Please would you consider making a video to discuss when it is appropriate to use "care" rather than "ce" when raising a question that would be rendered in English using "what" (rather than "which", which appears to be the naive translation in English of "care").

In number 5, why do you need the -o in împrumutat-o?

    Care, who
    Pe care, whom

I wish things were that simple, but I personally do not advise reducing these pronouns to their supposedly English “equivalents”, because English and Romanian function differently and such translations are not always accurate. Yes, WHO refers to the subject of a sentence, the same as CARE does in Romanian and WHOM refers to its object, just like PE CARE, but they do not always play the same syntactic role in both languages. Not all verbs require the same grammatical cases in English as they do in Romanian. Romanian is highly inflected and the pronoun CARE has different forms for different cases. So, in case of a sentence like: “This book is for those WHO like to travel”, by your logic, you would translate it as: “Cartea aceasta este pentru cei CARE le place să călătorească”, which is actually incorrect, as the verb “a-i plăcea” requires the dative case, so, it should be “Cartea aceasta este pentru cei CĂRORA le place să călătorească”. And here’s another example that uses WHOM in English, but CARE in Romanian: “Voi sunteți cei în CARE am încredere” = “You are the ones WHOM I trust”. Also, WHO is mainly used for people, not things, whereas CARE is used both for people and things. You can’t translate “cartea pe care o citesc” as “the book whom I’m reading”, can you?
Therefore, the safest way to use these pronouns right in Romanian, is to find out if they refer to the subject or the object of the Romanian sentence, rather than to use literal translations. 😉

What you say is true, but context would make it clear as to which be correct.
