this early Bart wasn't pedo Bart
Tenaha McLean What?
Arthur he isn't a pedo. He just makes jokes
Can anyone link to where he said that stuff? I'm curious now.
How so? Is it unreasonable to want to actually hear him say the stuff that people claim he said? I'm just curious.
Tenaha McLean you cant see hes joking ? i hope you are joking too
Joe is my state of mind. ♥️
Wait do they keep filming jk news in the old office
WTF!! this is a punishment ?
That's my fuckin dream to miss school and live among the animals 😈
hahaha your username and profile picture
Bruh, I play 9 hours a day! XD
That's it?
CARRB Gaming 9 x 7 (7 days in a week) = 63. 3 hours more than his. Not that much :P
that reminds me, when is y'all gon play on JKG like yall said
a simple correction, joe said that the kid would go back home and play league again, the kid was playing CSGO.
Love yall
Remember when tiff was saying she doesn't know how to punish Isaac and when she takes away his gaming shit he gets really upset and depressed so she gives it back ? Lmao he is gonna turn into this kid. Of course they will be upset when you take it ... lmao

the king of awesome shout out (liquid bag to start fire)
Oh please my friend goes to sleep at 6 am playing videogames and wakes up at 6:30 am to keep playing. Get on his level
I just came here to say LMAO. 😂😂😂😂

I fucking love Joe in this video
This guy put in the same or even more hours than the pro gamers!
Get a smart router, control the speed at night, then when he constantly loses the game because of lag. He will get frustrated and tired. Good night, boy.
I love how Joe addressed the "it's a we problem/he's escaping what's going on around him." I can definitely relate. 60 hours, those are rookie numbers, you got to push those numbers up
Nigga started punching trees in the wilderness
About a year ago i used to put 150 hours every 2 weeks into rust.
I play Paragon (MOBA) for six hours straight, but I still get a 3.47 GPA at school so my parents are cool with it.
Cortez Benji I play all types of games whenever I can but I have a 4.0 gpa lol
Cortez Benji I meaaaaan that's not that good of a gpa lol, at least your parents are probably not Asian af. I play like 4 hours a week and my parents still get pissed at me even though my gpa is like a 3.86
Jason Yang It's probably not good in the United States, but here in Barcelona it's very good because it's harder I think.
TrilogyCS no lol that's only average in the us
Cortez Benji yeah I guess that may make sense
Before watching the video I'm going to assume David uses his "What a LOSER line" or something close to it lol.
Edit: nvm 😂
When joe made that league of legends joke xD
Barts cutting, meanwhile geo is bulking
the parents just should've locked away his electronics.
I want Hoolia to report the news 💙💙
I haven't seen Julia host for a long time! I want to see her host!
at least the people would get along because they have something in common.
Honestly 60 hours a week isn't much. I did marching band/martial arts and stayed after school to tutor and study and still put like 48 hours a week on video games lol. If he didn't miss so much school this wouldn't even be a problem
lol my friends and i do way more than this together, probs about 18 hours normally and 10 hours if we had school
Back in my rookie season during the MW2 days I was probably averaging 90 hours a week.
I saw that when it came out on TV at work.
