Cohh completely butchered the Red Lobster story. Red Lobster got bought out by a Seafood conglomerate (with a leveraged Buyout, meaning they took on loans to make the purchase). Their parent company preceded to sell off all of their real estate and transferred the debt from the buyout to Red Lobster. That meant that Red Lobster now not only had a mountain of debt from their own purchase to pay off, but also now needed to pay rent on all their stores. The Parent company then also forced a bunch of bad deals on the company to supply the shrimp for the "endless shrimp special". They bled the company dry, and then declared had them bankruptcy. The banks that made the loans can mark any remaining debt on the balance sheet from the bankruptcy off their taxes, reducing how much they pay into society. It's total BS.
Tax write-offs do not work like that lmao. People seem to think that tax write-offs are some magic money loophole that means losing money is actually good. Unless youre taxed at 100% that is never true.
2:10:51 Having Zeke rant about the beeping of the register in TCG Shop Sim while at the same time having a video play of him turning the lights off on a customer & yelling at them is so funny!!
One of the reasons Chevron is there is Big Oil is (I'm not joking) making a strategic effort to brand themselves better with young people, as they're aware that young people are the most critical of Big Oil and believe (rightfully) in climate change. A news outlet did a story on it a couple of months back. Twitch probably got a big bag of cash for having them there. Although IMO, I think Twitch failed to consider how bad that makes them look...
I am only recently (9months) into following the pod and its great, the only thing i find hard is cohh seems very dis interested in pretty much every episode, its like he is playing another game and pipes up when a keyword hits his ears. Zek and JP are focused on the pod and what each other are saying.
Heres my review of TC as a viewer/affiliate: it isnt for us. Its for the superfan that also wants to network. As someone whos been to 22/23/24, its been decreasingly less for the casual. Never done a Meet n Greet and no plan to (IMO if you want to meet your fav, get good enough to be worthy of it for business), sponsors on the show floor are increasingly less relevant, shoutout GameSaru for the arcade which i loved, but the whole showfloor event can be completed in a day. The Party was lackluster tbh. The Party only had free food/3 Drinks(beer was free, 3 cocktails included in cost, same as 2023) of 5th/L St. to Island Street. Games were lackluster, Escape Room on Gaslamp was booked since at least 5pm (party started at 7). TLDR, If youre in SD, and the less time youre not in TC, the better, bc youre likely being paid for it. Whether by from sponsored appearances, or streaming from your AirBnB.
I honestly think it would be an amazing interview if you contacted Ironmouse or her people through some of your other contacts and got her on to talk about vtubing and why she went that route and her career and what got her to where she is her personal stream story is so different and inspirational then many of the other streamers you've had on. She also is one of the "new gen" streamers that has mad respect for the old guard of streamers so I can guarantee she'd love to be on. I also think more female guests in general would be nice. Like if you can Maya on to talk about Alveous and charity streaming and running an animal based stream etc since you know her and all.
Looking at the official Halo 3rd person video put out, I kinda like it. Always happy to have more options for players, and I it looked good. Makes sense for the kind of gameplay Halo offers, imo. Hope it comes to campaign mode as well.
When I used to play League of Legends at night with friends: We lost, we can't end the night with a bad game though, so let's play another one. We won, great, we finally turned it around, lets play another one.
TCG Shop simulator is fun, but the XP generates too slowly and stops being fun around level 18-20. And that's with stocked shelves and 12 tables being played on.
I'm fine with adding third person to FPS games as long as they start adding first person mode to third-person games. Nothing worse than having a third of my screen blocked by my own character.
New world has the absolute worst communication between player and developer I've ever seen. Regardless of how much they change the game, I don't think I could ever go back to play it after being so disrespected.
cohh acting surprised nexus mods is hosting the Pokémon tcg shop mod is so funny lmao, you can tell hes never modded games, there's pokemon mods for every single game on nexus and has been for decades
Kind of wish Bethesda did what Blizzard do with Diablo that makes the chosen one work by making that character the Wanderer who is referenced in every game following it. Also Nintendo can do nothing about mods and i love it, there are so many Warcraft 3 Pokemon mods its glorious. I think the reason Tower Defence thrived back then was the Pokemon TD that got casuals getting the game JUST to play the mod like with DotA and NvB. Is there a Yugioh mod?
Starfield DLC spoilers ahead. Cohh kinda missed the elephant in the room about Shattered Space. It is practically made on Morrowind template. Unique religious belief system, ruling houses, local variant of kwama that is a major source of food economy, inaccessible mountain in the middle of the map potentially waiting to go boom, some degree of verticality with localized floating bubbles to facilitate the levitation that is used to access places that are normally unreachable (except we have booster packs). Same "mountain" blocked by the barrier around it. Outskirts of the barrier are riddled with various husks. And inside you find a local version of Dagoth Ur. Not to mention red and brown outlook of the landscape. Ah yes, you are also Promised just like Nerevarine, playing almost the exact same role. Bethesda mentioned Morrowind as a source of inspiration for this DLC in recent Gamesradar interview, but to me they weren't really inspired by it, they pretty much just recreated it and crammed into a 10-12 hour DLC.
In the beginning of the game Varric(the bard style character thats been in all the games) does a seemless recap of the story. One of the reviewers hadnt played much of the other games and he said it was a pretty good way for him to understand what was going on.
I haven't seen what they've done now - but I am certain they are not. Not praising them either, but there are worse contenders out there, and easily so. Scamming, polluting, warring.
Well, to be totally honest here; Nintendo ain’t killing people… first link off a Google search and it’s just the tip of a massively horrendous iceberg: “ Coca-Cola killed trade unionists in Latin America. General Motors built vehicles known to catch fire. Tobacco companies suppressed cancer research. And Boeing knew that its planes were dangerous. Corporations don't care if they kill people - as long as it's profitable.”
They might be joking about it, but i think it must be said. Sometimes gamers do are at fault. We as customers do have responsibilities. One of many - manage expectations. Starfield DLC is a clear example. The game is FINE. DLC is FINE. Being not what you expected doesn't mean its bad. Titanfall 2 is another such example, where gamers are at fault this game did not succeeded as it should.
regarding TCG shop pokemon mod: It's completely irrelevant if money has exchanged hands, it's a clear and blatant copyright violation. They do not need to be making money for it to be in breach of copyright. This is a trap that too many people fall into. They think that as long as they aren't taking money, they are safe. Not the case. This is an easy takedown from Nintendo and Nexus would be on the hook for damages for hosting it.
Ubisoft Skull and Bones: 10+ YEARS in development at a cost north of $850 MILLION. Then they added Woke DEI to the rest of their games and wonder why gamers don't want their shallow stuff?
Eeeyyyy! Thanks for the raving review, Zeke! Really appreciate it, and super glad you enjoyed our foul mouthed time traveling angel game!
Hell yeah he sold me on it! I’ll definitely check it out

53:38 I think it's just to collect and sell player behavior and statistics. In Sony's eyes that might be more valuable than game sales.
1:11:58 - Zeke, haven't you heard: You will own nothing, and you will be happy :D :D :D
Lets not forget starfield is charging for individual quests and chains now with its awful creation kit
Sony's going on an Ad run. That's the only thing that makes sense. They need high numbers to bring the advertisers in.
