    Great video, I absolutely love the OCD approach! Extremely thorough and the best prevention for avoiding issues later. Well done and something I will definitely do on mine for this upcoming track season.

      glad this video is a good guide to do yours it really is a great upgrade to swap pads if you use the OEM bolts each time you will curse in agony.

    Hello, this is Patti from Caliperfexion. You did a great job with the installation. One thing I'd like to point out. You mentioned potential galling and stainless, and you're not mistaken. The steps we in recommend to avoid galling are to never remove the fasteners when they are too hot to touch by hand, never use impact tools on brake hardware (unless you plan on throwing it away), and to use the included thread lubricant along with the requisite adjusted torque figure. Installing the 4340 CT10 studs dry isn't an issue but there is an advantage to using the ARP lubricant there too as it will provide accurate and consistent torque readings along with enhanced corrosion protection. Beyond that we really enjoyed the video. Good job!

    Great video but what’s the knees the way or a special tool to push in the Pistons

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  2 роки тому

      remove the master cylinder cap and i use my fingers which are strong to push the pistons back or you can easily use a soft jaw squeeze clamp

    Thanks for this video. So once you use the ARP (or OP Mustang) studs from the kit once, you no longer need to replace them like you should with the OEM caliper bolts each time? Just loosen and re-torque the nuts?

    Really useful tip on slitting the bolt. I really like the slider tools for the studs.

    Too bad Caliperfexion seems to be out of Business

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  2 роки тому +2

      I did reach out to them a while back they said they plan to offer these kits again but the supply shortages and material inflation makes it very hard to do niche manufacturing now. it is a shame what has happened to the world in a short 2 years it has devastated so many small business in all industries.

    As always - quality video on quality products with real practical performance improvements. I put this same set on my GT350 and loved it. Great for track day pad swapping.

    Great video. Are you not using a piston compressor before placing the new pads?

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  2 роки тому

      No i never use those, if i ever need to compress pistons i open the master cylinder cap and i use a rubber jaw squeeze clamp or my fingers its pretty easy once you let the pressure out by loosening the cap at the master

    These would be awesome for the Subaru people with the STI Brembos that seize up all the time. Bucky could do a video on it too.

    • @Chase_AM
      @Chase_AM 3 роки тому

      Its not really an option with the Subaru brembos due to the mounting bolts being perpendicular to the rotor, not parallel like this application.

    What kind of pads do you use. I have a 19 and the original pads make bad dust.

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  3 роки тому +1

      try the Hawk 5.0 or the Hawk Ceramics much less dust and still great brakes on the street but if you push the car very hard stick with the OEM
